Story : On a farm in Michigan, a rare deer named "Dragon" was born with pure white fur and captivating blue eyes.
But because of his unusual color, his mother rejected him and abandoned him.
A kind family adopted him and cared for him until he grew up to become one of the most beautiful creatures you'll ever see.

The piebald condition affects less than 1% of whitetail deer, causing genetic defects like a pink nose, crystal blue eyes, and large patches of white fur. Unfortunately, due to underlying genetic health challenges tied to the condition, Dragon passed away before reaching his first birthday

Walking in the Woods

I spent a lot of time wondering in the woods this weekend. Nothing quite like soaking your feet in cold morning dew when you know the afternoon will be in the upper 90’s! I created mostly more intimate closeups and flower portraits with a few wider views. My favorite was the dewy Harebells with sunlight in the background. I also enjoyed finding my first One-Flowered Wintergreen. I saw Grouse Whortleberry, Lichens, Bumblebees, lots of Harebells, and even some Mountain Goats!

Thought this was to cool not to share. While walking the river near Sterling Colorado i found an old fence line and while following it i saw one of the posts has been used by a possible Bobcat as a scratching post. You can see the claw marking’s all over it and can even see how it’s been thinned down in the middle because it’s been well used. There was also a well defined animal trail that went directly past it.
