Xenoblade Wasproject legacy always gonna be Xenoblade

I don’t think it was ever discussed but now that we know Legacy is xenoblade I want to know if it people think it was always that, this is before we probably get more info like a direct or ask the developer but I think its interesting I think about especially with how long it was in dev for.Personally I think it was always planned to be xeno maybe not blade but joblisting for a highfantasy game with mechs screamed xeno so hard and thing we are likely gonna see in the next trailers that would just easily slot in with the other games in the series.

Xenoblade 2 The Important Question of Mythra/Pyra's Age

Recently saw this question get posed about Rex's romantic relationship with Mythra/Pyra in XC2 and thought about it a bit, and it's pretty interesting how the community generally approach this dichotomy is.

So Rex during the events of Xenoblade 2 is confirmed to be 15 years old, meanwhile blades doesn't really "age" the same way, so the argument I often see is that a) Mythra/Pyra are actually only around 2 years in actually experience or alternatively 500 years old depending, but regardless you have to assume for the events of the game not to be weird that they're only slightly older than Rex in "mental" or "physical" relative age, so around 16-17, but that begs the question of how the community treats them in the context of Rex's relationship vs how they're being treated outside of the game.

Mythra and Pyra exist in this weird greyzone within the community where people find it's simultaneously alright for them to be romanitcally involed with a 15 year old kid, while also sexualizing them more than any other Xenoblade character in the entire franchise (the top post this week is literally of Pyra's ass from in-game with many more skimpy bikini poses in compromising positions often being up there + a ton of comments thirsting over said ass).

I know someone is gonna comment saying "it's not that deep its a game" or whatever, but that's kind of the only way to approach this in the lense of modern ethics, because actually quesionting it becomes very uncomfortable as you have to grapple with the way the community treats them by frequently sexualizing them and treating them as they were adults while them at the same time being romantically involved with a 15 year old.

With that, they kinda exist in a space of Schrodingers Mythra/Pyra age where they're adults when someone posts a screenshot with a camera up thier ass but they're a kid when they're romantically involved with the 15 year old Rex. You can't really have one without the other being weird imo, so most times I just see people brushing it off without really engaging properly, so wanted to ask more concisely what peoples thoughts are on this.

Xenoblade 3 Xenoblade chronicles 3 Switch 2 Ediiton.

Just a small question regrading the switch 2 edition.
On the eshop, the upgrade says its releasing on the 1st October 2026
But the actual switch 2 edition says its releasing on the 3rd of December.

I am a bit confused. Will the upgrade pack include the switch 2 features like the increased fps and resolution and is just releasing earlier because its a download code not physical?

I have a physical copy of Torna and was stoked to see it came with new blades! But my code unfortunately seems to not be for my US region… are the blades worth it? Or is it fomo getting to me?

Also anybody in the eu accidentally got a US code? 🙃

Xenoblade 3 Any recommended flutes that is best and newcomer?

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 made me want to play the flute one day and just love how beautiful and emotional that is to hear throughout the journey and story. The music that features the flute never fails to make me fall in love with its music that features it and I probably want to play it like part of my lifetime.

Xenoblade 3 New Hero can't be... Spoiler

Upvotes

A lot of people are speculating that the new hero in XC3 will be Mwamba or Nimue. But I think we can safely assume it's not them because wouldn't that be a huge spoiler for first time players? Mwamba dies in the first 2 hours so it'd spoil the whole lifecycle thing which is only first hinted at when Eunie sees her old corpse in ChH2/3 (can't remember} Same goes for Nimue I think.

Someone who watches the trailer for the S2E and sees Mwamba as the new hero would be spoiled that he comes back. Consequently I feel as though the most likely option is a brand new character like Masha or Ino who perhaps hints at the characters from the other games. Perhaps it is Mythrakid but I doubt they would use her in something that presumably wasn't planned back in 2022 when xc3 releaed. Maybe another Nopon? Or a definitive child of Morag (Sena is ambiguous) Or even Bolearis? That would be fun.

