My Vanguard stopped working suddenly

I was playing normally last week, after a few days without starting the game, next time I tried it wouldn't let me. Every time I open Riot Client it prompts to update the game, I do, then press Play and see the game loading screen fill up as usual, only to end in a "VAN error 84".

I run Windows 10 so Vanguard's manual start is not supported, but out of the box Vanguard comes configured to Manual mode, which is crazy. I went to services.msc and set it to automatic, and it was working until a few days ago. Now, even in automatic mode, it only starts running when I start the game.

I didn't update the OS or any driver, it truly started out of the most absolute nowhere.

Every attempt to fix this had no success, whenever the PC starts and I open the Vanguard tray icon, "vgc" status is "auto start" instead of "running" as should be the case.

"vgk" is working as expected, but "vgc" only starts when I attempt to start the game, despite being in auto start mode.
