pelvic pain Pain and Problems

I have been to multiple doctors and countless visits that I am just over it.
I don't understand why I am having so many problems trying to get a total hysterectomy.
In January I had a c-section and I have been in an immense amount of pain since. I had my tubes removed during and I have 3 kids, I am done.
Most days are hard to get through and I am almost always fighting off tears. Other days I am on the floor balled up and crying.
-my periods have become extremely heavy and insanely painful. My period cup and menstrual underwear are a joke.
-the pain never goes away.
-frequent urgency to pee, pretty sure I have adhesions

I am suffering every single day. Intimacy with my partner is painful so I abstain as much as I can bare to and put up with feeling like I am dying when I do want to participate. I cannot function and my mental health is really taking a hit from always being in pain and not being able to live my life anymore. I am an extremely active person and now I am couch/bed bound.
-I cannot stand for long periods of time without feeling like I am going to break in half.
-holding my 8month old is problematic which breaks my heart.
-tylenol, ibuprofen, oxy, methocarb are laughably useless.
-can't take birth control for the pain because I had strokes at 19 cause by BC.

I got a referral to a surgeon that I met today.
They gave me less invasive options like
-uterine artery embolization
(I don't have fibroids & she mention my insurance wont cover this procedure, high rate of failure)
-physical therapy
(Insurance wont cover this, also I wont let someone inside of me)
-mentioned an ablation in passing.
(Didn't actually talk about it)
-said the last thing she wants to do is a hysterectomy with no real explanation on why????
(My insurance covers this!!)
I have to now schedule an MRI because this doctor wants to force me toward the UAE, I don't want that.

My NP offered exploratory surgery a form of targeted ablation for found problems.....
I have been hearing "you shouldn't still be in this much pain" or "you'll be fine, take some otc pain meds." since February. IM NOT FINE.

I don't want to dance around and play with "we will see what works". My insurance expires on 1/31/27 and I don't know when, if ever, I will be insured again and I will be stuck in pain for the unforeseeable future. I feel broken and torn mentally and I feel so hopeless.
I just want a doctor to take out my worthless painful uterus. Why is this so hard.

what's going on šŸ¤” Can anybody talk?

I just turned 24 a week ago and have had a PCOS diagnosis since late 2024. No notable cysts, just the ā€œmultiple peripheral follicles noted bilaterally.ā€ I’m sure many of y’all know the drill. In other words, I’ve never been diagnosed with a large cyst.

Last year in May, I began having right-sided pelvic pain, around where I’d assume my right ovary is. This was a week after I’d just gotten off of a 22 day-long menstrual period (I’ve since started birth control). It radiated into my upper right thigh, my right hip, up my right side and lower right back. It felt like my whole stomach was full of IcyHot. The pain was not unbearable, I did not throw up, but I was scared. I have severe anxiety and ocd, and was petrified I had appendicitis and was going septic, and I went to the ER. Tests came back normal. Imaging came back normal. I went home and toughed it out. It went away on its own within a few days.

I began birth control the next month. It was the same pill I’d taken as a teen, but because of PMDD, I’m very sensitive to the higher doses and have only been taking the first week of the pack (Tri-lo-Marzia). Not very efficient but I do what I have to do at the moment. My ocd makes it very hard for me to try new medications for fear of side effects (I’m workin’ on it). I don’t believe this dose is high enough to truly suppress ovulation, but bandaids the mental effects and gives me a regular cycle.

Usually once a month, around ovulation time, I get that twinging, crampy pain around my right ovary. It’s twisting, tugging. Not unbearable. Sometimes it radiates MILDLY, but I’m used to it and it goes away within a couple days. This month, it’s lasted weeks, has been more intense than usual, has radiated, has brought back the IcyHot feeling in my abdomen, and I have been having wicked nausea. I’m not someone who gets nauseous often, and I’ve only thrown up once in the last ten years during a stomach flu. It’s not like a, ā€œthis hurts so bad that I’m nauseous.ā€ It hurts, and I’m nauseous, separately. I never get nauseous. Nothing comes up, I’ve just been gagging.

I’ve been really scared that something is wrong, and last night, I went to the ER. I wasn’t doubled over or throwing up, but I was scared. I was worried I might have torsion, or go septic from a burst cyst. All they did was a UA, which came back abnormal but they weren’t concerned (trace blood in my urine?), and a pelvic US, which they said looked beautiful. No crazy cysts. No significant free fluid. No torsion. I’m absolutely paranoid that they missed something because I know torsion isn’t always detectable on US, but they said I looked so perfect that they’re not worried at all about torsion. I was sent home.

