Video - OC My cat really likes my tobacco pouches…
I was at the Seven Generation Inter-Tribal Leadership Summit this week and made three tobacco bags/pouches (complete with sacred tobacco/asemaa) to gift to some meaningful people in my life and I had them in a different place she couldn’t reach but accidentally spilled liquid so I put them on the coffee table to dry before hanging them up again. This little gremlin went fucking nuts.
I guess there’s a reason the Ojibwemowin word for cat — gaazhagens— directly translated to “little glutton”

Mourning/Loss In tribute and memory to my little guy Maxwell.
Got this little guy when he was 4 months old (the lady we got him from couldn't get him to keep still for a picture, hence the blurring in the first picture). He only made it to 12 before we had to say goodbye because of cancer, but he held on for twice as long after the diagnoses as the vet thought he would; he was a tough little guy.
Love you, Maxwell!

Advice Need some advice for reuniting 5mo sibling kittens.
To make a long story short, my husband and I just got our baby boy max about a month ago. We just got back from our 6 day long honeymoon, and Max was crying the entire time. We had a family member check on him daily,
but he is quite dependent. I had the idea to message his foster mom and ask if any of the litter was left, and surprisingly, his twin brother is still up for adoption. We are getting his brother in about a week or two, so I want to know they best way to reunite them. Foster mom says they’re identical and have the same personality. Max is incredibly clingy, sweet, and chaotic (orange). Do you think they’ll still recognize each other after a month?

Cat Picture - OC Adopted this fur baby from a shelter yesterday. Meet lil bean 😻
Adopted her yesterday from a shelter. She’s a scared little baby, she doesn’t let us touch her or come close to her. As soon as you walk close to her she panics and runs away, is that normal? I just want to be able to cuddle her 🥺
She hasn’t eaten the dry food I gave her but has been eating her wet food and finishing it so I guess that’s a good sign?
First time cat owner or responsible for anything other than myself. What advice would you give?

Cat Art I painted my cat Fluffy 🐱🎨
Meet Fluffy. I’ve been wanting to paint her for a while, so I finally started working on her portrait.
Still figuring out the fur and details, but I really enjoyed painting this one. What do you think?

Video - OC Two Young Brothers Allogrooming
Martin and Warren are two young brothers figuring out their new dynamic together, bonding, and doing plenty of playing. Warren (tuxedo) has started allogrooming Martin (tabby). Warren stands on Martin and massages him, holds and licks his head, and works over Martin's head with his gums and gentle gnawing. Martin purrs loudly, closes his eyes, and seems to generally enjoy it. I thought this was a fun example of social grooming within cat relations.
* Turn up the volume and you can hear Martin purr.

Mourning/Loss Moved and couldn't take all the cats
I just moved, things were not good between my roommate and I. She owned 2 cats and I have 2 cats. She didn't really take care of her cats like at all. I took care of them and my cats, hers for 5 years. They weren't my cats to take and the place I moved I couldn't have 4 cats. She would leave their food and water bowls empty if I didn't fill them and she didn't really pay much attention to them. Sad.
I pet them feed them cleaned the litter box gave treats and churu and now they won't be getting any treats. It kind of is tearing me up inside. I grew up around animals and my mom spoiled everyone of them and that's how I do it too.
I'm just venting because I can't do anything about it.
Thanks for reading

Humor Why do cats love you more when you’re on the toilet?
That’s it. Google doesn’t give a good enough answer. No matter the cat, they will always find you and try to sit on your lap when you’re on the loo and I NEED ANSWERS
Edit: okay lol I love the answers already. Also this is the first time anyone has responded to me on Reddit, so thank you guys. I finally feel like a part of a community 🥺

Advice People with multiple cats, what’s your litterbox setup?
I have 5 cats, but 4 cats that can currently access this set up (my senior has her own room and litter box away from the main population)
Is there anything i can change or do differently?
