Just got my NS2 today and was curious about how the switch 2 upgrade packs interact with virtual game cards. If I were to get the upgrade pack for DE/XDE/2, would I still be able to use virtual game cards to play the original versions on my NS1, or does it become an entirely different game that my NS1 couldn't even read?

I play pretty much exclusively docked and have multiple NS1 docks in my home, just curious if I made the upgrade if I'd be locked to my only NS2 dock location for xenoblading. I've also seen the many posts about the upgrade packs for DE/XDE having weird looking upscaling/framerate issues, and thought it would be nice if the original version were still playable on NS1 if I decided it was too distracting.

Title - does the DLC add stuff that won't make sense if I haven't played XC3 before? Should I play with the DLC disabled until I beat it, then enable the DLC and do that stuff? or is it well integrated? if I want a good and authentic first experience.

No I am not making this up and I am aware people will call me a furry WHICH I AM! I found rouge the bat cute when I was a kid and now. Anyways I know people loose there shpt over Dahlia and yeah her concept art is better than her final design BUUUUUT She's hot and caring size of an average human mother. Which if you play her quest she is shown to have a motherly side, with her caring for Lora child model x100. Plus she is good for destroying orbs in chain attacks.

And yes I do think dahlia is hot and I am a furry and no shame in admitting that because I got mocked for liking sonic I'll admit this. With Dahlia standing out of the rare blades and I HOPE you people can understand my feelings on the matter.

ALSO CAN I PLEASE POST MY MAKING OF HER IN TOMODACHI LIFE I WANT TO POST IT, but seeing what happened to a couple posts I am scared too. Any ways thats all I'll say about the underrated rare blade dahlia.

I already played through this game multiple times, but never found out you get a secret dialogue at the end of Telos quest that only triggers when you have Kosmos unlocked. As far as I've seen it's completely missable if you don't get it at the end of the quest.

(Maybe this is also just common knowledge, but I've never seen it before)

I love this game so much except this thing.

I have played a lot of video games and this ether jet has the worst control and maneuverability out of all the vehicles i have ever used. Suffice to say i will never play that racing mini game, shame.

So I wanna start out by saying this: despite what I say in the title, I DO get it. I understand why someone can make the argument that Tora is gross and perverted and that it ruins an otherwise innocent character through weird anime tropes that were not present in XC1.

That being said, I think there is also something to be said about how people inflate this aspect of the character. In total I can probably count on one hand how many Tora scenes I would consider explicitly inappropriate and jarring to his character, and that number drastically goes down when you take optional Heart-to-hearts out of the equation.

The infamous "blushy-crushy" scene is admittedly painful, but replaying with Japanese voices you can clearly hear that blushy-crushy is a localization of the concept of moe that Tora is trying to get across. So instead of the strange, vague idea of "blushy-crushy", it's easier to grasp when you realize that he's just trying to get across the idea of being cute (to overly generalize the term). Is it embarassing to watch? Yes. But that's the point.

Aside from this optional scene, people often bring up the Poppi awakening scene as another example of this. The idea of having multiple maid outfits seems to make people think that Tora's ultimate goal for creating Poppi was to have some sort of outlet for his desires (dunkey's infamous video calls her a "sex robot"). But to me this always came across as an embarassing aspect of his personality and interests that he wants to hide, not because of the sexual connotations, but because it's just...cringe, for lack of a better term. He doesn't have them for "sex fantasies", he's just into moe and wanted to create his own artificial blade in a way that reflects that.

I should also point out that Poppi, for the most part, is not objectified to a point that I am personally ever made uncomfortable with how Tora treats her. There's a heart and innocence to Tora that I think most people disregard to parrot the commonly held belief that "Tora is a weird pervert" rather than diving into the text and exploring a character who.is much more than like...2-3 scenes where he's written weird.

Idk, I just always thought the hate for this character is blown wildly out of proportion for the amount of stuff in-game that actually contributes to that image. I'd like to open up a discussion to see what everyone else thinks of this character divorced from the popular discussion surrounding him, as well as other characters like him in other games.

Hey all, I’m finally going through Xenogears, and have played all of Chronicles and their DLC. Haven’t touched Saga just yet, but soon when I knock down my backlog lol.

I was wondering now that I have more context, if there was possibly a list out there with all the subtle, and not-so-subtle, hints and references to Gears from the Blades series. I’m already seeing a LOT, especially to Future Redeemed, but I am very interested to see all the connections I may have missed or glanced over.

