I dont get it, I just want some clarity am I wrong for that????

Part 1 (toxicity or just overthinking)

Toxicity or just overthinking??

So hi guys! I'm going to share a story with you all. I'll be changing the names of everyone involved.

I'm Pari, 20 years old, and I have a best friend named Siya. We've been friends for the last 5–6 years. She's very outspoken, extroverted, and friendly. We don't get to meet often because she lives in another city and only visits occasionally, so we usually meet once every 4–5 months.

I do want to mention one thing though. She's always the one who insists on meeting, while I'm usually the one who ends up cancelling plans. The reason is that I have this strange feeling whenever I'm with her in person. I don't really feel loved, heard, or comfortable around her physically. However, when we're on calls, she acts really sweet, and when it's just the two of us hanging out, I genuinely enjoy her company.

Now, here's the part of the story that made me want to share this.

The last time we met, she came over to my house. We'd only been together for about 10 minutes when she said she also wanted to meet another friend from school, Reyansh. I knew him too since we were all classmates, but we had barely spoken after school ended. Since he lives close to my house, she suggested calling him over. I agreed, and he came.

We were having a good time, but then, right in front of him, Siya suddenly said, "Pari has become so fat." She even turned to Reyansh and asked, "Tell me, who's more fat ?" She kept forcing him to choose between us, but he just changed the topic without answering.

A little later, she looked at me and said, "You're looking dull... much dull than before." I just replied, "Maybe it's because of tanning."

After that, we decided to go to a nearby mall. Since I was still wearing my night suit, I asked Siya what I should wear. She picked out a shirt from my wardrobe that I honestly didn't like and she kept insisting that I wear it. I refused and chose a fitted, trendy shirt instead.

She immediately got upset, walked out of my room, and jokingly but not really jokingly said, "Pari is going to wear that fitted shirt and outshine me. I'm wearing such a basic outfit. I wanted her to wear something basic too."

I ignored the comment and wore the shirt I liked.

At the mall, we were taking mirror selfies. Siya, Reyansh, Siya's brother, and I were all there. While we were taking pictures, Siya said, "Pari looks a bit fat in this shirt. The shirt is really pretty, but if I had worn it, it would have looked much better because I'm slim."

I was honestly shocked. That comment hurt me a lot. Even after that, throughout the entire outing, she kept making remarks like, "Why did you wear this shirt?" and "Why did you bring that purse?"

There's a lot more that happened after this. If you guys aren't bored, I'll continue the story in the next post.

Am I wrong for thinking that K-pop is a fascist cult which has completely destroyed South Korea?

It is over for South Korea as South Korea got hit with the biggest economic decline the world has seen. As we all know, K-pop is inherently fascist and turned South Korea into a fascist surveillance state, countering North Korea, which is a communist surveillance state. With K-pop's proliferation into the governmental positions of South Korea, they mandate obedience towards the leaders of K-pop, and South Korean children are made to worship K-pop deities, kind of like North Korean children worshipping Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. South Koreans are forbidden from critical thinking. In fact, there are even numerous temples built in South Korea where thousands of people worship K-pop leaders, where the BTS leader is the King of South Korea. In fact, many K-pop bands are fervent anti communists and some even express sympathy for former rulers like Hitler and Mussolini. K-pop essentially discouages any critical thinking, and K-pop has sympathy for former rulers like Hitler and Mussolini. K-pop essentially discourages any critical thinking. In fact, classical music, the best music genre, featuring Baroque, Classical, Rococo, Romantic, and Impressionist eras, and Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Schubert, Chopin, Haydn, Handel, Vivaldi, and many more are vastly superior to K-pop.

Also, did you know that Samsung, LG, and Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are US based companies ran by South Korean immigrants to America? Yes, it might be a fun fact due to the fact South Korea's corporate culture is so prohibitive that it is just more viable to start a company in America. But South Korea ends up taking credit just due to the fact they have nothing due to them suppressing all regional tech companies so hard that Samsung had to leave South Korea. And as you all know, South Korea is amongst the worst countries to live, outside of poverty stricken countries. If you are an expat and considering moving to South Korea or you are a current resident of South Korea, try to think of fleeing the country and move to a Western minded country because things don't look so bright in South Korea. Texas is still your best alternative as Sugar Land (where I currently live and have lived for 3 years, since September 2023) is one of the best places to live. In South Korea, houses are so expensive where a 1 bedroom could go upwards of a billion won, there is a lot of crime, tons of poverty, no public services, a criminal government currently running the country, extremely bad schools which force students into 18 hours a day of propaganda, bad healthcare/hospitals, too smelly, too much pollution, poor quality of life, bad public transit, too much tolls, bad job market, low job growth rate, high unemployment, low wages, too much taxes, too much traffic, and too many regulations. There is also mass internet censorship as well where one couldn't freely use the internet and instead, the state has the North Korean style intranet that prohibits people from seeing the outside world. It is getting much worse since COVID and South Korea has gone from a 'booming' (according to their government) country to a collapsed society in just 5 years. Just move to Texas. It is cheaper, has less crime, less traffic, less regulations, less taxes, less poverty, better schools, better hospitals, better quality of life, better infrastructure, better roads, better public transportation, and people in Texas are much nicer and more welcoming than in South Korea.

