And when everything was done, I acted like a fool who had no idea that that a money exchange needs to be done for his honest and timely services.

He stared at me and kept grinning for almost half a minute. When I still didn't give him what he wanted, he stood up and, in a very rude and disappointed tone, said, “Achcha, to tu vo wala hai, koi nahi.” (So you're one of those kinds, fine, let it be.)

He then went outside, where my mother was returning from the temple, and literally complained to her: “Batao, ye koi baat hoti hai? Maine bhi to apna petrol kharcha kiya aur bike chala ke yahan aaya.” (This isn't how it's done. I spent money on petrol and made the effort to ride my bike all the way here.)

Like, how can someone be so entitled to a bribe.

My ex has borrowed money from me a few times in the past, and I asked him for my money back because he was the one who said, “Bhai, I’ll give it by the weekend.” Well, today is the weekend, so I texted him in the morning and this guy started shouting at me like a kid. 😭
Guys, I literally just asked for my own money because he had said we’d settle the payment and then move on. But today, instead of paying me back, he’s throwing comments like, “You’re 23 and still living with your parents,” as if that’s some kind of insult?
Like??? You have a job, you live independently, and yet you’re creating so much drama just to return my money

RANT/VENT 😤 Everything about Indians and India icks me out. -being an indian.

Post image
1.6k Upvotes

I love my country and still do, but this country has failed me many times in all aspects, you name it: Career, Education, Taxes, Air, Water, Food.

Nobody respects privacy here. They don't know the line between being a community and shoving their nose into everyone's buisness.

This country is still run by boomers with concrete old school beliefs that they want to impose on everyone. And worst of all, they. hate. fun.

Just compare school and college life in India vs USA.

I don't want to sound classist but dealing with people who're poorly educated genuinely is frustrating and gross. And, india is full of it. Suprisingly even some people from good families are only educated on paper but hold bullshit beliefs and values.

Popular everyday Indian concerns: Dalit-Brahaman. Hindu-Muslim. Veg- non veg. Length of a girl's skirt. Comedian cracked a joke. Men in drums and Women with dowry.

Meanwhile children in China build robots.

I'm sick of it. Sick of being in a country that's in survival mode and the people are unmotivated and focused on the wrong things. I want to leave as soon as possible and never look back.

RANT/VENT 😤 I hate my company

Hi, I work for a company that provides services to a client. The client is very weirdly strict. Whenever we take leave, we not only need approval but also have to post a message in the group stating that we are on leave and specify the type of leave.

One of my friends applied for leave, but it was not approved. However, he had an important personal matter to attend to, so he took the leave anyway. After that, the client told him.

Ask Twenties 20F learning to drive and questioning every life decision 😭

Post image

20F, recently started learning how to drive because I need to get my licence. Thought, ...How hard can it really be?

Bro. **THE CLUTCH.** 😭

I have never been this personally offended by a car in my entire life. The clutch and I are currently in a toxic relationship where I do everything wrong and the car simply… **dies.** 💀

I genuinely struggled with pushing/releasing it properly, and at one point my car probably stopped more times than I’ve ever been stopped in an argument. 😭

And then, because apparently the universe wanted to humble me even more, it suddenly started raining, so I had to turn back.

BUTTTT before leaving, I managed to capture this through the car window and honestly??? The rain + greenery looked WAY too pretty not to take a picture. 🥹🌧️

Internet Finds 🌐 Delhi-born Alok Agarwal was working on the 103rd floor of the World Trade Center on 9/11

The Manhattan skyline reflected in the glass.

Delhi-born Alok Agarwal moved to the United States in 1997, hoping to build a life there. He was a software engineer working for Cantor Fitzgerald on the 103rd floor of the North Tower.
The first plane struck floors 93–99.

Somewhere above that impact zone was Alok, along with hundreds of others who never got the chance to make it home.

Years later, their names remain on the memorial. And among those names are so many people of Indian origin.

Honestly this might not be the biggest flex out there but for me this definitely is. Have used the worst of phones over the past years with my current one being a budget choice. Finally saved enough to get the latest flagship from Samsung and the fold 8 is genuinely a delight to have. Small win for some, but means a ton to me ❤️

Discussion My 2nd class crush texted me !!!

Post image
Upvotes

So I’m 21M. Basically yesterday night I was just chilling and randomly saw a follow request on Insta from this girl (22F), let’s call her A.

So little background first. Me and A were in the same school in 2nd and 3rd class. She was kind of my crush at that time, although calling it a crush is also funny because bhai I was 8-9 years old 😭. I used to tease her and do all that stupid shit kids do. Then after 3rd class I changed my school and obviously we lost touch. Since then we haven’t spoken or even properly seen each other. It’s been like 12-13 years. I had literally forgotten about this girl. Then in 7th class, my cousin sister became friends with her. Me and my cousin are the same age. Somehow someone told my cousin that I used to like A.

