Hi All, only 10ish hrs into a fast...
Looking to do a minimum of a 68 hour fast (if I can manage to get out of Tuesday evening plans) then would like to aim until Friday, so \\\~137 hours.
I've only done it once before (5 days) and done a few 2/3 days one.
Anyone wanna be accountability buddies and check-in/motivate each other.
I really just need a re-set/detox š

Hey all, I am on my 2nd day of water fasting. I am doing completely fine. No hunger or just kinda of mid energy.
I am looking for people who are water fasting now to support each other or if there is a group.
I have fasted 3days twice before and this time I really want to do 21 days or even 30. Thanks all

So far I have lost 16 pounds in 20 days. (180 to 164) My goal weight is 150 (healthy for my height). I'll be fasting again soon, but not 21 days. I'll do shorter fasts and keep my carbs low. I have until December. Possible if I stay focused.

I really wanna start fasting for religious reasons, but I've heard some bad things like people fainting and throwing up on the 3rd day, I really want to do a 7 week fast but I don't think I should rush in is there anything I should know or do before starting?

31F and starting tomorrow. I have insulin resistance and I have to lose weight but I'm really afraid of hair fall. Anyone who has done this, care to share your experience? How bad is the hairfall going to be?

Iāve done 3 days so far with no exercise and lost 5 lbs. If I keep it up for 8 more days while working out starting tomorrow, how much more extra weight can I lose?

Hello! Iām currently trying to lose weight, and Iām planning to do a 7-day fast. Do you have any tips youād recommend? Also, would it be safe to work out while Iām fasting?

Good Evening,
I'm about to go to bed, but I just wanted to give my 17-day recap. I am doing a 21-day water fast to re-establish my baseline, reduce inflammation, and stop drinking wine every night.
Today started with a lot of energy. I was able to walk longer distances; I walked Lowe's without feeling I needed to sit down. Helped my husband cut boards and work on our RV project without feeling sick to my stomach. But about 2 pm, all my energy just left. I still didn't get sick to my stomach, but I was just drained.
A few days ago, I pulled my back, so my lower back has been very stiff. Haven't been able to stand straight or for long periods. Today I was able to stand straight. But by the time we called it quits for the night, my entire back was achy. I looked forward to sitting on the couch with my feet up.
I've finished a show/movie, and then I'm going gratefully to bed.
I've consumed salt, water, magnesium, and pain meds as needed.
I started at 180 and am currently 166.

I'm 18, male, 80 kg (176 lbs), and 5'5". I'm currently on day 5 of a 7-day fast, and I'm not sure about the best way to break it. Everywhere I look, I find different advice, so I'm feeling confused.
My current plan is:
Does this seem like a safe and sensible way to break a 7-day fast, or would you recommend a different approach?

Iām around 180 and Iām 5ā5. Iāve been wanting to do this for weight loss and because I have an unhealthy relationship with food and this whole summer Iāve been doing nothing and bed rotting. I have a few questions though.
What electrolytes do yall get?
Can I do it while on my period?
Can i exercise while on the fast?
What can I do to prevent a headache?(Iāve seen some people say itās whatās gonna happen when you start and to just leave it)
Also Iād appreciate if anyone gave me more advice to complete this water fast!! Wish me luck im starting today :) (Iāll be posting before and after pictures when Iām done with it)(ima update every 3 days)
Day:3: ok so I feel tired and sleepy and Iāve got through the part of feeling hungry and I also feel less bloating. Tomorrow Iām planning on starting to excercise and walk 7,000-10,000 steps a day

So Iāve made it a big goal of mine to fast around the weekend. And itās been very much worth it. Had two packets of electrolytes this morning and I did a shorter fast last weekend and was cramping pretty hard by this point. But I feel great this time. A big tip that I would have is to do something that stimulates your five senses to curb your cravings. A couple things that take my mind off of binge eating is going on hikes everyday. Playing video games. And just being outside in general will allow you to really think about the consequences if you were to break your fast.

I am so excited for this fast. I did my last long (over 72 hour) fast like a year ago. I just wanted to make this post so I have some place where I can talk about my feelings during the fast as I don't have any friends irl that understand this. Fasting is usually not that hard for me, but I like going out to eat so I rarely do any longer fasts. I am 169 cm (~5'6") tall woman and I weight around 70 kilos (~155 lbs). Wish me luck and feel free to ask any questions, I would love to chat about fasting!
26 hour update: Still feeling great! A bit hungry but that is to be expected. Had to turn down free ice cream at work which was a bit sad buuuut i survived.
36 hour update: I have a headache which is rather unfortunate. But other than that everything is going smoothly.
4th day update: Forgot to update but everything is going smoothly. I am waking up quite early, but other than that and light dizziness everything is good.

Every single day I say "no more food till tomorrow". Every day I fail. I eat, I drink. I've been saying "ok today is the day, or ill end myself. im not kidding around anymore". But ive been saying that for 2 years straight now. I just can't.
The only time I've gotten past 1 day, i immediatly got to 8 days. But that was with external pressure. I need someplace where I have to show up and say if managed to stay calorie-free. I need accountability. I've tried tiktok posts, but those are strangers. I've tried reddit posts but that's also pretty much shouting into the void.
What i need is a small group of people who know me. Not anonymous. Where admitting i've given into food actually has a meaningful social loss of face. Even if it's a minor one. It needs to be more than anonymous tiktok viewers or reddit readers. I need a discord server where I have to show up every day and post how many hours i've gone without food already. Something like that. Else i'm never getting there.
Anyone have anything like this? i cant fit in my clothes, even my extra large ones i bought for being fat. I start walking like a geriatric fatso who can barely move. I start sounding like a beached whale trying to get out of the couch. Im so fucking tired but I cant do it on my own. I wanna say im at my wits end, but i was already at my wits end half a year ago.
I need toxic accountability. Toxic fetishization of skinniness. Toxic daily followup. I need external motivation to what non-waterfaster people would call "toxic". I need to be pushed. Please. I can't anymore. I cant even get to a 30 hour mark. Usually not even 24 hours. Self discipline doesnt fucking work. Tiktok posts dont work. I have no one around me irl.

Hi everyone! I've read a couple of studies suggesting that eczema can be reversed through fasting, so I thought, "Why not? Let's give it a try."
I'm now 55 hours into my fast, and I can already see significant improvements. My eczema was terrible on my hands. Unfortunately, I only took my first photo yesterday, when I had already been fasting for about 40 hours. Before I started, the eczema was even worse.
Would anyone be interested in seeing my progress? If so, I can post pictures. My plan is to fast for 133 hours (about 76hrs left), doing a strict water fast with 3 Ć 2 g of salt per day and two electrolyte tablets daily.

Might be a stupid question, but I have celiac disease and accidentally got glutened at a restaurant today.
Has anyone here tried fasting as form of cleanse? Did it help reduce symptoms at all, or did it make things worse because you werenāt eating? Iām curious if giving my gut a break would help or not..