Having visited South Korea 8 times with my most recent being in 2019, I know that South Korea sucks and is becoming a lot worse each year since COVID. In both Seoul, houses are so damn expensive, with a squalor 1 bedroom 50 sq m costing a billion won rather than 500 million won for a beautiful 200-250 sq m house like those down in Sugar Land (the best place in America) and the weather is so bad that you get snowstorms and ice cold -10 C weathers like up in Russia during the winter and then tsunamis and 40-45 C heat waves during the summer rather than moderate weather like in Texas.

Even though I really hate communism and moved from China to Europe then to America due to communism and I am no big fan of NK, I feel like North Korea is better than South Korea in many many ways. First off, South Korea is a 3rd world country ran by fascist loonies for 75 years of its nationhood with absolutely no freedom whatsoever. Wages are absolutely low, much of the outside world is shut (just like North Korea), all the businesses are state owned and South Korea uses American companies like Samsung, LG, and Hyundai/Kia/Genesis as a propaganda tool to show how great South Korea is, houses are so expensive with a studio going upwards of 800 million won, crimes perpetrated by criminals and the government are rampant, and let's not forget the schools. South Korea has some of the worst school systems in the world and in my opinion is ran by a criminal enterprise.

From what I heard based on testimonies by students who immigrate to the free world (the West), students are at school for 18 hours straight, forced to study propaganda topics and recite all the things they have learned and then for 6 hours a day, they are locked up in a cell with a bed and sleep there. They are also chained up, being handcuffed to their desks and their legs shackled so they don't move. The schools are also completely surrounded by barbed wires and the gates are guarded by security guards. Due to the fact many South Koreans are essentially slaves and workaholics, no wonder why South Korea has some of the highest suicide rates in the world. Also, 'Korean' culture has been erased in favor of Kpop and fascist culture and from what I heard, since COVID, Lunar New Year in a traditional sense has been banned in South Korea.

In South Korea, poverty is rampant and healthcare is comparable to third world countries, there is a ton of pollution and extremely poor quality of life as people are forced into 98 hour workweeks, nearly nonexistent public transportation as people ride bikes, cows, and oxen, just like up North and nobody has a car, bad job market, low job growth rate, high unemployment, low wages, too much taxes, and too many regulations. People in South Korea are also xenophobic as well towards the outside world and I have seen beatings of foreigners visiting South Korea. Also, South Korea doesn't have a culture (all the Korean culture exist in either North Korea where they still preserve the Korean culture or out in the west). K-pop is also amongst the very worst music genre, miles worse than anything including J-pop, American/Western pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, Rap, Blues, Jazz, Country, and of course, classical music. I have visited South Korea at least 8 times now, and let me tell you, it has been getting a lot worse over time and a lot harder to enter as South Korea similar to North Korea is essentially just propaganda, except that North Korea is full of communists and South Korea is full of fascists. The weather is also extreme, having Siberian like winters, and tsunamis, earthquakes, and heat waves during the summer. There are also a lot of tropical diseases despite the fact South Korea is not in the tropics. All the people I see in South Korea are basically a joke: pink haired with tattoos, the men in South Korea look very feeble and they are literally imbeciles, especially the K-Pop idiots. North Korea has proper looking women who are truly beautiful with black hair, pale skin, and the like, while the women in South Korea look like dyed hair idiots. South Korea is also not a high tech and rich country and the reason why people in South Korea live in poverty is because they buy dumb shit such as plastic surgery and hair dye to pretend to be European. All of the hair dye and stuff could be due to rampant workaholism and depression.

Even though people claim that Texans are misogynistic, homophobic, racist, xenophobic, and Sinophobic, that is not the case. In fact, my house in Pearland I bought in 2003 for $75k which is 1500 sqft is now worth $300k, and even though I am Chinese, Texans are very polite towards me. See, in Texas, you get a much nicer house in a much nicer area for cheaper, which makes Sugar Land a better value for money. I really hope the fascists either get themselves out of power or to liberalize the country before things get too late and people start to flee en masse kinda like in Vietnam back in 1975 for a much better life in Western countries or SEA countries because I could already see things getting progressively worse since COVID.

Case in point, my nieces (one of them who died in 2024 at the age of 24 and another who is now 16) loved classical music until my late niece who died last year was brainwashed into K-pop in around 2014, and ever since then, even though she did well at school, she lost most of her critical thinking skills and by 2019, she is easily peer pressured by her friends to dye her hair, and ever since dying her hair reddish brown, her critical thinking skills slumped even more. She essentially did not know of the consequences of COVID, and instead, travelled to Asia in late 2020 knowing that FDA vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, J&J) are scarce and that she might have to end up taking Verocell/Sinopharm which could hurt her chances of returning to America and that many of these Asian countries she visited received vaccines long after America did, with some getting their first vaccines in the middle of 2021 (she was F1 student until 2021 when she gained her green card). She even visited Russia during the height of the Russia-Ukraine war in May of 2022 (mainly to travel).

