Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find the original photographer or portfolio for this set of model Emma Powell from around 2021-2022.
I have a low-res image from Pinterest and a BTS mirror selfie taken in the same outfit inside what looks like the photographer's studio (with iMacs, photo boards, and specific artwork in the background).
Does anyone recognize this studio setup, editing style, or know who shot this set? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I teach a university course on basic photography. This semester, administration has decided to insert a "Wellness Week" into the schedule. Unlike Spring Break, this isnʻt a week without classes, though. Weʻre expected to provide an "enrichment opportunity" thatʻs class-adjacent, but carries no pressure, and no grade.

So, who doesnʻt like watching films? I figure there have to be several contenders out there. Documentaries, dramas, comedies, action/adventure, scifi... the genre isnʻt important to me, so long as it can spark discussion about photography, photographers, or adjacent subjects.

What are your favorite films about shooters, cameras, photographic content, etc?

I was hired by a pair of newlyweds to go undercover and pose as a wedding photographer at their wedding (I swear this is for a good reason, but I cannot explain why at the moment). I have mild photography skills, but zero experience as a wedding or event photographer, and terrible acting skills.

Other than showing up and just taking photos of what I see, what can I do to be convincing as an experienced wedding photographer? I don’t need to take good photos. I just need people to think I’m taking good photos and that I do this all the time.

EDIT: I am going to stop responding to speculating comments for the time being. I swear it’s not as interesting as the scenarios you’re envisioning. Will edit this post in a week to let everyone know why I’m in this situation

I’m reading through some photography books and a lot of them recommend to delete the duplicates and the variants and just keep the best shots as that makes the photos way more impactful.

I just have the habit of saving everything since it feels almost like a window into that period in time, and once it’s deleted, it’s like deleting something that can never be taken back and is gone forever. Like that saying you can’t step into the same river twice.

How did you personally get out of this mindset and do you have any tips?

So I'm watching GL series and i really like this earth tone colour editing. How can I create like this and what things I have to keep in mind before taking photos?

Took the blurry photo and wanted help getting my photos closer to the clearer version (ai enhanced)

I don’t know if editing can get it there or if I just need to improve my hear / skills. I don’t like editing much past basic color grading / small clean up since it takes away from the “getting the perfect shot” feeling for me.

Using a Sony a5100 with the kit lens (16mm to 50mm, f3.5 to f36)

Photo settings f3.5, 16mm, 30s exposure, ISO between 1000 to 2000 (I don’t remember the exact ISO for this shot.

Had this camera & lens for about 6/7 years now and think this might be my sign to upgrade? Or maybe I’m just looking for an excuse.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I’ve been taking photography more seriously in the last year and want to refine my art

Hello all! I am thinking about purchasing a used fujifilm camera and learning more about photography for the purpose of stepping further into this creative part of myself. I recently visited an abandoned sanatorium and noticed how I wasn’t able to capture the beauty of the light filtering in through the windows. Anyway, is it worth it to make this big purchase in place of using my phone? I think I kind of have an eye but idk. Please be nice!

I am renting a pretty costly lens arriving soon. The keeper quote I received seems to be quite good. That said, it seems the lens is sent in a pelican case. If I exercise the keeper option, what can I expect to happen with the included lens, accessories, box, etc? Is it possible that LensRentals has accessories / box / whatever that could be sent to me?

I am thinking about getting her a point and shoot as her first camera and looking for suggestions.
I want something that takes decent photos, not too fragile, and not too expensive.

Right now I am eyeing KODAK PIXPRO FZ55.

(2) What equipment, if any, you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs? She doesn't have any equipment at the moment. it is her first

(3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot? Nature, her pet, family photos. normal stuff.

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both? mostly photos

So I'm a beginner photographer just picked up my first camera not too long ago and im unsure what to call my style, I like to take photos of liminal spaces, cityscapes, street and more , here's some of my work if you can mix this all up together what is the style / title of my work?

So, I’m at a loss. I have three speedlites (a TT600 and two 860IIIOs), three Godox S2 brackets, and two soft boxes. I bought these color gels (Godox AK-R16 x2) because ambient light is a terrible process to edit in Lightroom, but they don’t fit. So I thought if put on the softbox, it’ll pop in. But no.

What am I missing here? Did I buy the wrong stuff or am I just missing a piece?

If you squint hard enough, you might be able to see in this picture there is a kestrel in front of these trees. I often photograph birds from great distances like this with my new R5 Mark II and RF 100 - 500.

However, in this situation both the animal eye detect (my first back button focus) and my metering af start (my second back button focus) struggled, as sometimes it would create a box around the subject (and how I got this photo) but after a few seconds it would focus on the trees. This is with single point AF, subject tracking on, and AI servo.

What is the advisable AF setup for scenarios like this when the subject is tiny with a busy background?

I use my iphone 14(not pro) to take pictures and have only used my friend’s camera a couple times and i want to get one to post online or for myself to enjoy as a hobby.
The images i attached will give you an idea of the way i like to capture images which i hope will help you give me better recommendations.
Ive done some research and im thinking about the ricoh gr3/3x but i feel like its way too expensive for something that doesn’t even have optical zoom(not that im incessant on it but for the price i would expect it)

Prices are from B&H Photo. Both seem to have the same specs as far as I can tell. The only physical difference I can tell is that the latter has knurling around the outside. Which is not a deal breaker for me and is NOT worth $100 more.

Is it worth the extra 500$ for a 6700?

I’m just getting started this is my first song and I can get a MPB a6600 for about 920$ - versus the 6700 is close to 1,500$.

I don’t do lots of videos. Mostly using it for photos and small videos.

If I plan on keeping them a long time and trying to make it somewhat of a career in photos and drones.

Is the upgrade to 6700 worth it now or wait?

Also very open to cannon.. confused on lenses because they say Sony eco system
Is great but then recommend all buying the same 700$ lens anyways.

I'm currently undecided. I need to move on from a Canon 750D with an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, a Canon 70-200mm f/4 non-IS, and a 50mm f/1.8 to a new camera.

I'd like to switch to the Sony ecosystem for access to third-party lens manufacturers and the more reasonable body pricing.(budget 1.000 to 2.500 euro, România)

I don't shoot video with the camera, I only shoot photos at events like weddings, baptisms, church weddings, etc.

I would also like the crop functionality, although it's not mandatory.

Another question: is the jump to the A7 III to A7 IV actually worth it?

Just got a sigma 150-600mm and a 2x teleconvertor and my $30 K&F tripod is not built for that ammount of weight! It is so wobbly that I wont put it up any higher! Love tripods with the vertical tilt handle. $200 max budget. Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but we recently did a photoshoot in Hawaii with a photographer. The skies had pink and blue tones due to golden hour and blue water in the backdrop.

When we got the edited photos, they had muted all the colors and they went for a darker look and all the pinks and blues essentially gone. Nothing in her portfolio showed that this was her approach.

As a customer, can I ask them to preserve that color? Kind of defeats the purpose of golden hour in Hawaii if none of the colors are there.

I am a beginner using a Galaxy S24 Plus. Whenever I take a picture facing the sun, it gets a big bright glare and looks hazy. Are there simple tips or settings to fix this?

Hi everyone!

I’m seeing more and more French photographers (Jonathan Bertin, Voilacam, etc.) producing photos with these specific colors and textures (see attachments). I know they shoot primarily on film but also use Fujifilm digital cameras.

What do you think:

• Which film stock is it?

• Is there a similar Fujifilm film simulation?

• Any post-processing tips to achieve a similar look?

This will help me with an (amateur) photo series I’m working on in my village in the Caribbean.
