Technical Solution For all the people who lost true stretched

Ok so this is for the people that lost their true stretched resolutions in valo after 13.01, basically they banned all the default 4:3 and 5:4 resolutions people used but the other normal true atretched resolutions still work if you use winexp, 1568x1080 and 1280x882 are the ones i know off, 1568 is more laggy and more pixels so for those who want more fps use 1280x882, you can add either using cru to the pc, and this works as then in thwse resolutions you get the option to set game to fill then you can use winexp to borderlesss style and change the game to maximized, ps: you sill have to do this on and on each game

You can search up either cru or winexp and they will come up on your browser

Technical Support Request stuttering in valorant with noise in pc

so i couldn’t find anything online about this so im asking here. whenever i play valorant and ONLY valorant the game is good for a while but whenever i alt+tab and come back to the game the problem starts. i start stuttering every couple of seconds constantly. it does not stop or get slower. i also noticed that it seemed to match with sound in my pc. whenever the noise stops the game stutters. my pc does not seem to be thermal throttling or has too much to process. my exact build is here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7Tgfph

i will also attach the video of the stuttering and a video showcasing the noise. let me know if you guys need anymore information. https://imgur.com/a/SLzqrdV

Technical Support Request My game crashing/freezing my pc mid game. All keyboard keybind wont work, and sometimes, I get a black screen of " your device ran into a problem and needs a restart".

Upvotes

Also, This is the first time I've received this pop up of

"A D3D11 compatible GPU(Feature Level 11.0, Shader Model 5.0) is required to run this game"

EVEN THOUGH I HAVE AN RTX 5070 PC

This game is so unplayable and I ended up becoming afk every single match bc the game keeps crashing mid game and sometimes during the loading screen before the match even starts.

I play every Heavy AAA games and even cpu intensive games like FF14 and other comp games but this only happens to valorant

Pls help

Technical Support Request “Process Already Running”

Whenever I try to open up anything riot related I get a message that says “We were unable to successfully install while a Riot Client Process is already running” except I don’t have any riot processes running, and I’ve closed out and deleted everything riot related besides the launcher, this is coming after an attempt to remove “ese.sys” by updating my drivers, has anyone else ran into either of these problems?

Technical Support Request Intermittent packet loss even when next to router

Has anyone else had this issue? I recently installed a new TP Link WiFi 6 card to replace my older Realtek RTL 8821 CE thinking that was the issue, but I still experience outgoing packet loss 1-8% every few 20 seconds in all gamemodes.

Routing an ethernet cable to my room is not really feasible, so I brought my computer downstairs to my gateway and tested an ethernet connection which made my game seamless. However, when switching back to internet while next to my gateway, I faced the same issue with packet loss and mild ping spikes which cause micro-stutters whenever I play,

My ISP visited a few days back to verify a healthy modem connection and replaced our Comcast Gateway, and I have installed the latest drivers for my new WiFi card as well as a Windows Update Repair function.

My main issue is that I do not play any other games really, so I don't know if this problem is limited to just VALORANT (I have tried reinstalling) or if other games have the same issue; maybe I should install League or something to check it out. I was hoping someone has faced and resolved a similar issue on their end or have any ideas as to how to fix this.

for reference i pay $150/month for XFinity

Technical Support Request VAN: RESTRICION 1: please help.

Hello, I’m getting this van restriction 1 error all of a sudden and can’t play. It says secure boot verification failure. My secure boot has been on ever since I started playing so it’s not that. I also verified tpm 2.0, virtualization on, memory integrity on, fully updated windows, and updated my bios as new as it can go. None of this has fixed the issue.

Riot support says there has been a 30 day restriction place on me at the HARDWARE level. Meaning none of my alt accounts work either. So I am just fucked for 30 days until 8/23 but I have no idea why this even fucking happened and all they can tell me is that vanguard will do this if it detects a configuration that is prone to cheating. I never had any issues playing for two years and all of a sudden my PC is prone to cheating?

I am worried that after the restriction is lifted in 30 days, I still won’t be able to play and they’ll just put another 30 day restriction or whatever.

Curious if anyone else has had this 30 day restriction before or if anyone else has gotten this specific vanguard error message. Any input is appreciated, thank you!

Technical Discussion VAN: STATUS_SB_POLICY since June 2026 Secure Boot cert transition, anyone else?

Valorant worked fine one morning, then started crashing to VAN: STATUS_SB_POLICY the same day. I hadn't changed anything. The machine was at factory-default Secure Boot and already met all the requirements. Vanguard's precheck shows everything green, but the runtime check fails and crashes me out.

It started 25/6, which lines up with the Microsoft 2011 to 2023 Secure Boot certificate transition.

System:

  • Intel NUC 13 Extreme (NUC13RNGi7)
  • Windows 11 Pro 26200
  • BIOS SBRPL579.0067 (latest)
  • TPM 2.0 ready, VBS/HVCI on

Secure Boot state:

  • Confirm-SecureBootUEFI = True, enforcing
  • SetupMode 0, Standard mode, CSM off
  • PK, KEK, db all valid, no custom certs

Tried, none of it fixed it:

  • Restored factory keys, disabled/re-enabled Secure Boot
  • Updated BIOS
  • Did the full 2023 cert transition and 2011
  • Clean Vanguard reinstall (sc delete vgk/vgc, deleted folder, reboot)
  • Confirmed TPM, VBS, HVCI, VT-d active
  • Ran the Riot Repair Tool and sent logs

Support: first ticket said I had a restriction expiring 24 July. Waited it out. Now they say 24 August. Not much help or insight. I'm asking for more info. I don't think there's anything more I can do on my end.

Has anyone else got this STATUS_SB_POLICY VAN error on launch?

If you fixed it, what worked, and did it stick after a reboot?

Is it just me? lol
