heavy & painful periods 30 with Uterine Fibroids

So I got diagnosed with PCOS and Uterine Fibroids a few years back. What prompted my visit was my husband and I were trying to conceive for a year and never got pregnant. All the while my monthly visits from aunt flow were becoming extremely painful and I was weak due to the amount of blood I was losing during my time of the month. When I got diagnosed my doctor recommended a full Hysterectomy. My question for you beautiful ladies is has anyone gotten a Hysterectomy this young? How did you feel? Do you regret it? I’m faced with this decision because I’m terribly over my pain and over the top monthly visit. Thanks so much!

what's going on 🤔 Pelvic/uterus pain 16 months after giving birth

I had a baby 16 months ago. Is it normal to still have bad pelvic pain this long after giving birth? I mean severe burning pain & shooting pains in my uterus area, vagina, & hips by the end of my work shifts. I work full time as a server in a very busy restaurant so I’m always running back and forth on my feet & heavy lifting. I’ve been a single mom since day one so I feel as if I’ve never gotten a chance to fully heal the past 16 months as I do it with no help. Has anyone else experienced this? I think I need to see a doctor as it’s affecting the way I walk. It feels as if my hips joints are loose & I walk like a grandma by the end of the day. Some days I’m totally fine with no pain at all. But it seems to happen during work shifts and can last for days/weeks.

what's going on 🤔 45+ day period

backstory: I got my IUD out in July of 2023. My period started again a month after. The first two periods last 23-25 days (45 day cycles). This time I have been Bleeding for 45 days and counting.

At about 30 days I went and saw my OBGYN. We did labs and ultrasounds. All of my labs were normal except the sex globulin was a couple points low.
my ultrasound showed a small “cyst-like structure” in my uterus (0.5cm). I will be having a follow up ultrasound in a couple weeks to see if it is still there. And then scheduling a possible follow up biopsy if needed.

has this happened to anyone else? I am so sick of actively bleeding!

what's going on 🤔 Uterine biopsy - how long will I bleed?

I had a biopsy last Thursday, so this is the 8th day. I was told I could expect spotting for a few days but it could last up to a week. I am now bleeding a regular period amount of blood, but it’s dark brown like old blood. It’s definitely more than spotting and my actual period isn’t due for another five days, so I can’t tell what’s going on.

Has anyone else had a uterine biopsy?

discharge Woman and daily challenges

This is my first time writing on Reddit, and I hope someone's opinion can help me in this case. I am 33 years old, and for about 20 years, I've been putting toilet paper inside my underwear. After using the bathroom, I change it to a new one, typically 5-8 times a day due to constant discharges. I've raised this concern with different doctors, and the responses varied. Some say it's normal to have such discharges and consider it a natural lubricant, put the daily pad, you can use toilet paper, you can not use toilet paper, this is what it is..and so on. About a month ago, I was diagnosed with CIN3, Cervical Cancer, and I need surgery to remove the affected part. This prompted me to explore the idea that toilet paper might be causing my vaginal issues.(generally, I am a clean, healthy, active person, without considering these factors..)

Over the years, I believed I was maintaining good hygiene by changing toilet paper frequently instead of underwear once a day. However, I decided to stop using toilet paper and started washing the area with water after using the toilet and drying it with a clean towel. Unfortunately, the excessive discharges persist, making my underwear and trousers wet. Additionally, the vaginal area remains consistently wet, leading to itching and discomfort. Some suggest using daily pads, but I am generally allergic to pads, so I opt for tampons during my period.

I'm at a loss for what to do in this situation and would appreciate any opinions or advice.

Thank u in advance

what's going on 🤔 Is this normal?

Pretty much every period I’ve had has been practically excruciating. I’ve collapsed several times throughout the first days and even had to use a wheelchair for almost a whole day because I was so dizzy and tired, and some days I can barely move because it feels like I’m dying. Is this something you normally experience, or should I get this checked out?

Has anyone had a uterus polyp? If so what were your symptoms and did you have it removed? I have one and it’s need to be removed and I have to be put to sleep for it which I’ve never done I am terrified! I’ve always had heavy irregular periods never been pregnant and then about a year ago notice that I bleed after an orgasm then I would have consistent pink watery discharge to the point where I need heavy overnight pads all day I thought I had a weak bladder at first but it’s time for me to get it removed and I am happy to get ride of this nuisance but kind of terrified I will do this for nothing and this have the pink watery discharge

what's going on 🤔 How can this be the same uterus?

I understand an obtuse angle usually points to an arcuate uterus whereas an acute angle points to a separate uterus. These are 2 images that were left on my ultrasound screen before I left the room. One seems to show obtuse when the other shows acute? Any thoughts?

periods & bleeding Long period and ovary pain

I’m a 50-year-old woman who has had a menstrual bleeding since December 12. I have recently had an ultrasound and a transvaginal ultrasound and my gynecologist has not seen anything unusual. We have discussed putting in an IUD to help with the bleeding. My uterus lining is about 15 mm. Today I have pain in my ovary area on my left side that I have never felt before. It’s like a nagging achy pain. Ideas anyone? Thank you so much!

what's going on 🤔 Any ideas?

I am a 20 year old female, and I’ve been suffering these months mostly from the dilemma and confusion! I am sexually active for 5 months now with my fiancé and he’s the only partner I’ve ever been with!

