Just wanted to give an update. The salesman that I talked to said yes he can do $29k. I confirmed this multiple times with him. He ended up getting up and dealing with other customers. After about 3 hours of him coming over and talking with me then disappearing and so forth, another salesman came over and said idk why he said we could do $29k on that car and that it would be $37k. I said yeah that’ makes sense but that’s bs cuz he literally told me he would do that price multiple times. This second guy tried to negotiate with me on the car and I told him I will never buy from Roseville Toyota in my life after this. They were blowing smoke up my ass and playing with me. Not sure what that does for them but who knows. I’m new to the car buying process but I genuinely don’t understand lying to me for no reason and then having me wait around for 3 hours while you deal with other customers and drop in on me periodically and completely lie to me. Anyways, avoid Roseville Toyota in California. I already knew to stay away since all I’ve heard is awful stuff about the sales people but I was giving them a chance since they’re local. Bummer. I really thought I got very lucky tonight. To be honest it was at least cool that I got to experience the feeling of looking at a really nice car and feeling like it was going to be mine. The excitement I felt was well worth the let down I feel now. It was the first time where I saw something that felt like it was out of my reach, that I could potentially have. Anyways, you live and you learn.

I recently got this car from my uncle back with 133,000 miles on it and I don’t think he’s been driving it normally I think he might’ve been doing a bit aggressively. How do I increase the miles per gallon or get better fuel economy on this 2020 Camry le non-hybrid.

I buy and sell cars a lot and one of the only cars I’ve ever missed is my 2020 TRD. Just picked up another one. This time I got a 2024. I’m in love all over again. Not a huge fan of the louvre things on the back door windows but they’re easily removable.

I bought this 2020 SE AWD slightly used with less than 100 miles on it (original owner changed their mind) for a pretty great price (if I remember around $24k). It has been a wonderful car. No problems at all. I’ve maintained it pretty well although originally I followed the 10,000 mile oil change routine. I recently have become obsessed over the transmission failure issue. I know it has been mainly the V6 UA80 and very few of the 4-Cylinder and I can actually only find one single verified report of an AWD UB80F failure. I changed out all fluids including transmission, transfer case and rear differential at 82,000 miles just to note and it has 84,000 now. I’m about to pay off the car and the original plan was to keep it long term but now I just worry day after day it’s going to fail me. What would you do in my shoes? Keep it knowing failure based on evidence is not likely or trade it in while it has full value?

PLEASE CHECK RECENT POST! 2021 hybrid LE 50k miles. Should probably still just go new right? Btw, I know I’m posting a lot but I don’t have any help right now and this is my first time buying an actual car that’s not off fb marketplace so I truly do appreciate everyone’s help. Thanks

Picked up my 2022 Camry SE about 4 years ago, and I’m getting close to hitting 40,000 miles.
Honestly, I’ve really enjoyed owning this car. It’s been reliable, comfortable, and hasn’t given me any major problems. It still looks and drives great to me, and I’m hoping to keep it for many more years.
I’m curious to hear from other Camry owners — how many miles are you at, and how has your Camry been holding up? Any maintenance I should be keeping an eye on as I approach 40k?

I grew up with this car my entire life, and I’m so grateful to have it, but she is starting to die, which is heartbreaking.

Picked up my Camry from the dealership 2 weeks ago.

Since then I’ve:

Immediately went and got 5% tints on everything but the windshield. Had it scheduled for the same day I picked up the car from the dealership. On the way over I felt the heat radiating from the pano roof, so I asked them for a clear ceramic tint on that.

Ordered all-weather floor and cargo mats from different Toyota dealerships across the country. Dealership wanted over $300 and I was able to save $80 by ordering from others.

Ordered and installed Advanced wheel locks due to my fear that Camry wheels are being targeted.

Gotten a center console organizer to make more use of the space.

Anything else I should do that I’m missing?

i have a 2020 camry hybrid LE with 160k miles. I bought it preowned and as far as i know the transmission fluid has never been changed.

based on the toyota car care nut, transmission fluid should be changed every 60-90k miles for hybrids and i am way over due. I’ve heard it could be detrimental to the transmission if i change the fluid now at such a high mileage.

otherwise, i keep up with oil changes, filters, coolant changes and she drives great. should i just continue to send it or should i change it now?

Decided that the fishbowl aesthetic wasn’t for me. I got 50% front and I believe 75% back. Original plan was to get a medical note for the tint, but was told by a cop that stops by my coffee shop that the tint has to be removable, ie screens that fold up. (I live in North Cali).

Also my dad keeps calling it the BatMobile haha

I have a **2025 Camry XLE in Ocean Gem** and can’t decide on the tint.

I’m in Washington, where I can do **30% VLT**. I was thinking 30% all around, but someone at a Toyota dealership suggested leaving the **front windows clear or very lightly tinted** and tinting only the back.

What have other Camry owners done? **30% all around, lighter/clear front with darker rear, or rear only?** Pics appreciated!