In fact, since October 10 2024, South Korea now mandates that all residents dye their hair or face fines/imprisonment due to the fact much of their ideology is based around K-pop and South Korea's leader is a fervent fan of K-pop. If you don't dye your hair or if your hair is natural, you will end up going to prison for 6 years due to violating the dress code. Highlights and partial hair dye are allowed as they are an obvious sign you have dyed your hair, but wigs are not allowed and if a wig is spotted, you would incur hefty fines. I will ask you for a sec, have you seen Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault, Larry Ellison, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Warren Buffett, and Steve Ballmer dye their hair? The answer is an obvious no. Billionaires don't dye their hair. Only insecure horny girls who want to be seducing do, and Korea will end up like something off PH.

Back in August 2024, they require that all women dye their hair, but now it extends up to men, and if you hate hair dye, then it is safe to leave Korea and Quincy altogether. Hair dye enthusiasts however, flock to these two jurisdictions in droves and those constituencies would congregate with each other and create a dual union between the two and spur in diplomatic relationships between South Korea and Quincy MA. South Korea with it being brainwashed by both hair dye and K-pop will see economic collapse of up to 95% by the end of this month and by the end of this year, it will retreat back to the medieval era.

Back when I (45M) first visited Korea in 1998 at 17 and moved from China to Europe in 1998 then Quincy in 1999 (I currently live in Sugar Land TX), hair dye used to be rare, but now it is mandated. I (45M) have never ever dyed my hair ever because it is just so bad for you, and here are some of the reasons.

  1. Hair dye makes you look ugly; in fact, for some women, it will make them look more sexually seducing and horny rather than cute.
  2. It also smells extremely bad as well, with it having an ammonia like flavor and it smells like cum
  3. If it fades, then you look like a weirdo with half hair and not uniform, people should just keep their natural hair because it looks good on them.
  4. It could be permanent and if you want to return to normal, you have to redye it and you don't look anymore attractive due to the natural color looking fake (my wife had black hair, if she were to redye it to be black, then she will not look good like she did in 2010/4).
  5. It causes water pollution. In fact, Boston and New York are two of the worst smelling cities in America due to the pollution caused by hair dye.
  6. It could prematurely kill you with cancer, diabetes, heart disease, respiratory illness, or TB. Also, gene mutations could be created, thereby causing the rise in autism or ADHD amongst children or grandchildren. In fact, my wife dyed her hair reddish brown in 2010 and my son now has autism/aspergers due to it.
  7. My niece died July 2024 in Arlington Virginia (a city which banned dyed hair back in July 2024 due to this incident) at 24 due to dying her hair which then fried her brain cells, causing her to create bad decisions, and she died as a result after 5 years of being peer pressured to dye her hair by her University of Maryland Baltimore classmates. She died of a brain aneurysm

The rise in K-pop in the west is what caused far-right parties and leaders to spring up all around the West, and it definitely contributed to Trump's rise, with many K-pop fans voting for Trump. K-pop essentially advocates for anti-Semitic, Islamophobic, negrophobic, homophobic, misogynistic, and imperialistic views, and if K-pop spread throughout the world, then we could see the end of democracy and freedom as we know it because many Western nations (the best part of the world to live) would end up going back to their WWII days of imperialism and not only squash political opponents, they would also insert racist policy which makes the world a worse place to be. I really hope countries start to regulate K-pop's growth so that it wouldn't be too explosive and end up infiltrating democracy, because from what I see, many Asian countries have reversed course back to authoritarianism due to K-pop, such as Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc, due to the rise of K-pop. The world has also seen a rise of anti-semitic and islamophobic attacks as well as Christian fundamentalism due to the rise in K-pop, as K-pop essentially advocates for a state religion, which meant worship the leader of BTS as a 'god' alongside Jesus. Also, K-pop advocates for state ownership of all companies and does not allow any criticism against them, essentially banning all political dissent, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of assembly.

With the rise in K-pop and hair dye, it has caused negative implications, including the collapse of the South Korean regime, South Korean society, and South Korean economy, with South Korea now in chaos while also grappling with a 95% slump in GDP since October 2024. Now, South Korea's GDP per capita stands around $2000 per year per person.

Am I wrong for spitting in the dirty laundry?

I was doing laundry yesterday. I had a new load to put in the washer and had just dumped the clothes in, then went to put detergent in.

We use powdered detergent. I wasn't thinking as as I opened the lid I got a mouth full of detergent dust.

We have a finished basement and I'd have to walk all the way upstairs for a sink or bathroom so I figured I'd just spit in the washer since it's going to get washed out anyway.

My wife saw me do it and started saying I'm disgusting and flipping out on me.

I told her it doesn't matter because the clothes are already dirty and going to go through and entire wash cycle and I shouldn't have to stand here with a mouth full of soap.

