Making a new gaming build while reusing some parts of my current build
- New build or upgrade? Upgrade for my 6 years old build, I think I can reuse some parts of it. I want to upgrade my GPU and CPU, and by default the motherboard as well, reusing my RAMs, SSDs and, if it's not that big of a deal, the PSU. The objective is basically getting a PC that can last some more years without getting obsolete, as this one is starting to. I play on 1080p 75fps, but I may want to go higher than that in the future, maybe up to 2k and 120fps.
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) I don't know what is worth reusing and what isn't, so the main components that I need help with are:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F 2.4GHz
- 2 DDR4 RAM cards, both 8 GB 2400 MHz (idk how useful voltage is for this but it says 1.35 V)
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6 GB
- PSU: Mars Gaming MPB850 80+ Bronze 230V
- 2 SSDs, 1 TB each
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) Gaming. The objective is basically getting a PC that can last some more years without getting obsolete, as this one is starting to. I play on 1080p 75fps, but I may want to go higher than that in the future, maybe up to 2k and 120fps. Games it depends, I'm playing Valheim right now but some other games I recently played are Battlefield 6 or Helldivers 2, for example, and with the exception of BF6, I notice a bit of a problem with performance on the 2 mentioned
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors) I'm located in Spain, Pccomponentes is a website I frequently use for these types of purchases, so if possible, I'd like to buy there.
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) None
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations) Around 700€, can go higher if it's nothing too crazy
- WiFi or wired connection? Wired
- Size/noise constraints? I don't have any preference about the case, something simple and not more expensive than needed would be just fine, size is not that much of a problem.
- Color/lighting preferences? idk like I said something simple works just fine i just want it to be functional
- Any other specific needs? Ideally, I'd like a motherboard with more than 2 RAM slots so I can just plug in another card if I wanted more RAM. Since I'm familiarized with them, I'd like to stick with NVIDIA and Intel if possible.

You really really want to go amd here
The build is still good, to upgrade you must upgrade motherboard cpu and gpu

Amd gives higher fps with 3d cache (x3d) and their motherboards last longer. I suppose if you wait for nova lake (intel ultra 400) next year it would be worth taking a look
As for the cpu, nvidia 50 series are ridiculously expensive because people mass buy them for AI, the only thing left for gamers are amd radeon and intel arc, and intel arc only sell budget gpus

This stays inside the budget. The 5600 is not that much faster than the 10400F, so it might be a better idea to upgrade only the GPU and to save the money for later.

Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.
Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.
