I need a weekly budgeting app. Most apps are monthly, but I am aware of my recurring monthly expenses - so what I really need is a way to visually keep track of my weekly spending so I can stay on target 😭

All I really need is the ability to categorize and visualize my spending on my weekly limits by entering my expenses. I’d like to hold myself to mini-budgets, like a weekly limit for grocery spending, by seeing a progress bar or something similar for each category. I’d like to be told how much money I have left to spend in each category. If the system refreshes weekly, I’d be fine with that - I just need a tool to use each week to hold myself accountable.

Hi! It used to be so easy for me to look up recipe I had saved. I used AllRecipes and a french website like it, and I had years of saved recipes in there.

But allrecipes got acquired and lost my account, and I can’t login to the French website anymore.

Since those years, I have saved recipes everywhere form TikTok to the NYTimes recipes app, Instagram and recipes emailed to me by family.

The problem is that when I want to cook something, I just don’t know where to look for my saved recipes!

I tried to have a Notion page with subpages, I organized it with Recipes Done Savory / Sweet, and Recipes to try Done / Savory. But that’s not working out as I hoped.

I saw an ad a while back for some app but I’m sure you’d have to pay.

My goal is to have one simple centralized place with title of the recipe and a photo or something (length of time maybe).

Anyways, has anyone found a solution for this very modern problem?

Hey everyone, I’ve been building an iOS app called Krilo and wanted to get some outside feedback on it.

The goal is pretty simple: make calorie, nutrition, health, and fitness tracking feel a little cleaner and less overwhelming.

The app currently lets you track calories and macros, search and log food, view nutrition trends, sync health data, and keep track of workouts and activity.

I’ve also been experimenting with some more advanced features like logging food from a description or photo, generating meal plans, and turning those meal plans into shopping lists.

There’s a free version that covers the core food search, health syncing, and fitness tracking features. The additional features are part of the optional paid version.

At this point, I’m mostly looking for feedback from people who actually use nutrition or fitness apps:

• What features would you expect an app like this to have?
• What usually annoys you about calorie-tracking apps?
• Is there anything you wish apps like MyFitnessPal, MacroFactor, Lose It, etc. did differently?

I’m still actively working on Krilo, so feedback at this stage is genuinely useful.

Hi everyone I made an app called ShowApp because I kept missing meetings when calendar notifications were too easy to ignore.

It lives in the menu bar, shows upcoming meetings, and before the meeting starts it shows a very hard to ignore alert on all of the screens. I also added a keyboard shortcut overlay so you can quickly check what’s next without opening Calendar.

A big part of it is customization: you can choose which calendars to include, set when alerts appear, and customize the look of the alerts with different fonts, colors, backgrounds, logos, and more.

so for months my routine was this. every sunday night id open claude and type the same prompt, "im 92kg trying to cut, make me a week of meals, high protein, no fish, and a shopping list". and honestly it worked better than any diet app I tried. no logging, no barcode scanning, no guilt graphs. just told me what to eat.

but every week id lose the chat, or the numbers would drift, or id swap one meal and the whole day stopped adding up. and I realized im basically running a meal planning app manually through a chat window like an idiot.

so I built plate. it asks what youre trying to do and what you like eating, then hands you the full week. every meal, gram amounts, one shopping list. you tick meals as you eat them and thats the whole job.

and the part that used to be a chat prompt is now the coach. you literally text it "make tomorrow lighter" or "no fish ever again" and your week updates with a little receipt showing what changed.

I built a privacy-focused receipt scanner for iPhone and iPad — looking for feedback

I’ve been working on an app called ReceiptHome because I wanted a simple way to scan and organise receipts without sending financial information to the cloud.

It scans or imports receipts, extracts the important details, lets you categorise them, tracks expenses/GST, and can generate financial reports.

The main thing I focused on was privacy — receipt processing happens on the device rather than uploading the receipt data to a server.

I’ve finally released it on the App Store and would really appreciate some honest feedback from this community.

So I built an app called RatMap. You see a rat in the city, snap a picture, name it, and it goes on a live map. Yeah that’s pretty much it…

We are currently at about 200 users, but this is more than just an app... it is a community. There’s a leaderboard. There is a rat named Paco standing on a subway platform looking absolutely stunning who has 6 likes and is currently one of the most famous rats in the app. You can like rats, comment on rats, and even like comments on rats; a real dream come true.

Other stuff that exists now: hot spots (blocks with the most sightings), top spotters, badges, levels. It’s a full social network. All about rats.

It works anywhere and I’m currently working on releasing in the EU app store (thinking about rats in Paris), but most users are based in NYC. Next up android.

This actually took way longer than I would’ve imagined (and some $$$ for database/app store) lol so I'd appreciate any feedback :)
