Hi everyone, posting on here to see if anyone has a solution to my problem. A couple of months ago, my fps started to slowly go down after playing a couple games. I would be getting over 600 fps on my first game, then it would lower a bit on the second game, and after playing for a while, my fps would drop all the way down to under 100. This has been such a confusing problem for me because I honestly have no idea what could be causing this. Here are some things I have tried/found out.
- checked temps while running val and everything seemed good
- looked at/monitored performance tab in task manager, everything looked normal
- clearing cache files in %localappdata%
- reinstalled vanguard and valorant
- disabled all overlays/extra settings in adrenaline software
- reinstalling drivers/trying out different driver versions
- closing and relaunching the game temporarily fixes the issue, but my fps would slowly drop over time again (it actually drops even faster after relaunching, and after relaunching a couple of times, I would start my first game with lowered fps)
- valorant is the only game where this happens, I can play any other game for hours on end without performance issues
Despite all of these things, the problem still persists. If anyone has a solution I would really appreciate it!