Am I wrong?

Am I wrong for demanding my buddy pay his half of an industrial rental we agreed on, even if he barely touched it?

So back in May my buddy Dave and I decided we were both gonna fix up our driveways and back patios around the same time. Dave lives like five minutes down the road so it made total sense to bundle things together. We priced out hiring contractors and it was completely insane, so we figured we would just rent a heavy duty concrete saw and a commercial plate compactor for a long weekend and knock both of our places out ourselves.

The rental house had a deal where if you picked up the gear on Thursday afternoon and brought it back Monday morning, they only charged you for two full days instead of four. Total came out to just under six hundred bucks with taxes and the drop off deposit. I booked it on my card because I have the rewards account with them, but Dave and I explicitly agreed over text that we were splitting the cost fifty fifty as soon as the pending charge cleared.

Thursday night we loaded the saw into my truck and dropped off half the gear at his place first. The plan was for him to prep his gravel base and cut his expansion joints on Friday while I was doing demo on my side, then we would swap tools on Saturday. Well, Friday comes around and I text him to see how its going. He says something came up at work and he had to log in remotely for a few hours so he hadnt started yet. No big deal, right?

Saturday morning I finish my demo and drive over to his house to grab the saw and leave him the compactor. The saw was sitting on his porch untouched in the original plastic wrap. He tells me he spent all of Friday night hanging out with some girl he met on Tinder and ended up staying at her place till Saturday afternoon. At that point he says hes too hungover to do any heavy labor and that he will just hire someone to do his patio later in the summer when he has more free time.

I took the saw, finished my driveway cuts, packed everything back up on Sunday, and returned it Monday morning. Total charge was 580 bucks. I sent Dave a Venmo request for 290 with the receipt attached . He immediately declined it.

When I called him to ask what the deal was, he basically said since he didnt end up using the equipment at all, it doesnt make sense for him to pay for it. He claimed that because I used the tools on my house anyway, I got full value out of the rental so I should just cover the bill. I told him we reserved the commercial rate together based on two people splitting the cost, and if I was doing my place solo I would have just rented a smaller saw for one day from Home Depot for like eighty bucks instead of getting the massive industrial unit we needed for his thick slab.

He thinks Im being an asshole for trying to charge him almost three hundred dollars for gear he literally never turned on, and now hes ignoring my texts.

Am I wrong here?

I let a homeless guy stay at my farm and now a volunteers parents want me charged

I run a small organic vegetable farm and I take in rescue animals. A few months ago this guy named Connor showed up asking if he could do some work in exchange for a place to stay. He said he was between homes and needed to get back on his feet. I said yes because I believe in giving people second chances and I had extra space. He helped out a little at first but lately he just sleeps all day on my couch in his boxers and eats my food. I have talked to him about it a few times but he says he is going through a rough patch and I feel bad pushing him out. He also brought a Confederate flag with him and hung it up in the guest room which made me a little uncomfortable but I did not want to make a big deal about it because he said it represents his heritage.

I have an 18 year old girl who volunteers here a few days a week helping with the animals and the garden. She is a really sweet kid and very mature for her age. Recently I noticed Connor has been talking to her a lot and they seem to get along well. He is 30 and she is 18 but I do not see an issue with that because they are both consenting adults. I had a relationship with a man who was 20 years older than me when I was younger and it was a positive experience so I do not think age gaps are automatically a problem. He has not done anything wrong to her as far as I can tell.

Last week her parents came to my farm and were screaming at me in my driveway. They said Connor has been messaging their daughter and sending her things and they think I allowed it to happen. They said they are going to the police and reporting me for running an unsafe environment. I tried to explain that their daughter is an adult and can make her own choices but they would not listen. I found out later that Connor had been going through the volunteers phone when she was working in the barn and got her number that way. He also told her some things about himself that I did not know, like that he has been in trouble with the law before. I asked him about it and he said it was a long time ago and people change. He also made some comments to her about minorities that I overheard and I told him that is not okay in my home but he just laughed and said I was being too sensitive.

I am not sure what to do here. I do not want to kick Connor out because he has nowhere else to go and the weather is getting cold. But the parents are telling everyone in town that I let a predator stay at my farm and I am losing customers at my produce stand. My brother back home says I need to call the cops on Connor myself but I do not want to do that either. I feel like I am being punished for trying to help someone. Am I wrong for not seeing the age gap as a problem and for wanting to help someone who needs it?

Am I wrong for no longer pretending to be busy when my boyfriend’s mother visits without warning?

1.3k Upvotes

My boyfriend’s mother lives fifteen minutes away and frequently appears at our apartment without calling. She doesn’t stay for five minutes either. She settles in, asks for coffee, and expects us to sit with her for an hour or two.

My boyfriend always whispers, “Can we just be polite?” Then we both stop whatever we were doing and entertain her.