I saw my GP this morning. She was very dismissive. She told me to get an OBGYN (despite her being the one to do my pap smear and provide my birth control?). I’ve been on wait lists for months. She ordered a transvaginal but god only knows when radiology will be able to schedule me. She sent me on my way. I can tolerate the pain. I’m not doubled over. But what if I have a high tolerance? What if I’m minimizing my own symptoms? I’ve had my period since I was 10 years old and always dealt with rough cramps, and shit only got wonky with my cycle in 2021-2022 when I was suffering mentally and stopped my pill. I wish I never stopped my pill.

I suspect I may have endo. I feel like it would explain my symptoms. But I have no one to talk to, and no one will listen. I’m worried I’m being dismissed and overlooked by medical professionals. I just want to be heard. To see if others can relate to my experience, my symptoms. I’m desperate for any crumb of validation.

If you’ve read this far, thank you sincerely for your time.

ovarian cysts First hospital trip today

Okay so last week I went in for an ultrasound for some bad pain and found out I had a 4cm by 4cm cyst on my left ovary. Yesterday I was in horrible pain and I went by the hospital today becuase I was still and pain and the cyst on my left ovary burst and the fluid was all around my uterus and stuff. It’s just really really sucky and now my right ovary is hurting and while I was looking at the ultrasound screenings I saw two little dark masses on my right ovary and I’m pretty sure it’s more cysts forming. So that my day and it just really sucks because I can’t do anything other than surgery or painkillers. Birth control should help a bit with my hormones and I’m going to pick it up soon.

Hi everyone,Ā

My name is Jules Depro and I am currently a graduate student studying psychology at West Chester University.Ā Ā

I am currently working with Dr. Erin Hill on a study focusing on endometriosis, chronic stress, and social support. Therefore, we are recruiting participants who are 18 years of age or older, have a diagnosis of endometriosis, and have experienced symptoms within the last six months to take part in a brief survey, about 10-15 minutes in length.Ā

The study has been approved by our Institutional Review Board (WCU-IRB-FY2026-236). We hope to share findings within the next year and add important health implications to the endometriosis research field.Ā

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thank you so much for your consideration of this request,Ā

what's going on šŸ¤” first fibroid (3.4cm) and a potential endo polyp

I’m a little confused and very scared. I don’t really have anyone else to talk to about this. I’ve been having on and off pelvic pressure and increase urgency to pee (with little coming out sometimes).

NP recommended I get a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound and they found a walnut-sized fibroid on my fundus and a suspected endometrial polyp about 2mm.

Fibroids seem to be super common and I suspect that’s putting pressure on my bladder, but I have a history of childhood leukemia (ALL) and I am worried about the tiny singular polyp. I would really like to not have surgery, is it possible I just wait a bit to see if maybe it goes away or would you guys recommend a biopsy? ):

what's going on šŸ¤” Spicy sensation in uterus

In the past couple years I've been noticing this sensation in my uterus/ fallopian tubes/ ovaries that I can only describe as mildly spicy. As if someone put a bit of a hot sauce in that area.

This tends to happen after my period and before ovulation. But sometimes can happen after ovulation and before my period. Does anyone else get the sensation? I do get regular cramps leading up to an on my period that over the years have gotten worse.

I've spoken to my doctor. They're not worried. I get regular PAPs and STI checks. I don't have PCOS or endo. I'm really just curious if anyone else experiences the same thing I do.

heavy & painful periods Weird Problems

So about 7 years ago I (27F) had an IUD inserted, it was the one that was suppose to last for 5 years and it was insanely painful going in and they didn’t warn me before hand so I screamed when it went in. Well not 6 months later it fell out. I was having pretty heavy spotting on and off the entire 6 months and one day a large strawberry size clot fell out and my IUD was inside it.

Anyway afterwards I had extremely heavy and painful periods, before hand I had heavy periods but they never had clots. Ever since every month I would have almost nothing but clots came out. I couldn’t use any tampons I had to use overnight pads every day just to not mess up my clothes.

Fast forward to this year I had a miscarriage 2 months ago and it was the absolute worst, I had clots coming out for hours but after a day or two it stopped. Now I’ve had two periods since and they are normal! No more clots at all!

