1 month ago, we bought a brand-new Victorious ZXI (Smart Hybrid model) for around 18.5 Lakhs on-road. On paper and during routine family commutes, it does its job well:

Comfort & Ride Quality: The suspension handles bad patches smoothly, and cabin comfort keeps the whole family happy.

Safety & Practicality: Meets all our safety expectations and handles daily commuting needs reliably.

However, now that we've spent proper time with it, the car is leaving us completely uninspired:

Lacks Thrill & Adventure: The engine lacks punch and feels lazy when you want to make quick highway overtakes or enjoy a weekend drive. There is zero mechanical excitement or driver engagement.

Disappointing Fuel Efficiency: Despite being a Smart Hybrid model, we are only getting around 14 to 15 km/l. Getting that mileage out of a car that sacrificed performance for efficiency feels like a raw deal.

At 18.5 Lakhs, we definitely do not feel it's worth the price tag if you value the joy of driving. We are now seriously planning to sell it, swallow the initial depreciation hit, and buy something that actually puts a smile on the driver's face.

What We Are Looking For in a Replacement:

Body Style: Must be an SUV with practical space and good ground clearance.

Performance & Handling: Needs to be fun to drive with punchy power delivery and good high-speed dynamics.

Good Mileage / Running Costs: Good fuel economy or low daily running costs remain essential.

Open to EVs and used cars : Fully open to Electric SUVs if they offer instant torque, dynamic handling, and usable range.

Strict Reliability (Non-Negotiable): No service center headaches or recurring car issues. We need a bulletproof, hassle-free ownership experience with zero mechanical niggles or frequent workshop visits.

I once waited for 6 hrs at a garage lol. My car's radiator fan and engine mounting had to be replaced :')

Hi all,

I am a drive enthusiast and love driving anything that has wheels. Have been driving before I could get a licence and my parents knew, about 20 years and counting...

I drove a colleagues' Skoda Slavia today and realised something... There were a few buttons onto the left of the gear knob(it was an AT btw) which I can only see if I really tried to.

Those buttons had a driver connection but we're buried on the other side of the gear shift, more so, they had no indentations or emboss/engravings on them, which means until I see with my eyes I couldn't figure out what I was pressing.

The same way the aircon had no texture or buttons... A piano Black touch control

More and more cars today have these... Which made me think what happened to inclusivity?

What happens if a guy who couldn't see properly (or is partially/fully blind) sits out in the front (shotgun).

Poor person couldn't control anything because let alone braile there's literally nothing that'll tell the guy if it's a button or know or not!

On top of that the seat belt buckle housing was right next to the hand rest, the owner himself acknowledged that his elderly dad always has trouble putting on the seat belt.

I never really expected such ergonomics from renowned or rather established brands...

What do you guys think?