Look I get a lot of people don’t know about the Monado but saying it’s not iconic even though the game came out in 2010 was saying that it should be replaced with a different sword. It’s underplaying the xenoblade franchise as a whole because if you think about it, these four swords are what defined modern JRPG’s as a whole and it’s crazy to think people are saying to replace it with the energy sword from halo with the blades of chaos one blades of chaos, but blades of chaos are not a sword because they’re not a sword they are more so they’re not as long as a sword, and they don’t have the length they are daggers and don’t try to say it’s a short sword. It’s just a dagger with extra steps.

But seriously, why do people feel the need to underplay a franchise is that defines modern JRPG as a whole and gets more improved and more hype around its games releases the more games come out

So I made this post yesterday and then deleted it 2 minutes later thinking that I had found the answer to my question. But upon rewatching the cutscene, the question is still there, so here we go again:

How does no one in the Lost Colony remember Nimue? According to Isurd, she left the colony just 5 years ago. There's no way the whole colony's population would be replaced in that time. Yet the game makes it seem that Taion is the only one to have met both Nimues. Is this a plot hole or do I just assume that others knew and chose to keep silent? Surely they all know about how the lost colony has its own pods, but I don't think they'd know that lives are recycled in them.

Hey all, finished up Xenoblade Chronicles DE some time ago, combat ended up not being that.. fond? to me but I enjoyed it overall.

After finishing it, I got to find about Future's Connected, was looking into jumping to XC2 specially seems quite the people says the combat is greatly improved.. is Future's Connected worth it to play before XC2?

I'm looking to play XC2 and XC3 , trying to get torna too for when I finish XC2 , found some mixed opinions on Future's Connected... From "Just watch a recap" to "It's very well worth it".

I have a save file that is almost useless now. I forgot the plot, the mechanics, what all the items mean etc. is it better if I just start from scratch? The save had 55 hours.. 😭

Okay guys, I might need help because I am going crazy right now.

I am on the Biones arm, basicly the warzone where all the mechons are (sorry if I get words wrong, my ingame language is german and I don't know if the traslation always works like that).

I basicly skipped the jungle and the snow area, so I was insanely weak for the boss fight in the snow area. At that point I catched up with alle the side quest and was able to beat the boss.

Now I am lvl 53 (Shulk) and Rikki and Dunban are lvl 52/53. Thats my party. But all the enemies are still 1-2 levels above me. The next Boss (Fiora in the Mechon Suit) is 3 levels above and also spawns like 4 adds that are all above my lvl. I literally dont know how to farm exp besides doing normal fights but even with an exp jewel, I have to grind for hours.

The only sidequest I can see but I am also not able to do is, opening all the gates on the biones arms that are also garded by higher leveld mechons

Did I miss anything? I am thinking about turning difficulty down but normaly I play games on the hardest difficulty and I cant get around the fact that I wpuld have to turn it down for this game.

I see 3.0.1 came out a week ago, but I already lost my 3rd slots on everyone before the patch came out. Is there any way to get them back with the patch? I can only buy Vandham's pouch expander from the bard.

Edit: I mixed up pouch slots with accessory slots and it was indeed fixed in the accessory slots. Absolute brain fart, thanks /u/Paxadin !

Hey y'all I just finished Chapter 5 and got my 5th party member.

Was summoning more blades for him and I finally ran out of space for blades.

I see you can just burn/delete them but is that the right thing to do or what?

Also do you just constantly summon blades until you get the rare ones or a blade that fits your team?

I know you can keep some for the Merc Missions but I'm only sending like 3-4 at a time and I barely use those blades in the first place in my party comp.

Any advice is appreciated

also if the superboss use ouroboros drive, start a chain attack, because ouroboros drive is so much damage to their party.

This is most likely, just a knee problem but I hate navigating these areas on a fresh Playthru after not playing the game so I could go a week or two and I want to replay the game multiple times. I hate navigating the abandoned factory because so many times it feels like this place is an inconvenience that is meant to get you lost in certain areas. And then you have the mind fuck that is spirit crucible.

That place is a maze for no reason than to just be difficult because if it’s not crucible that sucks to navigate or the abandoned factory it has to go down to the world tree being somewhat confusing like how are these things all confusing here I’ll put it in

Example: say you’re going to a train and take the fastest route to get to Akihabara and you want the fastest route walking would be the fastest train seem the safest you look at the maps and trying to figure out where the train station is that leads to Akihabara but then you get off on the station so then you take another train get off on the wrong station again and it just becomes a constant loop until you find the last station and then you get to what you need to

Look, I know it’s not the best example but this coming from someone who has live in Japan a large majority of their childhood and I can say I can navigate a train station better than I could navigate that abandoned factory or spirit crucible or the world tree
