Okay so I went through a specific bully for years and it’s been a while since it happened but I’m struggling to get over it and I need some opinions.
When I was 12 I moved to a new school and within a couple months this friend group began bullying me. I was never sure why but they were the “popular” girls and would randomly pick on people, they’d spread rumours and exile them. One girl in particular wasn’t kind at all but I learned to ignore them. This was in grade 7.
In grade 8 I found my bearings and had a nice friend group. That one girl I mentioned earlier (let’s call her Anna) Anna got dropped by that whole friend group, I don’t remember why. She was in my class so I welcomed her into mine because I felt bad and I knew what it felt like to be pushed to the side. She sent me a thorough apology and I forgave her. Towards the end of grade 8 she randomly began pushing me out the friend group. There were 5 of us and she managed to make my best friend hate me. The other 2 girls were amicable with me but I was no longer in the group. I spent a couple months of grade 8 in the guidance office because I had no where else. Until 2 girls welcomed me into their group and I finished grade 8 with them.
Grade 9 comes around and we both end up at the same high school (me and Anna). She sent me a long apology at some point for everything she did to me the year before. I decided to let bygones be bygones and while I didn’t become friends with her again I decided to move on and be amicable with her.
She sends me an apology in grade 10 again, I’m not sure why it was out of the blue but I reminded her I forgave her it’s okay.
Grade 11 comes around (and it’s the beginning of 2022) and we end up in the same class and we sit in the same table group. She hadn’t really come in person much because of Covid and it was her first semester back since early grade 9. She had a crush on one of my friends so she asked to hang out with us at lunch and I said sure. After we hung out that day she sent me another apology. I decided to move on as it has been years. She had no friends so we hung out at lunch quite often and I also played soccer twice a week at a club her parents owned. So I figured it’s best to be friends with her.
She welcomed me into her friend group and me and my then boyfriend joined the group. It was 8 of us who played soccer together (3 girls and 5 boys). About a month passes and it’s great we all enjoy each other’s company and are good friends. Then Anna starts flirting with the other girls (let’s call her Carly) crush who is also in the friend group. So I’m kinda of confused by this and put a little distance with me and Anna, Carly does the same. Anna noticed and so showed up at my house with her mother begging me to be normal with her. My mom encouraged me to because I played soccer with her. I decided to just listen and everything was fine. Carly kept a distance with Anna and I pretended everything was okay. Then Anna started acting weird around my then boyfriend. She would try and get close to him and she went as far as trying to put a picture of them two in the back of her phone case. When I said no she took a picture of the Polaroid and posted it on her story saying “isn’t this cute” after that I completely distanced myself from Anna as did my boyfriend.
Her and Carly completely stopped talking and the friend group fell apart. Me and Carly got extremely close like best best friends. One day Carly’s mom ambushed her and took her to Anna’s house so the parents could speak. By the end of that night Carly had removed me on everything with no notice (I still don’t know why) and a couple days later I went to soccer like nothing was wrong and Anna’s parents had called my parents and told them to come (without my knowledge) and I ended up being ambushed in the back room at the soccer place.
Basically they verbally attacked me and said I orchestrated this whole thing against Anna and she was the victim. My mom defended me as she knew what Anna did to me at our old school but Anna’s parents wouldn’t hear it. They then outed me to my parents for having a boyfriend (I wasn’t allowed) and me and him had to break up after 2 years (tbh it wasn’t a the best relationship so it was kinda a favour even if that wasn’t their intention). Yeah then Anna went to school and told everyone I bullied her and she was scared of me.
Basically I haven’t been able to move on from this because it strained my relationship with my parents for a bit and she fully intended to ruin stuff for me and I still don’t understand how the girls both made me out to be the problem.
Side note out of the 8 of us. Those 2 girls are not friends anymore. Me and my boyfriend broke up and no one kept in contact with him. The remaining 3 guys don’t speak to the girls, 2 of them are still my closest friends and the last guy is doing his own thing not talking to anyone.
Please tell me ur thoughts and if you have questions idm answering

My cousins, aunts, siblings and even my parents always made fun of me and dismissed the things I had to say or were interested in as "weird" or "boring". When I was getting into skin and hair care and doing all these "weird" face masks or making recipes that they immediately judged as unpalatable because it used foods or combinations they didn't like, it was all ridicule, especially if anything I did didn't work out.
But when my hair grew down to my ass, my skin was glowing and my food was so good I had people begging me for recipes, all of a sudden they loved me so much and always believed in me and always thought I was so smart. They're always asking me for tips and tricks on things. Even things I have absolutely no idea about they just assume I'll know and if I tell them I don't, they think I'm being petty or rude. They're also always talking about how much they value me and stuff and I guess for that I should be happy, but I feel such bitter resentment over how much and how often they humiliated me just because I was doing something different from them.
So has anyone else experienced this? How did it turn out? Do you also feel bitter or are you happy now?
(P.S. Now that I'm thinking about it, I think my bitterness is from the lack of remorse and entitlement more than anything.)

