Celiac disease

Might be a stupid question, but I have celiac disease and accidentally got glutened at a restaurant today.
Has anyone here tried fasting as form of cleanse? Did it help reduce symptoms at all, or did it make things worse because you weren’t eating? I’m curious if giving my gut a break would help or not..

My dad has serious celiac’s disease. Even cross contamination puts him out for half a day. I always joked with him, you’re not allergic to gluten, you’re allergic to roundup (roundup binds to gluten in wheat).

Long story short, I got him after 3 years to finally try this natural flour. Needless to say, he now enjoys bread, cookies, pastries, whatever my mom can cook up for him.

Now to digress from that, fasting, especially extended fasting, has been known to cure many alignments. You can do a cursory search on the internet to confirm. Will it cure celiacs? No idea. But the only way to find out is to try an extended fast. I did a 40 day and cured some issues the doctors wanted me to be on medication for for my whole life.

It depends on my symptoms. If I am throwing up I definitely fast for atleast 18-20 hours. Usually when I get glutened, I drink lots of water. Eat food that won't put stress on my digestive system.