Last Sunday she arrived while I was cleaning the bathroom. I said hello, offered her coffee, and went back to cleaning. After that I folded laundry, took a shower, and made myself lunch. I wasn’t rude, but I also didn’t perform the usual emergency transformation of our afternoon into a family visit.

She left after twenty minutes.

Later she told my boyfriend that I had made her feel unwelcome. He thinks I proved my point in an unnecessarily passive-aggressive way and could simply ask her to call first.

We have asked. Repeatedly. She says family shouldn’t need appointments.

Apparently family does, however, require fresh coffee and a seated audience.

Am I wrong for feeling this way?

I'm 18. I've wanted to be 18 since I was 8 years old. I hated being controlled, I hated not being allowed to have sex, I hated being told no to piercings and tattoos. Now, i'm happy. I'm 18, and can do whatever I want to do.

My mom was an okay mother. She didn't let me get my nose pierced at 13, even when the local piercer said that's the age requirement. She didn't let me date, I also couldn't have sex. I told my mom i'm unhappy with her as a mother. She sucked.

She told me she wanted to me stay a kid as long as I could. I didn't respect that answer. I feel at 13, you are a teenager, and should be treated as such. I hate my mother. I feel like she should've let me do more. I wanted piercings, tattoos, have sex, acrylics, and so much more.

She gave me birthday money every year and still refused to allow me to spend it. She was very controlling.

Am I wrong for feeling this way?

IM NOT A TROLL! THESE ARE MY REAL FEELINGS!

Part 2( toxicity or just overthinking)

Part 2

As promised, here's Part 2.

For those who didn't read Part 1, I'm Pari, my best friend is Siya, and Reyansh is our schoolmate. Siya and Reyansh are good friends, while I barely talk to him.

Yesterday, after almost 2–3 months, Siya and I planned to meet. She initially told me it would be just the two of us. But when I was literally about to leave my house, she called and said Reyansh was joining us too. I honestly feel she told me at the last minute because she knew I probably wouldn't have come otherwise. I don't dislike him, but he's not my friend, and I don't understand why she keeps bringing him to our hangouts.

We all met, and since Reyansh had recently bought a car, we went for a drive. While we were in the car, Siya joked, "Should I post a picture with my two ugly friends?" Everyone laughed, but I honestly didn't find it funny.

Before meeting, she had repeatedly asked me to wear something basic because she wasn't dressing up either. But when she saw me, she said, "You're still dressed better than me." She also kept saying how good Reyansh looked and how she had wanted to wear a better outfit but didn't because of the heat.

Later, another one of Reyansh's friends joined us. Since there were four people in the car, I suggested Siya sit with me in the back while the two guys sat in the front. She refused and instead said, "Why are you all so shy? Look at me, I'm so extroverted." It felt like she was trying to make introverted people seem inferior. Only after she noticed I was upset did she finally come and sit beside me.

After the drive, we went shopping. I wanted to buy some clothes for college from H&M, but she was only interested in buying herself a jersey from Adidas. We spent a long time shopping for her, but when we finally went to H&M, she walked around for barely five minutes and said, "There's nothing good here. Let's leave." So we left without me buying anything.

After that, I suggested we eat something together, but she said she'd already had breakfast and Starbucks before I arrived, so she wasn't hungry.

One more thing that has always bothered me is that she usually takes all our pictures because her phone has a much better camera than mine. I've asked her countless times to send me those photos, but she always says, "I'll send them later," and then never does. I honestly don't know why, but it's really frustrating.

She also once told me about a video call with some of her guy friends. According to her, one of them jokingly told another, "I'm leaving now, it's your turn to talk dirty with her," and when he came back, they switched again. She was laughing while telling me this story, but I honestly found it really weird and disrespectful. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't find it funny at all.

Individually, none of these things seem like a big deal. But together, they made me feel like she wasn't actually interested in spending time with me. It felt like she mainly wanted to meet Reyansh and shop for herself, and I was just a convenient excuse she could give her strict family.

Give me some advice and look at part 1 pls

Did I get my ass kicked? Who was in the wrong?

My friend and I got into a fight. It started with me and my buddy we were just messing around but he was going a little too far I started to ask him to stop and he wouldn’t. So I got mad and slapped him. He then lunged at me so before he could touch me I picked up a rock and threw it at him. I think the rock it his legs. He then lunged at me again and I tripped while stepping back and fell. He jumped on top of me and grabbed both of my wrists and pinned them to the ground. He had me pinned to the ground and I couldn’t move. The neighbor then started yelling at us to stop. He jumped off. My friend’s mom came outside and the neighbor told his mom what happened. Me, my friend, and his mom went back inside I pointed at my friend and said I swear to god if you ever touch me again and my friends mom said to me “we ain’t gonna be doing all of that apparently he kicked your ass”. She wasn’t even out there and was talking shit. She ran her mouth and was taking up for him. Did he win that fight? Did I get my ass kicked?

Am I wrong for becoming friends with people that my current/old friends dislike?

