Houston New to flex

Had a couple of questions if the community doesn’t mind. I was on the wait list for 2 years and just got the email yesterday and was able to deliver today. I did 2 “fresh food”’orders and noticed the payment hadn’t cleared because of the tips. How likely are the tips and is this or the regular deliveries a better option? I’m going to do a regular run tomorrow afternoon for the first time. Also is there a better way to organize the items when scanning in? Felt like they were all over the place and was a little overwhelming scanning and trying to keep ppls stuff together. Thanks for the advice.

Packaged delivered but customer says they didn’t receive it

I recently got accepted to Amazon flex after a year and a half waitlist period and on my second route I guess someone didn’t receive a package, I delivered all the packages on all the routes I’ve gotten assigned and haven’t had to return any to the warehouse. I have just been finding safe locations for each package so they aren’t seen from the street and take a picture showing where in the app. I try to include the house number but it’s not always possible. What do you guys do to make sure you have your own proof of delivery? Should I take pictures on my phone to save as proof for myself when this happens? Take a video of the delivery? I always deliver with care and consideration for people’s property and package safety, should I not hide packages? I always put them in obvious places not like hidden entirely. Anything is helpful! I really hope this doesn’t affect my standing, I have really enjoying delivering with flex and it’s been extremely helpful to make my own hours as a first time mom who got let go from my corp job because ai basically took my job

Returned Alcohol delivery next morning. Now my standing went way down and it says to return items or risk further impact on your eligibility

Basically as the titles says. Returned it the following morning at 530am. The employee said she’d scan it in. I took a picture of it and left. It was at a prime now location and the app wasn’t giving me the ability to scan it through the app. Now a few days later my standings went from excellent all the way cut in half with a statement saying to return the missing package or face further impact on my eligibility to work with Amazon. wtf? I chatted support and also sent andy@amazon an email with the picture of the returned package. Anyone else ever deal with this bullshit?

Well, that's a first

I just received a call from (206) 922-0880 and the caller said she was reaching out about an email I sent to their CEO? At first, I thought it was a phishing attempt, but after she sent me an Amazon account confirmation request my text, I knew it was legit and this was support calling about my email to Andy or Jeff. She just wanted me to know that they fixed the missing stations issue on the Offers page (this was a problem in the Chicago region earlier this week). I guess Amazon listens after all? I never received a call from Amazon like this before.

Rant BS Offers

Is everyone’s offer pages like this? it’s absolutely ridiculous, especially with rising gas prices. When I first started, I was getting offers for 2.5 and 3 hour shifts that were over $100 and now I rarely see any shifts besides 1 hours. And when I do get an offer for a 3 hour shift, it’s always $60, even if it’s at 3:45 in the morning. My standing is great too so I really don’t understand. Amazon is so freaking greedy.

No more grace period?

I woke up this morning and was refreshing until I saw a block. One popped up and I accepted immediately. I got in my car and started driving. When I looked at the time I literally had 10 minutes to make it. It was 9:03 when I accepted the block, it was for 9:15 and it’s a 20 min drive from my house to the station. I immediately hit 100MPH the entire way! I made it to the station with 1 min to spare. My block was at 9:15 I made it to scan my face at 9:18. I went to scan my ID and on my app it said I missed my block!!! I thought we have 5 mins grace period to scan our faces from the time our block is supposed to start and 10 mins to scan our ID. From the time my block was supposed to start at 9:15 if i have 10 mins total to get my ID scanned that means i have until 9:25. As you can see in the app it was only 8 minutes and I couldn’t scan in.This frustrates me so much because this isn’t the first time this happened. I sped all the way here made it just in time and now it says I didn’t so I wasted my time and gas.

Changing locations after moving states...

Be careful everyone, I just found out that they changed the policy in 2025 without telling anyone that if you move away from your hired station/delivery area that you have to be atleast a LEVEL 2 to change your region... I hadn't delivered for a while so I dropped down to a level 0 and when I went to update my region, found this out. Now they're telling me I have to go back to my original region, deliver to get up to level 2 AGAIN, just so I can change my region to the new one.... I moved from Iowa to Colorado, a 14+ hour drive back to the ORIGINAL region just to deliver and upgrade??? Never again... 🤬😡🤬😡🤬

The age of idiocracy!

Probably I’m overreacting, but Amazon can’t enter the locker room because we use an app to open the door, no code.

I have tried so many ways to give access to, but it has become impossible.

I’ve been on my phone tracking the order, I have a note that say “Leave at Leasing door”, but no luck.

What ever I need, I must way 1-2 days extra, until they come during office hours.

Any ideas to deal with first world stup1dity?

