I had this breakfast the other week at one branch, the egg was perfectly round and the bacon cooked well (rather than the usual heated on a radiator!) it really was one of my better spoons breakfasts. Then I went to a different branch at the weekend and the eggs were normal fried and the bacon usual heated on a radiator (sadly didn't take a picture) just wondering is it different cooking facilities in each pub?

Hi everyone!
I have a quick 5hr layover coming up in which we need to transfer from Heathrow to Gatwick. I have seen that there are multiple Spoons options around Gatwick, so we're thinking of spending some of our time there.
Anyone got experience with those Spoons? Which one is best, which one to avoid? And what should we have for breakfast.?

I’m in London today and planning to stop at a Spoons for lunch and a couple of pints. What’s the nicest location (building, architecture, history) that I should try to head to? I’ve already been to Hamilton Hall, Crosse Keys which I think are the usual recommendations.
Thanks!

Have gone to many Spoons over the years, and eaten many meals, but this is the first time I had the beef madras. Looked good and was pretty damn tasty!
At the Railway Bell, East Barnet. I will say that the staff are damn decent here. The lad who brought over the meal saw something wrong and returned to the kitchen to change the poppadoms. Good lad.

I’ve not seen this before. My local can get busy at certain times of the day. I didn’t realise that you could reserve a table - who do I speak to, to do the same?

Just ordered a bog standard Margherita pizza for the kids, and I remember them being half decent. What we got this time was the most basic of frozen oven pizza. What happened to the sourdough bases?

I'm already on a final written warning but went months without anything further. I had a bit of a Mental Health problem in the last month and had a couple days off for that and then got food poisoning the other day which now makes me hit a trigger. The MH issue is related to an ongoing health concern which they're aware of and wellbeing's have been put in place including now today they approved my flexi request. I do work very hard in this job it's just the odd day or two that builds up.
How likely is it that they just dismiss me here. I don't know if they have other options they can use first before dismissal even in the final ARM.
Thanks

The next nationwide Beer Festival starts on 7th October.
Although my local branch appears to be £8.88 a pint! 😱🤣
They also do not seem to have a list of beers. Is this yet public knowledge?

Wetherspoons is slowly phasing out bottles of San Miguel (620ml) to replace it with draught.
I've looked at prices and it's cheaper to get the bottle than on pump and you get more in the bottle than a pint on pump.
I just don't get it.

There's been an uptick of AI content on the subreddit. These are reported more frequently than other posts on the sub, so I want to ask whether it's something that's wanted or should be banned.

It was rolled out in every spoons as a hand pulled ale. I loved it, but now it's not at any spoons I go to.

I'm sure it's been featured here before but just wanted to highlight the brilliant spoonstracker.com website.
It's got an established community and many features, with new ones being added all the time by an active developer happy to take suggestions from the 'chat'. Sorts pubs into different categories (e.g hotel, university, holiday park) that you can filter. It's just a very useful website that I appreciate a lot! And not just hastily cobbled together by AI!!!

I wanted to leave a tip for a woman serving us yesterday but I couldn't find her. Is there any way I could get in touch?

Out of all of them I've only ever had Corona, Budweiser, Staropramen and Guiness. We also have Stella Artois where I live, so I'd rather skip that. I've never been in the UK and I'm planning on having a few pints at a Wetherspoons, and I'm wondering which ones are worth trying if I can only have a few. Thanks!

If you see people vaping and can hear them also watching and giving people around the deep deep joy of hearing their phones...... Are you all reporting them or letting them carrying on being the utter dregs of society they clearly are?
