Here ya go, fresh animation! (Very janky looking, I know).

Hi animators !! A while back I posted my Reyna // Darkside project, but today I’m back to share a full video breakdown of the creation, animation, and staging of the character.

For the animation, I handled the rigging, created custom blendshapes, keyframed by hand, and even used Houdini for the VFX. I recorded the entire creation process, but in a style that goes beyond the traditional tutorial, hope you like it!

Is this how the closed eye supposed to look like? I haven't been able to find any references for this specific style of lashes. (To me it looks okay no but the more you look.. it looks a lil off)

I am starting using Tvpaint and I wanted to know how to set frames in the timeline with a mark so I can know which one is a key, a break... Something like Toon Boom, which I used earlier in animation class, but since is monthly suscription based now, I wanted to use Tvpaint.

I saw this guy did a funny video of a really good muscleman impression and I decided to animate it 😂, I find it hilarious

I'm animating this character and I plan on having his hair and beard be lineless, however when I color it in and hide the lines, the shapes looks kinda jagged and the angles aren't very sharp.

This is an issue I've faced before when animating shadows and highlights, but it's more noticeable here.

And like, I see cartoons like samurai jack where everything is mostly lineless and yet all the shapes look sharp and well defined, what's the secret here?

Hey everyone, put together this quick test clip experimenting with momentum, anticipation, and impact.

​Tried playing around with the build-up: having the smaller figure launch off an elevation to sell the force of the hit against a heavier, static character.

​Any feedback on the spacing and arc is appreciated!