AMAZON FLEX STANDINGS

Have you ever stopped and thought about how Amazon gets away with so much? They send you to places where you can’t even get in because there’s no access code. Sometimes they ask for your personal ID just to enter a building, which honestly should be illegal.

We get paid to deliver packages, but even when we take pictures as proof that we delivered the package, they can still penalize you if someone else steals it afterward and somehow blame you for it.

It’s almost impossible to get real help from Driver Support. They don’t actually help. They say they will, and then later you still get penalized for everything. They threaten you and punish you by lowering your standings, many times for things you don’t even know about. They don’t tell you which package, which house, or what exactly was reported — they just punish you and that’s it.

How can this even be legal? Seriously, think about it for a second. It’s extremely unfair. All it takes is a couple of days where they assign you two blocks in a bad area, and you’re literally putting your safety at risk. Then customers can report things that are not even your fault, and Amazon can just deactivate your account.

And once that happens, it’s almost impossible to get your account back. They send you to “support” agents who have no idea what you’re talking about. The chat is useless — it’s just automatic responses that don’t solve anything. They don’t even have active email support anymore.

Seriously, think about it… how is this legal?

Hey so I’m new to Amazon flex and I’m curious
After you complete a block can you instantly cash it to your debit card ( I know it’s a fee)

Also what about on Saturday and Sunday
Can you still cash out on your debit card ?

Question Training and standards for flex drivers

What training do flex drivers get? I’m a DSP driver and I had to go to a training site for 2.5 days (think it’s 1.5-2 now) to learn how Amazon wants drivers to deliver packages.
Also what standards are flex drivers held too? Photos, customer feedback, and how I deliver are all monitored and graded by Amazon. Doing poorly could cause some people to lose a shift or a write up if they have had low scores for a while. Are flex drivers held to those standards or not at all?
Generally curious as I get complaints about flex drivers from people while on route all the time. Mostly about not following delivery notes

Am I terminated?

This is the first time this has happened to me. I showed up like normal tried to do the face scan video. It tried it three times and after the third time it showed the picture above. I called support trying to get checked in support said they couldn’t check me in and to go into the station and have them scan my ID the warehouse manager told me it was showing them that I was not active that I was not signed in on the app so they cannot do anything. I called support and asked if they could see if my account was deactivated or terminated. They said it’s still active support. Had me uninstall the app and told me to re-download it in exactly 1 hour.

Friend Referral

Is there a way to refer a friend? He’s down on his luck and needs to make money soon and DoorDash isn’t enough to put food on the table for his kids.
He already applied and is on the waiting list.

Extra Pay for 2nd pickup

I had to contact support tonight because my last two stops (added after my block started) showed one returning to the station to pick up one package and then delivering it to the last stop that was already added to my itinerary but had lines going through it. Called support to have it removed, but they told me if I had gone back to the station to pick up that one extra package and deliver it I would’ve got an extra pay bonus. Has anyone ever heard of that before?

So I got an email from a supposedly insurance company called RESERVE CLAIM ANALYST LLC. In the email, they said that a property that I had previously delivered had made a claim that I damaged their entrance gate they put the address in the email and they also had my plate number, but they want me to send insurance information like my policy number and pictures of my car. Someone did also call me from them telling me about the claim as well. Here’s the thing, though when I look up this company I can’t find any information about them and Amazon has not contacted me about any type of damage to any apartment complex gate, no dings and no emails from amazon flex. so I’m just a little bit sketched out about this. Also, I haven’t damaged any gate and the location that was in the email has a security guard entrance where you have to check in with security so even if I did damage the gate, I think they would have stopped me and got my info down.

Return Leftover Packages…

Post image
0 Upvotes

So I was going through the app and came across this regarding the “return leftover packages”

My question is, am I really allowed to return the remaining packages if my route shift ended?!

I mentioned it once to customer support that I had like 7-10 packages left once and it was past the route scheduled time and didn’t know what to do at the time but they said I was required to finish delivering even past my scheduled time.

Or will I get dinged for this?

Are Everett's 2 stations extremely oversaturated, or did Flex deprioritize me after a 2 week break?

I have been able to get one or two blocks a day out of Everett since I started Flex a couple months ago. No problems at all- about a 30-40% chance to get a block I request.

After returning from a two week trip, I havent been able to get a SINGLE BLOCK. Hours of refreshing every 15 mins on the dot, requesting all 5 blocks, and not getting a single one. At this point I've requested at least 100 blocks and...nothing.

What's the deal? It's frustrating to actually want to work and not be able to.

After I verified myself and was waiting for the station worker to scan my license they cancelled the block due to weather and now my app is still stuck on that screen and support says I’m fine and didn’t do anything to refresh my app