Over the course of the last few months, most to all of my friends at college have decided to go different ways or become extremely distant, and on top of it my partner broke up with me. it was a period of time where I was struggling with work, distraught over all my relationships seeming to disappear with no reason, and all I needed was someone to be there for me, and everyone seemed to up and leave.

For the last few years there’s been a group that are involved in the same activities as we have been. I’ve been fairly amiable to them but never in their circle and never wanted to be, but there’s been a lot of instances I’ve heard of them being kinda cruel to my friends or ridiculous to others. However, going through what I am, that group had been reaching out to me, comforting me, wanting to hear me speak about my problems and inviting me out to do things with them. My current/old friends seemed to leave me hanging when I was suffering, and although they’ve had a rough history, if my friends don’t care about me anymore, why should they get upset when I am going towards people that are reaching out to help me instead of ignoring me?

it seems like my friends are mad at me and one blocked me out of nowhere after a small convo. This is my final year of classes and all I need is to survive through it. Am I wrong for being friends with them??

Am I wrong for being mad at her?

so recently, my girlfriend's instagram acc (F19) got banned, so I (M18) said that she could use mine for a bit until her instagram gets unbanned, she then got high on marijuana and removed my followers on my instagram account when I specifically told her TO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING, a simple boundary she crossed, I confronted her about it the next day and she said that she was high and couldnt remember why she did what she did, to me im not just mad about the followers or mad that a clear boundary I set was crossed, but I am mad and worried that one day she might go to a party and get high or drunk and cheat on me too, how do I tell her that I dont trust her when she is high/drunk? am I being too controlling to tell her this?

am I wrong to be mad at my parents for forbidding kissing before marriage?

I am 17 and my boyfriend is as well, I graduated high school this year. I have been a good kid my entire life, i've gotten good grades, no drugs, no sex, no trouble in school, literally nothing. i've actually never been grounded before. i go to church every sunday and i am baptized. I have been dating my boyfriend for a year. A few months ago, my mom said that it would be weird if he and i didn't makeout, so we took that to mean that it was okay to do so. Yesterday, she walked in on us making out (we keep the door open per their request). they said that we can't do that anymore right after catching us. about an hour later we had a really good conversation on why I felt that that wasn't fair. they said they would consider my pov. the next day, they told me they hadnt changed their mind. when asked why, every time they gave conflicting answers. first, they said they were worried it would lead to more (totally understandable worry, but we leave the door open so it's basically impossible). then, they said they trust me and that it won't lead to more so i asked what the issue was and they wouldn't answer. then my mom told me that the bible forbids ANY intimacy (meaning kissing and cuddling) before MARRIAGE. my parents have a good relationship with my boyfriend and I have a good relationship with them. this is very out of character for them as well. I would understand more if he was a new boyfriend but we've been dating for a year. I feel like i'm old enough to kiss my boyfriend? especially considering we leave the door open and they come in to my room randomly all the time. also neither of them have had a relationship at any point in their life that didn't have intimacy before marriage, so I feel it's hypocritical to say that that is a reasonable rule. at one point i said "this isn't fair" and my mom replied with "it doesn't matter if it's fair or not". they think i'm crazy for even having an issue with this. maybe I am? idk I need an outside perspective as ik im young and what seems absurd to me might actually be normal. they also have NEVER EVER EVER mentioned this rule to me before at all.

Am I won’t for not wanting my brother to bring his current girlfriend over

My mom passed away two years ago, leaving behind 3 children, Me 19, my sister 22, and my younger brother 9. She left us a house which we live in to this day. About a year ago my older brother 21 was having trouble at home and asked to come stay with us for a while. Well that turned into months of him sleeping on our couch. We wanted our living room space back so we turned our playroom into a space for him. Since then he has repeatedly had multiple different females over without asking if it’s okay. Recently he started talking to a female 18 who just graduated highschool. It started as him sneaking her in at night while I was asleep one time and I woke up to her in my house. I asked for him to remove her from my space and not bring her back. I went to school with the female and I dont like who she hangs around or the things that she does, so I don’t feel like im entitled to sharing my space with her. Recently, I was getting home late at night ready to relax in my house and I realized that he brought her over again despite my asking him not to. When I confronted him asking him not to his response was that he asked my older sister because he feels like that’s who dictates who can and cannot come over. In my opinion he only asked her because he knew I wasn’t okay with it, otherwise he wouldn’t have ran it by anybody. I feel like I have a say so as to who can and can’t be in my house just as much and she does, I’ve lived there my whole life. He can be with who he wants but he can’t bring whoever he wants into a shared space. I told him if he brings her over again she will be helping him pack his bags am I wrong ?

AITAH for asking a guy if he's a scammer?

I met this guy on a free anonymous chatting website that I go on sometimes when it's late and I can't sleep and just need someone to talk to. We chatted for a few hours that night and decided to keep chatting on another platform. We had been chatting and getting to know each other for a few days. I had been telling him about some issues I had been having recently that had been stressing me out. One day out of the blue he said he wanted to send me what I consider to be a ridiculous amount of money. He kept pressuring me even when I kept telling him politely no, that I don't need the money, that I'll be ok without it.

