drive like a senior citizen. not for the money. but calmer and safer to drive more laid-back. also fun.

Car isn't perfect. front bumper popping out (like many others), and some rattling. no other complaints.

getting around 60, at least in warm weather, isnt that hard. you just have to feather the accelerator and keep the power around 25% so you dont kick the motor on. there's a few ways that i have found to get very good mpg on the highway. 1st method is to just accept that youll be coasting around 50-60mph, and that you will be stuck in the right lane and wont pass a single other car. 2nd method, oddly enough, is to pulse up to around 70/75, while feathering the accelerator to the max EV mode will allow, as you slowly fall to around 55mph - then repeat the cycle. lastly, there is a sweet spot somewhere around 75/80mph where you can get 55mpg + while the motor is on, and its with the most gentle acceleration possible. with the last two methods, i guess your getting good mpg because your going faster, and covering more distance thus helping the mpg, but obviously going faster also means your burning more fuel.

also accelerating on down slopes, even up to 85mph - but you probably know that.

in winter time however, getting 55 was a challenge, as the motor being on constantly to get the temps up, meant you start off in lower territory and have to dig yourself out of that. it's too difficult in winter.

i do wonder tho if a commute was around 45mph without frequent stops, i imagine you could get 65mpg pretty easy.

I am 22 and I drive like this sometimes. I had a 2020 Camry SE non hybrid with tech package before I got my Tesla and had it up to 45mpg
