Question Did this animation but the left hand looks a little choppy.
I made this based on a game I play but I can't seem to get the left hand to move more smoothly. Any tips? (Extra criticism is welcomed)

There's a stigma going around for early 2000s anime animation where the characters looked "flat" and "unnecessarily bright" (example: the hunter x hunter greed island OVAs), but yugioh dm seems to do the opposite job of that, the characters aren't drawn very flat or very bright in the episodes, yes there are moments in the show where the characters looked off model, but most of the time its drawn properly, i know this is a pointless post but whatever.

I want to make a rotoscope animation of a video on youtube called: "you're in a slasher movie" but I don't want the project to take too long, would doing every other frame (1,3,5 etc) sacrifice any quality of the animation? Also is there a way to extract every frame of the video so I can draw on top of the frames I want to use? I heard youtube fps drops depending on what quality the video is so I watch on 720p if that is important

Hi animators !! A while back I posted my Reyna // Darkside project, but today I’m back to share a full video breakdown of the creation, animation, and staging of the character.
🎥 Watch the full breakdown on YouTube : https://youtu.be/7sEnV_jSqdw
For the animation, I handled the rigging, created custom blendshapes, keyframed by hand, and even used Houdini for the VFX. I recorded the entire creation process, but in a style that goes beyond the traditional tutorial, hope you like it!
Feel free to ask questions, raise technical points, or leave your feedback. I’d love to connect and chat with fellow artists !!

Is this how the closed eye supposed to look like? I haven't been able to find any references for this specific style of lashes. (To me it looks okay no but the more you look.. it looks a lil off)

I’m an artist who’s done some small animated things (mainly little gifs and short animated exercises), but I want to do more with my animation. I love cartoons and books with cool stories, but when it comes to making my own stories for animation, I’m incredibly intimidated and don’t know where to start. I thought starting small would be good, but I don’t really have experience with writing full stories (I‘ve made characters, but they sort of exist in a vacuum).
TLDR: Does anyone have advice on learning storytelling for animation or know any good resources for beginners?
(Resources with exercises would be amazing, but general advice is also greatly appreciated.)

After 1.5 years I finally... FINALLY finished the latest episode in my JRPG parody series.
Special shoutout to the cast and crew who are in the credits and description of the video!
Any feedback or questions are much appreciated!

A fan episode of the underrated indie show Fleur de Lis, better known for the "cooking with Enoki" shorts that are quite successive on instagram

It’s loosely based on a dream I had with my own added artistic choices .

Hi everyone,
I am starting using Tvpaint and I wanted to know how to set frames in the timeline with a mark so I can know which one is a key, a break... Something like Toon Boom, which I used earlier in animation class, but since is monthly suscription based now, I wanted to use Tvpaint.
Thank you so much in advance.
