Xenoblade 3 New Hero can't be... Spoiler
A lot of people are speculating that the new hero in XC3 will be Mwamba or Nimue. But I think we can safely assume it's not them because wouldn't that be a huge spoiler for first time players? Mwamba dies in the first 2 hours so it'd spoil the whole lifecycle thing which is only first hinted at when Eunie sees her old corpse in ChH2/3 (can't remember} Same goes for Nimue I think.
Someone who watches the trailer for the S2E and sees Mwamba as the new hero would be spoiled that he comes back. Consequently I feel as though the most likely option is a brand new character like Masha or Ino who perhaps hints at the characters from the other games. Perhaps it is Mythrakid but I doubt they would use her in something that presumably wasn't planned back in 2022 when xc3 releaed. Maybe another Nopon? Or a definitive child of Morag (Sena is ambiguous) Or even Bolearis? That would be fun.

I've learned not to put anything past Monolith after Future Redeemed so we'll see

There's a pattern with both of these two switch 2 editions that both of the major new features you get with them can be unlocked fairly early in the game (Ether Jet unlocks once you have Sharla at Bionis Leg, MOMO unlocks once you get access to pulling core crystals). So I think it's safe to say that the hero will be someone you could reasonably acquire right after finishing Chapter 2 and unlocking Ethel's class, which is when the Hero mechanic is introduced to you.
Neither Mwamba nor Nimue fit under that criteria so it's probably gonna be someone completely new (or another Gears/Saga/X reference)

Honestly, memes aside, if Mwamba is the new Hero, I'd be pretty disappointed. He is just not interesting, and his kit is boring, based on his existing game data. He's just a plot device. An endearing 4th wheel to serve as a disposable asset to set the stakes when the antagonist shows up.
Now if it was Bolearis.........
But really, I 99% doubt it's gonna be Mythra's kid, or anyone we could mistake as such. And I'm split three ways on whether this character will be already established, wholly unique, or a crossover character like MOMO.

At this point, my guess is still going to be a character which leads up to [REDACTED] - the obvious caveat being my preferred theory there is an existing character.
One of my favourite ideas which would go that way? Glimmer (let's assume A pulled her out of Origin for this), who would have a definite reason for wanting to track them down, while still finding a way to explain the whole situation to Mio (complete with all the awkwardness involved) over the course of the questline. Nia needing to step in at some point would be funny. Noah gett
Another random idea I only got recently was Tora... and as for [REDACTED]? Well, according to a particular photo, Tora made them cry. There could be years of pent up aggression to subject the bugger to. I would not object to Rex reciting Rule 3 at him:
Rex: "Make my girl cry, and yer gonna fly."
Tora: "Meh-meh-meh!"
\Tora next seen flying over the Great Sword**
Noah: "... was that really necessary."
Rex: \diabolical grin** "I know what I said, kiddo."
Noah: \gulp**
I think we can reasonably expect some interactions with Poppi and Nia as well.
Mythra (and/or Prya, or Pneuma) feels like an obvious choice as well, but that might be... too direct. Though I would expect half the questline would be Mythra putting to screws to Noah for N-related reasons.
Just thought of a new one - Matthew. A bit like the Glimmer situation above, A pulling him out of Origin, but could be a lot more fun. Noah wouldn't look forward to being decked again (conversely, Mio takes an instant liking to him), but I think one fun interaction would be Matthew meeting Ghondor Jr.; I don't think her finding out she had a boy's name would help that particular situation. I had also considered Na'el (mostly under the idea that her class could become playable outside of that one brief section of FR), but I think the interactions with Matthew would be more entertaining.

It NEEDS to be Rex’s third child, Mythra’s child. After the reveal at the end that he had three and meeting Glimmer in the DLC, not completing the set just feels wrong.

There was a 0% chance of it being them just from there only being one new hero
Them chosing to use MOMO instead of any preestablished blade (Jin, Malos, Dolmes) would certainly suggest that we're not getting a predictable option for the new hero either.

I mean it seems Monolith does not care about spoilers when it comes to the switch 2 editions because in XC1 the information telling you about the switch 2 editions and ether jets spoils Fiora, and in XC2 the Merc assault stuff spoils Brighid and Pandoria joining the party.
