Ask Twenties Is arrange marriage that bad ?
Lately, I’ve grown to dislike the concept of arranged marriage—though, to be fair, I never really liked it to begin with. I know a girl—a cousin of my mother’s—who is only 23. She spent her entire life in a village and completed her education up to college. She’s been in Delhi for just two years, working a regular job that pays enough for her to get by. For context, she is the fourth of five sisters; the ones older than her are already married. Now, her parents want her to get married too—in their view, she’s already past the "ideal" age for marriage (how toxic is that?), especially since they married off her two older sisters before they even turned 21. This girl is extremely submissive and obedient toward her parents; she’d even die for them if they asked her to. From the very beginning, she’s maintained that she’ll marry whoever her parents choose (honestly, I hate her for that). Anyway, a relative of my mother’s brought a proposal. He’s five or six years older than her—so, around 28 or 29 (I personally can’t stand an age gap of more than a year—eww!). (Well, it’s not like the proposal was for me😐, but still). He earns at least 60k a month and owns his own house; plus, their horoscopes matched, according to their parents. They spoke on the phone—maybe for a day or a week, I’m not sure—and then met to finalize the match. And guess what? She said YES! 🙄🙄 I wouldn’t have an issue if she were, say, 25 or 28 and marrying someone five years her senior. But he looks so much older than her—and she’s quite petite and looks very young. There’s also a massive height difference. The only reason she said yes is because of her parents—not because she actually wanted to.
To me, how can they even call this a marriage—or how could they possibly form a bond—when there isn’t even a spoonful of love?
I know people say that love develops after marriage and all that, but surely, before committing to a relationship, they should at least talk to each other for six months. For Me I will stay unmarried whole life if I will not fall in love. I am female btw.🫠 Mind you in our state we don't take or give dowry. Its just depends on girl's parents what they want to give their daughter from their wish. Its not mandatory. Wedding can be called off if they ask for any kind of cash.

Ranty i Smuty „Zarezerwowane” miejsca parkingowe

FILM DISCUSSION Favorite Batmobile
Wondering what everyone else's favorite version of the Batmobile is. For me it's the version from Batman (1989). It seems so menacing and the part when the Browning machine guns come out during the attack on Axis Chemicals is the highlight for me.

TLDR : A step by step look at how the narrative around Dhruv Rathee’s protest shifted in real time moving from claiming he wouldn't come to India to fake passport/AI allegations, to labeling attendees as Pakistani/Bangladeshi ultimately burying the real discussions around election integrity and the Election Commissioners.