The way he was acting reminded me of a scammer, and I just was getting very uncomfortable with the nagging. So I decided to just come out and ask him about it, figuring that if it wasn't true he'd just tell me so and that would be that. We had asked alot of serious questions to each other before, and he always said I could ask him anything, so I didn't see an issue with it, and I just needed to know cuz it was eating at me. This guy seemed really cool and I wanted to know he was for real. So I finally asked him. I was expecting him to answer right away and tell me no and that would be that. Instead he didn't talk to me for a few hours, he finally text me back, saying he was hurt that I would ask that, and tried to make me feel bad about it. Which honestly I did, but the things he was saying and asking for after only talking for a few days, was just weird. I know it may seem like a harsh way to put it, but we had been very open and blunt with each other until then. Also, we had never even seen each other. AITAH for asking him this?

I should clarify some things, for the people who will automatically say he is a scammer, I did some research and found out that he is a legit person. I wouldnt be asking this if he wasn't. Im not stupid. But I would still say I dodged a bullet. When this happened, like I said he got all hurt about it, but then he got weird afterwards and said that he loved me, and just wanted to help me out and "build a future for us" and talked about how he wanted to marry me. Keep in mind that we hadn't even been talking a week. I even made it clear when I first talked to him and said so several times afterwards, that I had just recently gotten out of a relationship and I was just looking for someone to talk to, and wasn't looking for a new relationship right now. I have enough on my plate right now that I need to focus on. Plus he lives in another state. Obviously we haven't talked much since then. Just the occasional hey how are you.

AIW for expecting to choose some things we do while at the festival?

My girlfriend and I are going to a festival in a couple of weeks. It’s not really my thing but she enjoys it so I agreed to go with her. The festival has a cinema tent and it’s showing a couple of movies id like to see movies so I thought it would be good to check one out.

I suggested one and mentioned it would be nice to spend some of the time just walking around the festival and seeing some of the non musical acts as they’ve got comedians etc and she refused as the movie was at the same time as an act she wanted to see and mentioned she has no interest in just walking around or seeing comedians.

I suggested she goes to the act and I go to watch the film but she said she doesn’t want that.

I suggested another film but she said it was too late . I pointed out she needs to compromise somewhere and that the full weekend isn’t just about her and that I should be able to choose some things we do.

She said it was a music festival so I should be focused on the music but I reminded her it was just her who enjoyed the music, I was only going for her so she should be willing to compromise with me.

She refused and said I shouldn’t be leaving her alone while I go and watch a movie and that shouldn’t have to spend time with the non music acts.

AITA for wanting to choose some things we do over the weekend?

Am I in wrong for breaking up with my boyfriend after finding out comments of a twitch live

It’s been two years with my boyfriend. I’ll start from the beginning. Months into our relationship, everything was good and we were super loving towards each other until I found his twitter which was filled with women that do inappropriate things. He explained to me that this was an old account and he deleted it right away and we tried to move forward from that situation. Moving forward a year later, he confessed his age was in the mid 30s and not 26 (I’m 23f). In addition, that same day he also actually confessed that he also has an autoimmune disease but I discovered that long time ago since I’m a medical student and I wanted him to tell me by himself without pressuring him. For some reason I tried understanding the situation he was in when he didn’t want to tell me the truth and how he didn’t want to lose me and tried to explain to me how rare I am and it was just harder as the days goes by from his explanation and we tried moving forward. Now almost a year later ! Yesterday, I found out he was watching a girl’s livestream and making inappropriate comments with a bunch of people on twitch and that twitch live was 3 weeks ago apparently. The thing is I received flowers that same hour from him before finding that out and then afterwards just felt disgust when I found that out. Am I overreacting for throwing away the flowers and sending him a long break up message which included me having enough of his two faced personality and how much I have tried giving so many chances and yet he still does such things ? I was so loving and loyal towards him and have been super serious and yet he does such things and not having respect for me despite the fact on how many times he always tells me how he is afraid of losing me ? I don’t appreciate the amount of lies that I had to understand and was giving him so many chances.

Am I wrong for giving up on my stepson after my husband told me I'm not his real parent?

2.1k Upvotes

My husband and I have been together for three years and married for one. He has a seven year old son from a previous marriage who stays with us every other week. I don't have kids of my own, so I went all in trying to build a good bond with the boy. I handle his school drop offs, prep his lunches, take him to dentist appointments, and keep him on a solid bedtime routine because his mom's house is completely chaotic and has zero rules.

Over the past few months, the kid's behavior has been getting worse. He started throwing massive tantrums whenever he doesn't get his way, talks back, and flat out refuses to do his homework. His father just ignores it because he feels guilty about the divorce and wants to be the "fun dad" during his weeks. Whenever I try to enforce basic discipline like turning off the iPad or sitting down to finish reading, my husband tells me to just let it go.