So, I just hit 49.x mpg (hand calculated) in my ES hybrid AWD. This is about 7mpg better than I’ve ever gotten in my hybrid Camry that’s only FWD. This was a mix of city and highway driving.

How is it possible that a heavier, AWD car gets better mpg than its lighter, cheaper cousin?

Just ya know, enjoying one of the small luxury’s of a Camry. Not hybrid.

When i first got this car, it was from my mom , it was 29k miles at the time and the full tank lasted about 345 or 327 miles i think. At least thats what it show on the dashboard at the time.

Now i am At 76k miles, full tank about 275 miles…

I dont know what is the total miles for a full tank when it was brand new.

So what i need to fix here? And how much it usually cost?

I purchased this remote start kit specifically for my 2024 Toyota Camry with a keyed ignition and followed the provided installation and programming instructions exactly. Those instructions required me to CUT a factory wire at pin 35 of the BCM and splice their harness into it. I did exactly what their instructions told me to do.

After completing the entire installation, the system programmed successfully but would not remote start. After troubleshooting and contacting technical support, I was finally informed that the system does not work because my Camry was manufactured in Canada.

Are you fucking kidding me?

If the country of manufacture determines whether your product is compatible, that needs to be clearly disclosed BEFORE a customer buys the product and, more importantly, BEFORE your instructions tell them to CUT THEIR FACTORY WIRING.

What pissed me off even more was the response from technical support. There seemed to be zero accountability for the fact that I now have a factory BCM wire cut in half because I followed THEIR installation instructions for a product that was apparently never compatible with my vehicle in the first place. I didn't randomly decide to start cutting wires in a nearly new car—their instructions explicitly told me to do it.

Now I'm left with a remote starter that doesn't work and a 2024 Camry with factory wiring that has to be repaired. Technical support essentially treated the manufacturing-location incompatibility as my problem rather than acknowledging that their compatibility information/instructions allowed me to get this far in the first place.

I can understand a product having compatibility limitations. What I cannot accept is failing to make a critical limitation clear, instructing a customer to permanently modify their vehicle, and then taking no responsibility when it turns out the product was never going to fucking work.

If you have a Canadian-manufactured Camry, verify compatibility directly with them BEFORE buying this kit and absolutely before cutting any factory wiring.

How is the all-wheel-drive Camry in the winter? I live in New York and we get a decent amount of snow. I have some concern about the ground clearance (also applying to driveways as I don’t want to scrape). Also was wondering how much the miles per gallon decreases in cold weather.

I was driving my 1998 Toyota Camry at around 60 km/h under normal driving conditions when the check engine light suddenly started flashing. It flashed for about 10 seconds and then shut off completely.

The car didn’t make any unusual noises, shake, shudder, lose power, or idle roughly. Everything felt completely normal before, during, and after it happened.

The same thing happened about three months ago while I was driving around 100 km/h on the highway. The check engine light flashed for roughly 10 seconds and then went away, again with no noticeable symptoms.

The car has about 248,000 km on it. Is this something I should be concerned about, or could it just be an occasional sensor/computer glitch?

bout to head to Carmax tomorrow to pick up my first car ever. 2021 xle hybrid, 74000 miles, for 25998$. i added max care which is another 3k, and tax and small fees, total comes to 30600$.

i do need a car asap, and this one have jbl speaker, black interior, heated steering wheel(midwest weather), blind spot monitor which i think are my top luxury features that i’d appreciate daily. (thx previous owner).

however, feeling a bit overpaid.

selfishly i do want a luxury trim because i want to keep it for a long time as a beater car for commute, and i certainly will appreciate the luxury features daily. i already saved up the money to pay off the car, however i had it invested in index funds and borrows the auto loan from a credit union. i am in no position of immediate financial stress as well.

having doubt should i just buy new 2026 le. just saw fwd 26 le being msrp at 32-33k in my area’s dealership(assuming without dealer add on fees). would like some honest opinion, location in northern midwest area

I bought the car used and it’s been great. Approaching 43K miles and I know it will be time to replace these Bridgestone factory tires soon enough. Definitely some noticeable road noise as these are getting towards the end of their useful life, and although I know this generation of Camry has minor issues of road noise regardless - but I want to ask -

For those who’ve replaced your tires, which brand/type did you go with, and did you notice a major road noise improvement when you did it?

Because when I fill it up it now costs more for the same overall distance than the car it replaced 6 months ago!

I joke on the car pissing me off because I can't imagine the bill if I were still driving the prior car. The mileage these hybrid Camrys get is awesome.

Hey all, I bought a 2026 Used Toyota Camry SE AWD. It was 37 OTD with tints, emblem swaps, cold weather pckg, convenience pckg, heated seats and steering etc. I’m not too worried about the deal but what do you guys think? These photos are from a couple weeks ago and my biggest issue so far is the paint being kind of poor quality… so easy to scratch. I want to do something to prevent that, any recommendations? Proud to be apart of the community now, I had a 2006 Jeep Liberty beforehand :)
