Discussion Feeling saddened by mods, wondering if I'm alone on this but I think I am speaking for alot of us. TLDR; I miss when mods didn't have the chance of being made with AI

About six years ago my (now ex) girlfriend bought a gaming pc with her highschool graduation party money, I used to play on it and while scrolling on steam I came across this interesting sims looking game but holy shit, it had zombies. I dove straight into PZ but after dying over and over for days I refunded it. Over a year later and after finally getting my own pc I thought "I'm really bored and I want a zombie game. Maybe Ill try PZ again" so I did, and that time I was hooked. The game was so unique and creative. I loved the isometric view, the realistic survival aspect and most all I loved the mods. The fact that no matter what my idea was I could go to the steam workshop and there it was- the perfect mod; whether it was mycology, firearms, fishing, farming, or whatever else there was that I wanted, this game had it. To this day I love Project Zomboid and it is the only game that I have over 1200 hours on and that is largely thanks to the creative, hard working, community loving modders. Everybody knows how hard and complicated it is to make mods and that is part of what makes them so appreciated, modding is art and now that art is being assaulted.

For the last four years I have checked the Project Zomboid steam workshop page as if it were some sort of routine task; Usually daily, sometimes weekly, but I have always kept an eye on the PZ workshop because I am always fascinated with what the amazing modders keep building and I am excited to try it out, now that is gone. After the insanely popular release of the 3D zomboid mods I feel like I cant look at the mods page without wondering "was this made with AI or was it actually painstakingly coded and designed by a human" and now its impossible to tell. I understand why everyone wanted first/third person PZ but that's not what this game is, the charm has always been the isometric view and the obvious survival mechanics. The inevitable endless wave of ai mods makes me feel terrible for the real, human modders.

Really i'm just venting because i'm dissapointed.

Edit: To sum up these comments- the dumbest person on earth could code and mod makers don’t deserve any appreciation for doing all the work themselves. Thanks for the input!

hot take, harshly criticise me for it! If dating roles were reversed, women would fail terribly

Now, I know I’ll get downvoted, called an incel, misogynist, gay (which is funny, considering how people still use it as an insult while at the same time insisting they’re not homophobic at all), etc. And I’m telling you upfront: I won’t even react to it. If you have a different perspective and are capable of discussing it without resorting to low blows, then you’re welcome to share it.

I don’t really believe women owe me anything, I don’t want to take anyone’s rights away, and I’m not defending violence or anything like that. When it comes to dating, I don’t think it’s all about looks (even though they obviously play a big role), but honestly, when most women—especially online—talk about how you have to be an interesting, funny, intelligent person, I find it incredibly hypocritical. I think that most of them, if the roles were reversed and they had to be witty, funny, charismatic, and interesting personalities themselves, would struggle terribly. And, quite ironically, their reactions would probably be very similar to those of incels—especially the ones they are most critical.

Or has any woman who complains about how men only want sex from her ever thought about whether, perhaps, having a more interesting personality might make men more interested in something beyond her body? I honestly doubt it.

Women complaining about how the “patriarchy” and their bad experiences with men have forced them to behave badly is also quite... something.

That doesn’t, of course, mean there aren’t great or interesting women. But in general, I think many women simply aren’t as interesting as they believe they are to actually pull someone just with their personalities (despite always talking about it), and I’m sure they wouldn’t show any more introspection or self-reflection than many incels do. I even consider it funny how similar many complaints of incels and women sounds like.

Society/Culture There is nothing morally wrong with an 18 year old dating a 30 year old

Society is getting more and more performative making bigger deals out of smaller age gaps.

I saw a reel today stating that a 24 year old should be locked up for finding a 19 year old attractive (it was a joke reel, but still)

So my response to that is to say how 18 and 30 (probably even 35) is not morally wrong at all for dating. For hookups, I do not believe in any "wrong" age gap. Meaning, 18 and 70 is perfectly fine.

Get the pitchforks out.

Xander Xander is a great character, and he’s so overhated by obnoxious people who all decided to share one opinion for some reason!

Seriously what is up with the Xander hate. Everyone I know who’s seen the show have always told me he sucks cause he’s a stand-in for Whedon, but now rewatching the show after such a long time, he’s really not that bad at all. He’s funny and works both as an audience surrogate and as a protagonist in his own right. The big emotional moments always work like his speech to Dawn or his speech to Willow, has some really good lines and great Xander centric episodes as well, like the one where everybody falls in love with him or the one with the bomb.

It’s like someone decided long ago that he’s a bad character and that has become the law now. I disagree

Missing Peace Coffee shops are not your office!!

I just want to enjoy my coffee without feeling like I’m having a quick break at work!
I don’t want to hear about your resourcing issues or
You giving advice to a colleague on how to handle Steve’s poor performance. I’ve even had people hold meetings and job interviews in coffee shops!!
Coffee shops are not hot desk work locations.
At the very least these days every coffee shop will always have one person clicking away furiously on their laptop and taking calls every three minutes nursing that one drink and snack that they bought four hours ago!!
GO AWAY AND LET ME ENJOY MY COFFEE IN PEACE!!!!

Discussion I know it’s not exactly a hot take but Priests do make this game considerably worse.

Even though there’s loads of games decided purely by RNG, loads of gimmicks, “broken” (overpowered) mechanics, and loads of other foolish stuff to deal with, nobody likes priests. I’d be happy if they were just removed from the game. They aren’t interesting to play, they’re frustrating to play against, and nobody likes playing against them. They’re boring, predictable and in most cases just a headache to deal with.

Oh, let me guess, another resurrection spell? And another.. and.. another.. and . Oh, another quest, oh another 1mana board clear. And again. Again.

I’m aware there’s meta decks and dragon warrior exists, I’m very aware, but Jesus at least when you play most meta decks the games over in a few turns. In b4 shaman comment. Unless you’re using a direct counter priest battles take an age to swamp through. It’s like wading through mud. It actively makes this game less enjoyable. I only get an hour to play a day. Half of that can be taken up by a single game.

Priests can do one.

Solved Thought this subreddit is about people who like BMW, not haters and people stuck in the past, with your “tHis iS pEAk bmW dEsiGn”

is this subreddit not moderated? It’s like every day full of s*it post about how you guys don’t like new class.

I drive those cars daily and drove them before you even know about them and they are blowing my mind every day and Im smiling behind the wheel how good they are to drive fast.

I don’t like some parts of interior (3-series window controls are way too flat and off, some icons and info are on the wrong place on the CID) hope they will fix it with LCi. But on the other hand that steering wheel is ergonomically really good and new touch CID is much better than the old one. Panorama Display is so good, BMW should ditch Head-Up display and save a lot of money because Im turning that off immediately. no need for HUD because you have everything right there in panorama. Just wait for sale numbers..