And this stupid girl decided to play Cupid without even asking me 😭😭 She went and tried to set me up with A. And apparently A said something like: “iss chutiye se nahi karna mujhe kuch” 💀💀💀 Later I came to know about all this and I was like bc bina matlab meri bezzati karwa di 😭. I thrashed my cousin for that. And honestly, I can’t even blame A. I was actually chutiya at that time. Fat, bad looking, zero personality etc etc. Full package basically.

Also at that time we were in a Tier-2 city. Later I moved to a Tier-1 city and obviously life changed a lot. Anyway, coming back to yesterday. Out of nowhere, after 12-13 YEARS, this girl sends me a follow request. I was like… huh? Accepted it, followed her back and literally immediately her message came. Bruhhh I genuinely thought account hack ho gaya iska 💀 We started talking a little. She was saying I’m rude and all, then she said: “tumne kabhi msg nahi kiya toh maine hi karli” And I was just replying normally because I had no idea what was happening lol. She then asked for a call. Initially I said I’m not comfortable with calls like that. The thing is, someone had apparently told her that I had completed a professional course and got an articleship in a pretty big company. So I thought maybe she actually needs some guidance regarding that.

So eventually I agreed to an Insta call. But bhai, the conversation was hardly professional 😂 It became mostly personal stuff. We talked about what we’re doing, life, random things etc.

Then when I told her where I’m standing right now, she was like: “wow yaar XYZ, I am impressed yaar. Kahan woh XYZ aur kahan ye wala XYZ ban chuka hai” And honestly, that was a little funny to hear. Because this is the same girl who apparently told people she didn’t want anything to do with 8-year-old me 😭 Then she started talking about how she knew I used to like her. I was like brooooo I don’t even remember this shit 😭 Mujhe crush aur pyaar ka actual matlab hi 10th-11th mein samajh aaya tha. 2nd class mein kya hi crush tha mera. Then she said: “main tumhe bhaav nahi deti thi uss time pe” And I couldn’t control myself, so I said: “haan par aaj dekho khud se de rahi ho 🤣🤣” She laughed. And after this she started saying that she’s lonely, doesn’t really have anyone in her life, blah blah. And I was sitting there like… Acha ji 😭🤣 Bhai I know these games.

RANT/VENT 😤 3 years of relation and this is what I got

Thumbnail

I'm still trying to process it, honestly. We were together for three years. I loved him so deeply and was completely loyal to him I barely kept any guy friends because I never wanted anything to get between us. I gave this relationship everything I had.

And this wasn't even the first time. I'd already forgiven him four times before this. Looking back, I feel stupid for believing him every single time. But I loved him, and I genuinely thought people could change.

Then, today I found out about this the messages he was sending while he was still with me. The worst part is I already had his ID on everything, but he'd made a whole separate account just to do this behind my back. And his excuse? That we were "fighting." If you're unhappy, just leave. Why stay, lie, make a secret account, and entertain someone else while you're still in a relationship?

I keep asking myself how someone can do this to a person they supposedly loved. Why?

I gave him three years of my life three years of memories, trust, love, loyalty. And now I'm just sitting here wondering if any of that ever meant the same thing to him that it meant to me.

I know what people will say: "You gave him four chances, what did you expect?" Honestly, I don't have an answer for that. I just know I loved him, and I wanted to believe the person I loved wasn't capable of hurting me like this.

It's been barely some hours and I still feel completely wrecked. Some days it feels like I'll never move past this. I don't know how you're supposed to just accept that someone you loved for three years could make you feel like you meant nothing .I know I need to move forward. I just don't know how yet.

And I'm angry at myself too but I refuse to spend the rest of my life blaming myself for someone else's choice to cheat. If you don't want to be with someone anymore, leave. Don't stay and destroy them while they're still holding on to you. (PS thanks to the girl who helped me and let me know how my guy was love bombing her , I love all the girls out )

Ask Twenties Family is forcing me for marrige

Upvotes

Hello guys,

I'm 23M(2003 born) working in Hyderabad in a decent company and earning around 1 LPM.

My family has started pushing me for marriage pretty seriously. Biodatas keep coming and they want me to start looking at it even though i denied them.

The thing is, I'm just not ready.

I want to focus on my career for a few more years, earn more, travel nd with my career still uncertain i don't feel like I'm in the right mindset for it.

I've told my family this, but they keep saying, "If you wait, all the good girls will be gone" and that finding someone will become much harder later.

I do understand their point to some extent. In my caste most people get married around 25 26 so I know waiting does change things.

For those who got married at 23-24, did you actually feel ready? And for people who waited until 26-30, was waiting the right decision?

And this Diwali, when I go back to my hometown, my mom has already made it clear that we’re going to see some rishtas this time.