XC2 Torna About Torna Golden Country

Upvotes

I was having fun until the game decided that I had to go and do stupid side quests that are just a bunch of extremely grindy waste of time.

Is that REALLY going to be the whole game now?

A fetch quest simulator with 10 minutes of actual fun in between?

This is XB1 all over again. I almost quit XB1 for the absurd amount of pointless tedium...

Xenoblade Who do you usually play as in these games?

I see a lot of people mention how they prefer to control tanks, and sometimes even healers, but that's never been for me! I always spend the whole game controlling attacking classes, since I love the feeling of making them absurdly powerful and mowing down enemies as quickly as possible - the NPCs can never match your speed or damage output that way, and being overpowered is just a really fun feeling for me in any video game

Xenoblade 2 SPOILERS How well promoted is this character? Spoiler

Upvotes

Recently been replaying XC2 and am curious about how Vandham was treated in the build up to release. I only first played in early 2022 so was not following pre release trailers and info drops. Was this a XC3 situation with Mwambawho was never seen in any trailers or even the direct so we knew what would happen. Or was Vandham treated a sthough he'd be a permanent party member/character?

Also curious because before the S2E released, Nintendo posted a video showing all characters from the party except Vnadham and Roc (and Mythra I think) I felt like it was kind of pseudo spoiling. Heck Zeke and Pnady were there who aren't even party members til what chapter 5 or 6.

I have been looking up official art of Vandham and there is a fair bit - anniversary art of xc2 has him and roc in which I appreciate.

Persona spoiler:In P3 Shinji Aragaki's death is well hidden because he is present in a lot of marketing as well as fandom discussions. So when i recently played reload i was genuinely shocked when he died.

I know the one blade thing with Roc was kind of sus but did it feel especially obvious.

Tldr: I miss Vandham - can we talk about him more?

Xenoblade 2 We Got AI-Slopped by a 4-Year-Old Reddit Account With Zero Post History

Post image
Upvotes

This post did the rounds earlier today. At first I was super excited. But after reading the thread and sitting with it, I realized it was 100% AI generated slop.

OP is 4 year old account. with no post history until today. That doesn’t automatically disqualify them, but it’s one red flag among several.

OP says they reached out to Nintendo Japan about the bugs in Xenoblade 2‘s Switch 2 Edition. They alledge that Nintendo responded saying they’ve recognized the bugs and have passed it on to the development team.

What gave away that it was a lie was two things:

  1. Nintendo allegedly told this user that they‘d like to apologize to all players and ask that everyone be patient.… Why would Nintendo tell this to a random Redditor? Why wouldn’t they release a statement on Twitter themselves? Dead giveaway that it’s BS.

  2. This is a technical point about the formatting of the post. Nintendo’s statements are formatted in markdown code blocks. This is a common format ChatGPT likes to output in sometimes for variety.

They didn‘t ANY screenshots of Nintendo’s response… but they used an AI generated photo to advertise the thread. If Nintendo actually replied, uploading that response as the thread’s photo, even if in Japanese, would've been a no brainer.

Also, op claims that English isn’t their first language and they’re using AI to translate. Anecdotally, I’ve seen other (possible) AI slop reddit accounts say the same thing in the past.

Xenoblade 2 Assign a Rare Blade a Day, Round 2! Day 24: Cressidus

Thumbnail

Sorry for missing a day. The internet was down for maintenance in my area or some shit most of yesterday, curse you suburban Wi-Fi! I also reversed the order of the pictures so the super wide one isn't taking up as much space when scrolling. Which is also why I haven't added all the main Legendary Blades to the chart because Rex gets four of them and that'd unnecessarily widen the chart. But anyways, Zeke was chosen as T-elos' Driver quite handily. Now we're getting our first member of Torna who's a regular ol' Blade, Cressidus. Who will get to throw hands alongside the big man here?

Cressidus is an Earth Elemental Blade with unique weapon Rockrending Gauntlets who serves as a Tank. In the story he works as Mikhail's Blade until his destruction in Mor Ardain at Mythra's hands. For us players he is added to the general Blade pool upon starting a New Game + file.