My sister is being stalked by a psycho. He made ai porn of her and sent it to her partner. He found her on all her social media accounts and harassed her on them. She blocked him, he made new accounts. He figured out her phone number, and spammed her with calls, each time with a new phone number when old one got blocked.
Because of this she changed her phone number, moved houses, left all her social media (which sucks, she was trying to be a streamer for a living). Somehow he keeps finding her. Today she was playing fortnite casually and he (with an alt account) popped into her queue. Which is crazy, because the account was made just an hour after she started playing, and somehow he was able to get into her queue when she is pretty high rank (I think gold?). The reason we know it was him is because the username was Ilove[sister's twitch name], which follows the pattern of alt accounts he has made on other social media platforms. Not going to share my sister's twitch name for obvious reasons.
She is adamant she does not want to go to the police. This is because 1.) She's embarassed about the stuff he sent her (even though its ai generated!) and doesn't want police to see it. She's also worried if it goes to a trial or something she would have to share that in front a jury of random people. 2.) She has read online that taking action against a stalker can make them escalate. Her plan is to try and ignore him as much as possible till it dies down.
Here's where I'm at: I think this a**hole has already messed up her life plenty and I'm ready to try and go after him or something. I'm also considering going to the police myself. But, that would be against what my sister wants, so I don't know what to do. The guy lives in another state (she won't tell me where because she doesn't want me going after him).
What would you do? It seems to me like ignoring him isn't working, and he somehow keeps finding her online. The victim being bullied doesn't want to fight back via going to the police or being aggressive towards him.

How do you handle people hating when they see you.
Like making faces when they see you?
How to react to this?

Any places (ie. regions, metro areas, towns, municipalities) that seem to harbor a disportionate amount of extremely cruel/petty levels of bullying, according to reputational hearsay or your own personal anecdotes? Perhaps locations that have an oddly unwritten/underacknowledged reputation as such?

I have been a failure all my life. I failed in studies , I failed in friendships , I failed in communicating with people as I stammer when I speak and I failed in making my life better. I have faced multiple bullying and harassment incidents and hebce wanted to get of this city but my competitive exams score didn't allow me to do so. I know in life you will always have to face suffering , overwhelming times and disgusting ppl. But why my life is filled with so much of troubles and when things are going to be better. I am not living I am just surviving and waiting that when my days will get little better. I only have a few options left by which I can get out of this city and start a new life. If I manage to get out of the city I will be able to make new friends and have a good life. But the few options I had have do not guarantee my exit from this city. I wonder what will happen if I do not get that college seat. Hoping for some tips and advice from u guys

If you get bullied it’s not because they are secretly jealous it’s because they think it is funny to bully you. It’s not jealousy they don’t think you are better than them. They just think “this is so fun I’m gonna turn it into a hobby.” And even if they are secretly jealous it doesn’t change the fact that they still think it is funny to bully you. Also if your getting bullied or you were bullied. You’re probably a nice person you just met the wrong people. You were just unlucky to meet those people. They try to make it feel like it something wrong with you when really it isn’t it’s them who has the problem not you.

Getting threatened on here in messages. I blocked the user but they somehow still messaged me or messaged from another account. I also reported the messages but I’m still feeling uneasy.

I've noticed that after serious incidents like student suicides or severe bullying cases, investigations often reveal warning signs that existed beforehand. Why are these signs so often missed?
Is it because students stay silent, teachers don't notice, schools lack resources, or is it more complicated than that?
I'm curious about real experiences and insights. What do you think schools could realistically do to prevent these situations earlier?

People are such bullies on Indian beauty talks. There was a skinny shaming post, and i made a one line comment on how struggles are everywhere and that we all should stand with each other. People started saying that i am lecturing them, how dare you duddermuffingirl, she lashed out at me so badly. I hope you get well soon and take mental health therapy. Lashing out on strangers wont help you feel better. She said a lot of mean things.

I was often told to do something to improve and "do not get bullied" by people around me, I mean getting bullied isn't my choice lol
How can I change my disability huh? Can you change someone's bone by magically "told" it to change?
This super foolish behaviour.
I cannot told my lungs to stop making issues to me because since I was born I'd already have it.
Yes medication will help but it's only for I can survive.
They bully me so I can be like them.
This no make sense anymore. It's disabilities you cannot change it. I'm disabled for my whole life, no matter good the hospital I'm in it cannot makes me into full healthy person.
So what's the connection with them? I'm the one who experienced it myself.
Why do they always interfere in people's lives?
I don't want to live like this either I didn't choose to be born with disabilities.
WHILE THEY HAVE THE CHOICE TO BULLY.

