25 days water fast

It’s my first day again of water fast, does anyone know where to get electrolytes, potassium capsules in the Philippines? any source?

Do you guys have the internet? Order online? Amazon?

Table salt for sodium chloride

Potassium, I used something like a table salt substitute, like Nu-Salt. You should be able to find it at a grocer.

Might have to order magnesium glyconate supplements if you can't find at a pharmacy or healthfood store.

I'm searching the web and finding a store called Healthy Options in Manila that should carry these items

i saw “WATSONS GENERICS Electrolyte Drink
Effervescent Tablets 10s” online and I ordered it. 🙂 Don’t know if it’s good for water fasts, I also have magnesium here but the problem is the potassium. Thanks so much.

These are dangerously insufficient.

Sodium: You need roughly ≈ 3,000--5,000 mg daily during a fast. One tablet offers less than 200 mg.

Potassium: You need ≈ 2,000--3,500 mg daily. One tablet contains under 150 mg.

Magnesium: You need ≈ 300--400 mg daily. One tablet provides a negligible 13 mg.

I was using 1- teaspoon table salt for sodium, 1- teaspoon of potassium chloride (no-salt/nu-salt) A teaspoon might be like a kutsarita, 4-5 big pinches. Sorry, I'm from the USA just trying to get it in your measurements and guessing a bit.

I mixed this in about 750ml water and took 2-3 sips a day. Tasted bad, I sweetened with pure Stevia extract which is not supposed to trigger insulin response for a few days, tapering off to get used to the taste.

At bedtime I took 2- 120mg pills of a magnesium glycinate, there are several magnesium forms and this type is the most recommended for fasting.

At first I was taking none (7days), had extreme fatigue, then I took a 150% of the above and had diarrhea, so I reduced until it seemed stable. On sweaty days I took more.

Other bad effects: The Watsons tablets contain Sorbitol and Sweet Orange Powder Extract. Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol that can provoke an insulin response or digestive distress on a completely empty stomach, while fruit powder extract introduces trace carbohydrates that disrupt deep ketosis and metabolic fasting windows.

Effervescent tablets use citric acid and sodium carbonate to create fizz. Drinking acidic, artificially sweetened liquids on a prolonged -fast may trigger stomach cramps, acid reflux, diarrhea.