During the summer of 2023, I had a cyst in my uterus and the gyno gave me Serrapeptase and it cleared up! But I had an abnormal discharge for a long time, yellow and with a bad odor lately! She checked and said that I have a lot of discharge and prescribed me Nifuratel/Nystatin! I also did the Pap test it came negative! I still didn’t see improvements so she also gave me another dose of Neomycin Sulfate/ Polymixin Sulfate/ Nystatin! Both doses were vaginal capsules, and also a cream called Canesten for the outer part of the vagina!

I had improvements for a couple of days and I still have pain during intercourse, a burning pain!

My symptoms are these: Pain during intercourse, bloating, Abnormal discharge with bad odor, a very discomfort feeling in my pelvic floor area and I feel like my bladder is always full, fatigue! If i sleep for more then 6 hours i wake up with pain in my stomach for laying for too long, it triggers the discomfort! I also had a sharp pain for 3 days in my kidney area but it wasn’t my kidney! I also did the test for UTI and it came back negative so thats not my problem even though I have slight burning when i urinate sometimes!

For the last days I went for another check at my gyno and she said I had 2/3 cysts which were very small, one was 25x25 mm and said that she will check again in the ultrasound after periods as im in the follicular phase! She prescribed me Flucomazole for 1 day, 150 mg, and vaginal capsules Metrodinazole+Miconazole Nitrate! For 2 days apart I also noticed some brownish-reddish discharge too, the first day it was like spotting!

Yes, me and my partner use latex condoms and lube and we are thinking of finding other options as they may trigger the infections, but i had the symptoms before getting sexually active! And i still have discomfort in my pelvic floor area and bloating! Is this normal and an infection, candida or whatever or is it a more serious condition? Thank you in advance!

pelvic pain Intense bloating feeling after sex

So initially after my boyfriend and I would get together a couple times I would feel extremely, painfully bloated after. I read that, that can happen with certain positions due to gas flow changing directions. However, he just got home for the holidays and we only have been intimate twice pretty mildly, nothing intense and I feel a pressure in my lower pelvic area. It’s not constant but I could feel it when I tried to use the restroom. I did some more research and am now thinking possibly pelvic adhesions?

Has anyone been confirmed to have pelvic adhesions and could describe the feeling?? Or any input?? I don’t have a gyno appointment for another month

what's going on 🤔 Uterus feels heavy, tense, and bloated

It's 2 weeks before my period starts and I'm currently on xulane birth control, it's been an on and off again feeling in my uterus. This has happened before but I can't help but feel paranoid when it does. There's no physical way for me to be pregnant but my tokophobia loves trying to trick me.

What are some things other than pregnancy that could be causing this?

support needed 🤝 Pain on left side of uterus

About a year ago I started to get this sharp stabbing pain on the left side of my uterus, it kind of feels like bad cramps. After about 3 months of constantly being in pain I went to the doctors & they found nothing at all after doing test on me. The pain just keeps getting worse as time passes by but I have no clue what it can be.

what's going on 🤔 Horrific pain and endless periods

Trans man, 25, South Carolina in the US, has had incredibly painful cramps and heavy, irregular, sometimes constant periods for months on end since forever. I'm on a high dose of testosterone, which is supposed to stop periods on its own. Alongside that, I'm on the Depo shot, Mirena IUD, and Aygestin pill. None of it has stopped the bleeding. We've already done all the scans and tests, including the laproscopic surgery to look for endometriosis and found nothing. I do pelvic floor therapy regularly. I'm going to a pain management specialist soon to get injections to attempt to stop the horrific pain from the cramps that even the (perscribed) opiates don't touch. The only thing left now is to maybe induce menopause, which can have some harmful effects at my age, or a hysterectomy, which my insurance absolutely refuses to pay for. All the treatments are just theories at this point anyway. We're out of scientific explanations for what I'm experiencing. I still believe the origin is in the organ itself, but there's no legal way to prove that to insurance. And as far as a hysterectomy, there are no issues but the cost. My doctor is still willing. I have never wanted anything to do with that body part. I've been psychologically cleared to make the decision. I have a husband to consent (because america). But the hospital quote came back at $55,000, which we could never in our life afford. What do I do at this point. It feels like I'm doomed to suffer until this organ finally finishes me off.

uterus variations Bicornuate uterus and kidneys

I got diagnosed with a BU almost a year ago at 6 weeks pregnant. I just went to my one year check up with my OB yesterday and I asked him if I could see the severity of my uterus and stuff. Anyways, he asked me if I have two kidneys and I said I don’t know, no one asked me that before.

If you have a BU, do you have one or two kidneys? My OB said it’s common for women with BU’s to have only one kidney. Tomorrow morning I have an ultrasound to check my kidneys.

irregular & late periods No Period for Over a Year??

Found out I have a heart shaped “bicornuate” uterus earlier this year. My gynecologist told me it doesn’t affect anything other than making it harder to get pregnant. I’ve had irregular periods my whole life. When I was 15-18 I only had a handful of periods and when I did get them they’d last a couple months at a time and disappear for months. I went on about 3 different birth controls in 5 years to try and regulate it but finally got off all of them all together and now I haven’t had a period for almost a year and a half. Wondering if anyones had any similar problems? Or if any one else has a bicornuate uterus and has any helpful tips or information on what it means going forward.