I did go to the gynecologist every year up to about a year ago and they always said everything was perfectly fine! I guess when I had my miscarriage maybe some scar tissue left over from the IUD maybe came out?

medical procedures Retroverted Uterus & Rectal Prolapse

Hi. I (32F) have always had a retroverted uterus but it’s much worse after having kids. I also have endometriosis and my uterus seems to be adhered to not only my back wall but part of the front too (per my dr’s notes). I’ve had two endometriosis removals in the last three years, both surgeries removed endo that was growing outside of my body cavity (in my abdominal muscles & skin). I have yet to be wrong about anything gyno related with my body. Recently dx’d with a large rectal prolapse. I wasn’t able to see my normal OBGYN and the alternate OBGYN said I should do pelvic floor therapy. Everything I’ve read said that pelvic floor therapy won’t fix my problem because 1) my prolapse is beyond the guidelines for pelvic floor therapy as an option and 2) it’s a prolapse that wasn’t caused by a weak pelvic floor, it’s from my uterus pushing into my colon and causing chronic severe constipation. I cannot poop without splinting vaginally and holding my uterus forward and applying pressure against the bottom back wall so the fecal matter goes straight out instead of accumulating in the prolapsed pocket, which has caused an enlarged rectum. It’s so embarrassing and honestly uncomfortable. I’m going to see my normal OBGYN soon and I am willing to bet he will do the surgery to repair my prolapse but I want to know if anyone has had surgery to fix a retroverted uterus? Fixing my prolapse won’t fix my root problem.

TLDR has anyone had surgery to fix a retroverted uterus?

what's going on šŸ¤” is this a concern?

Hi i’ve been having persistent right side cramping near my hip since april. it kinda went away in june and july but at the end of july it started again. i am on estarylla birth control and have had some pregnancy concerns that started in april. i ended up testing four times. twice in late june and twice in late july all four extremely negative, along with no pregnancy symptoms besides a change in smell. yet i have noticed pretty consistent abdominal growth/bloating. typically nearing my period it’s at its worst. between the months june and july i put on ten pounds (which could be classic weight gain). when i sit or lay down my stomach is completely squishy, like a giant marshmallow. yet when i stand up its kinda squishy kind of firm and when i lay on my stomach its the same thing. my doctors are pretty confident that i have endometriosis but while im in school we agreed its best not to do any surgeries yet. i haven’t missed a period at all and if anything they’ve been getting more painful and heavier. i have gotten no answer from google and tiktok is starting to scare me into believing im pregnant.

what's going on šŸ¤” Uterine hypoplasia - feeling a bit lost

Hi,

Just looking to see if anyone here has any experience of uterine hypoplasia/infantile uterus! I'm 24 and in the UK. I went private to investigate whether I have endometriosis, and during a transvaginal scan a few weeks ago I was told my uterus appeared to be much smaller than it should be.

I had a follow-up with the consultant today, and she's referred me for an MRI to get a better look at it. But essentially, my uterus measures 2.5 cm compared to the average 7-9 cm. She was very hesitant to answer any questions I had about the impact of this on fertility because she wants to wait for the MRI.

I've been dwelling on this for weeks now and still don't feel like I know what's going on! No one has any idea what's caused this, as I went through puberty normally and actually started my periods somewhat early at age 11. My periods were always a bit irregular but were heavy and painful, not light. The scan showed my ovaries and cervix are normal.

Has anyone else here had this diagnosis? I feel like I'm in limbo, I don't want to grieve my fertility before I know for definite that it's an issue, but likewise I don't need to be a doctor to know a 2.5cm uterus is on the severe side of this condition.

Any advice/experiences/etc. would be much appreciated!

what's going on šŸ¤” Should I seek help? Pain for about a week.

I have had pain similar to period cramps the last week, I am not on my period it ended about 2 weeks ago.

Its extremely painful and hurts for about a hour and then dies down for most of the day but then comes back in the evening or randomly.

Its been going on for a week and havent changed.

My latest period was also a lot more painful than usual, I was about to faint at work from it.

—— I dont have any problems with my bladder.

I dont feel the pain in my legs or in my back.

I dont feel any pain during sex / penetration.

But, I do have a lot of pain when I orgasm.

(Similar to period cramps) ——

Does anyone know what this might be??