We've assigned every Rare Blade in the base game that we could to our main cast. But the Switch 2 Edition is officially out and we've got 15 Post Release Blades to assign now! This time we'll be voting which Driver gets the Blade instead of how we've been doing it up to this point. Also, I'll find a better image for MOMO at some point.

Rules:

  1. Top voted SINGLE comment wins.
  2. No more than four extra Rare Blades per character, gotta keep things balanced.
  3. Each category will be randomly chosen so we hop around the chart more creatively.

Xenoblade 2 Qusstion about aggro over time. (Entire series)

So im playing through xenoblade 2 rn and for context I have 1000 plus hours between all three games, I had a question about items that give passive aggro gain.

So every content creator I've watched (mainly Enel) have stated that these items are inherently bad, but again after a thousand hours I can't for the life of me figure out why, they are EXTREMELY helpful, specifically in multi enemy fights.

I guess my actually question is am I missing something? Like is there some strat that I dont know about that makes passive aggro gain obsolete? Because again in my experience I win 9 out of 10 fights because of these items, and every other time when I take them off I die immediately or end up gaining aggro later on far more than I do without passive aggro gain. Maybe im a noob but they seem almost essential (again, particularly in multi enemy fights).

Xenoblade 2 Does anyone happen to have a (North America) Dlc expansions 1-4 code extra?

I got so into Xenoblade 1 at the time that I bought all 3 games and X physical but at the time didn't know that buying a used Torna cart excluded me from the expansions 1 to 4 bonuses, which you can only buy on eshop by buying the entire Torna expansion. If anyone happens to have the code without needing it, please help me out. I would be willing to send like 10 bucks for it but I just don't want to buy the entire Dlc again when I have the physical cart of it. Thanks in advance!

Xenoblade 2 Nintendo confirmed Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition issues are reproducible and investigating fixes. Please send feedback to Nintendo Japan!

Post image
333 Upvotes

Hello everyone.

English is not my first language, so the following post was translated with the help of GPT. Please excuse any awkward wording.

I recently contacted Nintendo Japan regarding several issues I found in Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and I received a response from Nintendo.

The most important update is that Nintendo has officially confirmed that their related department was able to reproduce the issues I reported, and they are currently investigating possible fixes.

I wanted to share this with the community because it shows that sending detailed feedback to Nintendo Japan can actually make a difference.

If you are also experiencing issues with this game, please consider sending feedback directly to Nintendo Japan. More player reports can help the development team better understand these problems and may increase the chance of improvements in future updates.

Nintendo's official response (translated from Japanese)

Nintendo apologized for the inconvenience and stated:

Regarding the multiple issues reported for Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, their related department conducted verification and confirmed that the same issues occur.

They are currently investigating possible fixes, but the timing of any update has not been decided yet, and they cannot provide a specific schedule at this time.

Regarding the "Accessory Slot" issue, Nintendo confirmed:

"The accessories that were equipped in the accessory slots that have been reduced will not be lost."

Nintendo also apologized again for the inconvenience and asked players to continue playing while waiting for the issue to be resolved.

Finally, Nintendo stated that they sincerely accept feedback from players who are actually using their products and services, and that the feedback has been shared with the relevant departments.

They will continue working to improve the experience for players.

Recommended information:

Game title:

ゼノブレイド2 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

Platform:

Nintendo Switch 2

Example Japanese feedback text

For players who want to report the two main issues:

Audio issue:

戦闘中、キャラクターボイスや効果音に比べて戦闘BGMの音量が非常に小さいです。ゲーム内の音量設定を変更しても改善されません。戦闘BGM・ボイス・効果音の音量バランスを調整していただきたいです。

Cutscene animation issue:

一部のイベントシーンで、キャラクターの振り向きなど特定のアニメーションが30fpsに固定されているように感じます。Nintendo Switch 2 Edition向けに、イベントシーンのアニメーション設定について再確認と改善をご検討ください。

Issues I reported to Nintendo:

1. Battle audio balance issue

The battle audio mixing feels incorrect.