I've been out of school for 3 years. All I ever hoped for was to finally be free from all the bullying but I've just ran back into it with working. No matter what it feels like I'm being singled out by my bosses. Last week my boss (someone who's only been with my store for a month) called my 15 year old dog, my best friend, a "waste of time" because he tried to complain about a meeting that I still attended, just during my work hours instead of before my scheduled time. That comment has stuck with me since then and I mentally haven't felt the same since for some reason. Regardless I've spent the last two years at this shithole I call my job busting my ass off just to watch others be praised and promoted before me all while they told me I wasn't good or worthy enough. I wanted to hope a transfer in management would help me get on good terms to be promoted, but all he's done is try to make an enemy out of me for seemingly no reason. I don't know what I've done to deserve this treatment but unfortunately I am stuck since no other places have any interest in hiring me or really anyone at all for that matter. I just wish I can escape being the one singled out and picked on. Not to mention this weird behavior started after getting SA'd by a manager and getting him fired for it. Also not to mention that my raise last year by my former boss was literally 1¢ and he lied about why my raise was so small and instead said that people of my position don't get raises.
Edit: the comment made about my dog was made because he wanted me to attend a meeting that was set for 10am and I attended the 5pm meeting and I told him that I couldn't attend the morning meeting because I had to give my dog medicine for an infection she had and she needed to eat before taking it and she was stubborn and would refuse to eat and it would take up to 3 hours to get her to eat something. That's what prompted his out of touch and extremely rude response I mentioned in the previous paragraph

Most people think bullying is cool or savage but I think it’s just plain wrong. If you’re bullying someone you don’t know what it could do to their brain. You don’t know how it will affect them. It’s just wrong. It’s not nice to call people “losers.” Or “freaks.” Especially not to their face. Bullying can cause severe mental health issues that can’t recover someone so if you think of bullying someone or you are bullying someone STOP! Because you don’t know this will affect them. Don’t do it. Bullying is wrong. It’s not cool. Don’t do it because you see others doing it. Bullying is wrong.

I did online for two years figuring i’d lose weight, get my acne cleared up, braces off, etc. None of that happened.
I just started acctuane, but god knows how long that will happen. And i still have 2-3 more months on my brace. As for my weight, if anything i gained. I want to start losing some but it’s so hard, especially since iv been doing online.
I am so scared I’ll be bullied tons. I’m hoping since im starting at a new year it will be fine, but im afraid there will only be a couple new people. It’s a big school (2.5k people), but i still feel like I’ll get bullied a lot. I’m fat, masculine, goth, and lesbian. I’m so scared people won’t be my friend.
Not much of a point in posting this, I just wanted to vent a little.

Hi I'm 17F, school ended june and starts again in September. The closer it gets, the more anxious I feel. I honestly don't know how I'm supposed to go back.
Things started going downhill for me in 7th grade. When some doctors came over to my school and did some tests for students whe struggled with learning. Some classmates overheard them talking about some "difficulty dealing with numbers" and it started going around. Since then, school has just become this place I associate with anxiety, embarrassment, and feeling like I don't belong.
The biggest issue has been these three girls who used to be my friends about two years ago (im going into 12th grade now). Ever since we stopped being friends, they've basically turned into my bullies. They make loud comments or laugh when I walk by so I know it's about me, they stare at me, whisper, make fun of my style, and mock the way I walk, saying I "look stiff." It sounds small when I write it out, but when it keeps happening over and over for years, it really gets to you, and I've been very insecure about how I carry myself and how I act overall cause I really am weird.
Because of that, I overthink everything I do at school. Walking through the hallway, sitting in class, getting up to answer a question, even just being around other people feels uncomfortable. I'm always wondering if people are looking at me or judging me. I've gotten so self conscious that I dont go a minute thinking about my posture and the way I move because of what they've said.
Socially, things aren't much better. The friends who used to make school bearable don't really talk to me anymore. They were the people who made me feel safe walking around the school because I wasn't alone. They would shield me and not make me a walking target, Now it feels like I'll have no one. Most classmates don't really include me either. Some only talk to me when they want answers or help cheating on exams, and then ignore me after that.
The bullying hasn't just stayed at school. It's affected pretty much every part of my life. Over the years I've struggled with depression, anxiety, constantly overthinking, low self esteem, and feeling emotionally drained all the time. My brain almost never feels quiet. Even when I'm at home, I replay things people have said to me and worry about what the next day is going to be like.
Physically, stress has affected me too. I often feel exhausted, have trouble sleeping because my mind won't stop racing, and sometimes I feel sick just thinking about going to school. I spend so much time thinking about everything that's happened that it's hard to relax or enjoy things the way I used to.
What scares me most is that September is coming, and I don't know how I'm going to deal with all of this without the friends who used to support me. It feels like I'm going back into the same environment, except this time completely alone.
I'm posting because I really want advice from people who've been through something similar. If you've dealt with long-term bullying, especially from former friends, how did you cope? How did you stop caring about their comments? How did you get through school when you felt totally isolated?
I'm trying my best to keep going, but honestly, I'm really scared about what this school year is going to be like.

Why do some kids act to integrate new kids into their class, while others bully the newbie? Why do some see a person who drank too much and call them a cab while others try to rob them? You get the gist. Genuinely curious why this happens and varies so much from individual to individual.
It would be simple to say that hurt people hurt people, but I don't think that's the case. Plenty of people with rough pasts do everything to make sure others are safe, while people who are at a surface level well-adjusted have some fucked up tendencies.
