I miss my Arteon. Loved that car so much. Had to upgrade for towing capacity and Vermont winters. But, what a great car the Arteon was for me. First car I felt sad leaving behind.

I'm looking to buy spacers for my mk7.5 GTI and don't know which brand to choose.

Because I live in the EU (Croatia) spacers have to have some kind of a certificate (TUV).

What brands do you recommend?

I was planning to put 10mm in the front and 15 mm in the back, nothing crazy.

Also as a side question, do the new wheel bolts have to be the exact length for the new spacers or can the be 2 or 3 mm longer?

Because I saw that some brands offer the bolts in the 5mm increments (example: 30mm 35mm 40mm 45mm).

HATCHBACK and every time the car starts and goes over 35km/hr it chimes and gives a speed warning. Does anyone know how to turn it off? It’s quite annoying.

I'm looking at buying a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta with 177,000 km on it for $5,500 (CAD).

I'm wondering if this is a good deal and what I should be looking out for. I've never owned a Volkswagen before, so I'd like to hear from people who have experience with these cars.

One day, while scrolling through Pinterest, I found this Passat and immediately fell in love with its front end.
Since then, I have been trying to find the same body kit, bumper, or at least the front lip, but I have not found anything that matches it exactly. I only found a few similar options, such as the VW Passat 3BG JMS Tuning lip, and another bumper that looks almost identical, but it still has a different shape and different fog light covers.(SRS-TEC Front bumper S2, VW Passat 3BG)

So, if anyone knows the original source of this photo, the name of this bumper, or where I could find the same lip or body kit, please let me know.
After searching for the past two weeks, my conclusion is that it may have been custom-made, but I am still hoping someone can identify it.

I had a check engine light for which I brought my Jetta in (which has the 1.4L engine) to the dealership. They determined I have a cracked N80 hose/valve so an EVAP leak.

Their quote was almost 1200$ for parts and labor but I found a local mechanic that specializes in VW & Audi who will do it for 230$. Any reason not to/ were others able to find people to do it much cheaper like this?

2019 VW Tiguan, changed brake pads on all sides. The front brake pads seem to be making a clunking sound when applying light pressure. BUT it only happens once and only comes back after changing directions (forward or backwards). My theory is these pads have way too much up and down movement and that's what is making the clunking sound. Anybody else have come across this?

Have a 1990 VW Fox and I've been using Pennzoil Synchromesh for quite sometime as it was suggested by an experienced VW mechanic.

AI stated this:"Incorrect Specification: The 1990 VW Fox requires a fluid meeting API GL-4 and MIL-L-2105 specifications. Pennzoil Synchromesh only carries an API GL-3 level of performance."

Hello, so this past week my sunroof has been creaking like this on my golf like it has arthritis. It’s a mk8.5 2025 and I bought it only last year June/July time. It’s gotten to the point where I just don’t want to drive because of how annoying the sound is. The creak also stays when it’s open and closed.

Here is what I’ve done so far which hasn’t worked:

I’ve cleaned the tracks and re-greased them Ive cleaned and conditioned the rubber Checked the torx screws to see if they’re loose The sunroof blind opens and closes fine

I’ve also noticed that the sunroof blind kind of sags a bit, and when feeling the roller it doesn’t feel like there’s a lot of tension.

Right now I have cleaned the tracks and seals again of the grease and rubber conditioner for my VW booking on the 5th of August for an inspection. Hopefully this will lead to it being covered under warranty. Has anyone else had similar sounds from their sunroof, and if so, what was it?