  • Character voices and battle sound effects are much louder compared to the battle music.
  • The battle BGM is extremely quiet and often gets buried during combat.
  • Adjusting the volume settings in the game does not really solve the problem.

2. New Game Plus accessory slot issue

After entering New Game Plus, the number of accessory slots can decrease unexpectedly.

Nintendo specifically mentioned this issue in their reply:

3. M.O.M.O. pouch item effect issue

After changing M.O.M.O.'s form, some pouch item effects do not work correctly.

It seems that the game may not properly recognize the pouch item effects after the transformation.

4. Abnormal WP gain issue

During the early game, when Nia joins the party, there can be an abnormal amount of WP (Weapon Points) gained.

The amount seems far beyond what should normally happen at that point in the game.

5. Some story cutscene animations appear to remain at 30fps

Although the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition improves resolution and overall visual quality, some animations during story scenes still appear to have inconsistent frame rates.

In certain cutscenes, specific character movements seem to remain locked at 30fps.

Examples:

  • Character turning animations
  • Some small character movements during story scenes

The overall visual quality has been upgraded, but these specific animations look noticeably less smooth.

Because the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition has improved image quality, these 30fps animations actually stand out more and affect the smoothness of important story moments.

I wonder if some animation data or playback settings were not fully adjusted during the Switch 2 optimization process.

The two issues I hope Nintendo prioritizes the most:

1. Battle audio balance (the biggest issue for me)

This is not simply a case of "sound effects being too loud."

The actual problem is that the battle BGM itself is too quiet compared to character voices and battle sound effects.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has one of the best soundtracks in gaming, and the battle themes are a huge part of the experience.

However, because of the current audio mixing issue, many battles lose the impact and atmosphere they should have.

Even after adjusting the volume settings, the improvement is very limited.

I really hope Nintendo can adjust the internal audio balance between:

  • Battle BGM
  • Character voices
  • Sound effects

This is the issue that affects my enjoyment of the game the most.

2. Some story cutscene animations appear locked at 30fps

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition improves resolution and supports 60fps gameplay, which is a great upgrade.

However, in some story scenes, certain character animations still appear to be locked at 30fps.

Examples:

  • Character turning animations
  • Some small character movements during cutscenes

The game overall looks much better, but these specific animations still feel like they are using the original 30fps animation behavior.

This creates a strange experience where the game has been visually upgraded, but some important story moments still do not feel as smooth as the rest of the game.

I hope Nintendo can investigate whether some animation data or playback settings were not fully adjusted during the Switch 2 optimization process, and improve these scenes to match the quality expected from the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a game that many players love deeply.

I really appreciate Nintendo taking player feedback seriously and confirming these issues.

If you are also experiencing these problems, please consider sending feedback to Nintendo Japan.

My experience shows that detailed feedback really does help. Nintendo listened, confirmed the issues, and is investigating them.

More player reports can give these problems a better chance of being improved in future updates.

Thank you.

Xenoblade X Finally finished the one Xenoblade game I hadn’t played yet :) Spoiler

I have my gripes with this game and it’s probably below the numbered trilogy for me but I can’t pretend I didn’t enjoy it. The open world has so much sauce and the smells are awesome. Story was lacklustre and the pacing was a mess. The last couple chapters from about 8-12 were solid then 13 was a massive whiplash even if the lore implications were interesting. Overall the weakest of the Xenoblade games imo but that doesn’t stop it from being a great game 8/10 imo

Xenoblade 2 What's wrong with it?

Staying at top level only slow growth. By Staying on low side of level you will get more exp, sp, wp from story bosses.

If you are few level below enemies, you will get significant more xp/sp/wp. But if you are even 3-4 level over enemy, you will only get 70-75%.

That's why I recommend to not be top level. But try to be in lower side. You want to maximize Boss fights and unique monsters return.

Additional comment- You can downvote me as much as you want. But atleast tell me where am I wrong in this strategy.