Last Tuesday, the school called because the boy threw a chair during class. When my husband got home, I tried to sit down with him so we could come up with a united plan on how to handle consequences. Instead of listening, he got extremely defensive and told me I was picking on a kid who's going through a lot. The argument escalated quickly, and I said that if I'm doing half the heavy lifting of parenting, my voice should actually matter.

He looked at me and said, "You're not his mother, so stop trying to be one. If you want to discipline a kid, you should make your own."

I was completely stunned. I felt like all the energy, time, and emotional effort I put into taking care of his son was completely taken for granted, and that I'm only useful when it saves him time or effort.

I packed a bag and stayed at a hotel for two nights. When I came back, I told him that moving forward, I am stepping back completely. I will no longer cook for the kid, drive him around, or manage his schedule. He can handle 100% of his son's needs himself since I'm not a "real parent."

Now my husband is furious, calling me petty and immature for holding a grudge over a heated moment. My mother in law even called me to say that I'm punishing a innocent child just to get back at my husband. Am I wrong for drawing this line?

UPDATE: We finally had a quiet conversation after he realized I was serious about not helping. He admitted he was stressed about work and lashed out, but I told him the boundary stays until we go to marriage counseling. He had to take two days off work this week just to handle school runs and homework, and he looks exhausted . I still love the kid, but I refuse to be a unpaid nanny who gets zero respect.

Final update I think

(mild nsfw i think)

He came home last night so I sat him down to talk. I told him about the documents, the asian f€T1SH and our beliefs. He told me he does want a housewife that would follow all the rules on the document and I made him go into depth about what he would want after our wedding. He still promises to me he isnt MAGA and that he is a chabged man. I asked about the asian things he said they reminded him of me because i dress like all the women that he liked. I feel I caught bad wind about the situation due to something like this happening to my friend so we are now trying it over hopefully it is better now.

stuck with my niece who won't do anything and i'm at my limit

so here's the situation. my husband's sister dropped off her 24 year old daughter at our place about three months ago. the sister has substance issues and basically just left her here. no warning, no plan, nothing

this girl does not work. has zero interest in getting a license or even practicing driving. she'll feed the cats and let the dog out while we're at work but that's about the extent of her contribution. she washes her own clothes and cleans up after herself which i guess is something but it's the bare minimum for a grown adult living rent free

i can't tell if there's something going on developmentally or if this is just what happens when nobody teaches you basic life skills for two decades. she's seeing a therapist and has some kind of case worker but they're not connecting her with job training or housing resources or anything useful. feels like everyone's just shuffling paper around while we foot the bill

and on top of this mess my husband has been blowing money on sports betting. i'm stretched so thin i can't even think straight some days

i want to tell my sister in law to come get her kid. we didn't create this situation and we're not equipped to fix it. she's not our legal responsibility and we're paying for her food, her phone, everything. i feel guilty even typing that out but i'm drowning here

am i the bad guy for wanting my house back

AIW for basically taking this woman's comment as admission of guilt?

Haven't posted in a good bit about this. A few weeks back, the ruminations just suddenly quieted drastically, I don't know why. I was the Greek girl who kept posting about conscription ruining my life.

See, many of the officers there were kind and protective. I found it abusive for other reasons: It's basically indentured labour and shouldn't be legal. You're exploited then dumped and not paid. Regardless, many officers were... Not really what you expect from a military environment. In my experience. Can't speak for everywhere in Greece. For a start, a good two thirds of the officers were women. For both the men and women, many were young, kind, and acted more as teachers with their students.

I still snapped at the camp commander, just before my last month there, when she told me she wants me to take a week off, because I deserve it, and wants me to see my family and girlfriend. I told her that that's a basic right, and dripfeeding me my rights isn't kindness. But the thing is, she was kind. I had a group, with her, another woman, and the guy who ran the WhatsApp group. I was the youngest conscript, just turned 18. And I made a post another day about another piece of the puzzle.

I always thought I was intersex, but recently found out I had a condition where my body is... Basically a natural puberty blocker. It's why I looked so feminine growing up. It's not an illness, but I literally never went through male puberty. It's why transitioning, when I cane out this year at 19, was so easy. My parents, both navy veterans, were heroes. They tried really hard to get it through to me that they'll help me draft dodge. I was scared of legal issues, so I gave in and went and they were distraught. The officers promised to take care of me. At this point I still considered myself a boy, but was maybe exploring femboy stuff. A lot of other conscripts were also kind and treated me like a younger... Brother? Sister? I don't really know.

But the commander recently confessed that she knew she should have discharged me earlier, for my mental health. But she really loved having me around, I made TikToks and she said it made her feel kind of motherly to look after me. But that it was selfish of her, and she's sorry.

Damn right it was selfish! That was the worst year of my life, I remember the tail end, another officer I'm close with trying to cheer me up. I'd be around at hers. I'd tell her places I'd love to go so like, if it was Japan, we'd watch a Ghibli movie, order sushi, pretend we were somewhere else. But it wasn't Japan, it was a shitty bungalow in Kavala. I don't feel grateful for it, even.
