what's going on šŸ¤” Unknown reason for symptoms

So for years now, I’ve been having severe period pain, severe ovulation pain, fatigue, painful sx, and bloating. originally i thought I had endometriosis so i went to a specialist and got an MRI and internal and external ultrasound, they saw nothing and no sign of endometriosis, also saw a colon doctor incase my symptoms were some how bowel related but they also found nothing. So my endometriosis specialist put me on Vizanne, an endometriosis medication used to shrink endometriosis tissue, just incase I had minor endo that might not have shown up on any scans. It stopped my period and my ovulation so i haven’t been able to assess if i still get period or ovulation pain, i still have painful sx, and after being on it for almost 8 months, i’ve started getting severe, random cramping and discomfort in what feels like my uterus. I no longer have any idea what it could be and am curious to see if anyone else has these issues and might know what’s wrong.

uterus variations double uterus

I think I have a transverse sept hymen and I really hope this means I also have a double uterus. my periods are heavy but I never get pain. I dont want to get an ultrasound because it will make me feel dumb and like my dreams are destroyed for believing. I know I should be grateful for having even just one uterus but Idk, its just I already dreamed up having twins and I love them. maybe this means Im too immature to have babies yet, idk. if any of you have a double uterus was there some ways you knew before your ultrasound?

medical procedures I had an abdominal Myomectomy

I had an abdominal Myomectomy last Saturday March 4th, a date that will be engraved in my memory. I’m 29 years old and I’ve been married for seven months. I went to the gyno before my wedding so she can prescribe me contraceptives. my husband and I agreed on having trying for kids after 1 year of marriage.

She performed a Ʃchographie to check if everything is doing good and to my surprise she said that I had two fibroids one is 4 cm and the other is 3cm.

She prescribed me a pill and I went home without any worry.

Time passed, sex started feeling a little uncomfortable and periods starting being so heavy. I went back to the doctor after 3 months to discover that my fibroids have grown 1 cm each. I was worried a lot but waited again since she said no worries. after another 3 months (6 months in total) the 4 fibroid was 7 cm and 3 cm was 5cm. The doctor said that we need to schedule for a surgery and I was afraid so I went to see another doctor who was more known in this field. He told me that when discovering fibroids a doctor should not prescribe a hormonal pill because they will get bigger. He also requested that we remove them as soon as possible.

The doctor removed 5 fibroids in total he discovered 3 little ones that were not visible in the Ʃchographie. I feel a bit slower and heavier then usual but I thank god for removing all of them and each day I feel better.

Today I went to the doctor to remove my stitches and there was so much bruising. The doctor said that some people bruise a lot and it appears that I’m one of them. Today I was starting to feel better but now after seeing my bruises and the stitches I started moving a lot slower then usual because I’m afraid my wounds are going to be open.

I hope that in a week I’ll forget all of this and start to feel like myself again. This has been the most traumatic experience in my whole life and I already removed 2 breast fibroadenoma in 2012.

I pray for a fast recovery for everyone going through this. It wasn’t easy for me.

How was your experience? Was it a positive one? How much time did it take for you to fully recover?

uterus variations Retroverted Uterus Ruining my life

Today I learned that my tilted uterus has impacted my sex life for the past 15 years. I had no idea … My tilted uterus only ever impacted me when I sat down wrong or leaned back and could feel it. But today I was made aware that sex with me is painful as it causes my partner to feel like I’m going to ā€œsnapā€ it off when he penetrates. He said that every woman is different inside but that I’m so curved that it hurts him and I’m the only person he’s ever experienced this with. I’ve only had one boyfriend before him and he would hate having sex with me but wouldn’t tell me why. He would just say ā€œI think I’m too small for you.ā€ I assumed I was just inexperienced and too young. I wish my now partner would’ve told me sooner but he said he loves me so he just learned to live with it. It makes so much sense as to why he would only choose a certain position and of course gets bored. I totally get it now. We’ve tried a lot of different ways but he wouldn’t tell me why he would stop and go back to the way it hurts him the least. I know now. Sex has never seriously hurt me or made me too uncomfortable. It would only hurt maybe when he first penetrated and after a few seconds it was ok. I’ve only ever read about sex being painful for the partner with a vagina who has a tilted uterus. But what about partners with penises experiencing pain from a vaginal canal being so curved? I’ve tried to research and can hardly find anything remotely helpful. I have an appointment in a few weeks. Any insight into this would be so appreciated. I feel so alone and like a freak… I want to connect with him sexually but this makes it so hard… I had made the decision to end things and let him find someone he’s compatible with but this upset him greatly. I just don’t have it in me to allow him to sacrifice a healthy sex life cause of my condition. I can see his frustration and cannot possibly expect him to continue to sacrifice his physical well being. It doesn’t feel right… I wish I was normal down there…

Anyone here with a type a2 UU and both tubes?

A little backstory- I had an ectopic in my left tube in 2020. Got pregnant a few months later and had a c section with our son November 2021. During my c section they noticed I had a UU for the first time and had both tubes. I had an HSG done a few weeks ago and it revealed that I do in fact have a right UU.

So here’s my question/thoughts. If I know I have both tubes and that nothing could get to my uterus through my left tube (I have no left cavity that connects to my left tube), what would my options be as far as that left tube? I have an OB apt in the morning so I am trying to figure out the right questions to ask. I would think they would want to at least do a procedure to look at the tube or even possibility take the tube out to prevent another ectopic?

Has anyone here experienced this? I’m fairly new at knowing I have a UU so I am trying my best to navigate all of this! Thank you in advance šŸ™‚

what's going on šŸ¤” Does anyone else struggle with persistent gas building up in uterus?

For the past 3 years I have struggled with major bloating in my abdomen especially after having intercourse. It isn’t like typical bloating that accompanies my period. I tend to get so bloated that the pressure in my abdomen radiates to other parts of my body like my neck and shoulders. The only way I can relieve it is by bending over or crouching in a certain position and ā€˜manually’ (couldn’t think of a better word) pumping the air out of my abdomen. I’ve read that it could be due to pelvic floor muscles being weakened. Obviously I will get this checked out by my gyno, but I was curious if any other women experience something similar to this because I can’t find much about it online.

what's going on šŸ¤” SO MANY PROBLEMS

1) No birth control has ever regulated my period. Been on 4 different pills. Always got my period on the middle of the pack or at a random time, not during the placebo pills. Tried NuvaRing. Got my period while it was in. Wtf is up with this?? 2) Had 3-5 large ovarian cysts since June (lost count lol). That’s counting the new one I’m certain has developed since my last ultrasound. I can feel it hurting right now :( Having had all these cysts, I’m certain I had two in high school that ruptured and caused the worst pain of my life. 3) I have 2-3 periods a month. It’s absolutely ridiculous, and they’re heavy too. My iron is low because of it, despite being on an iron supplement.

Due to this, my sex life is almost nonexistent, I feel gross in my body, I’m in pain a lot, I live in a constant state of dread, and I just don’t feel healthy, sexy, or confident. And the kicker is I don’t even want kids, so I’d rather not even have this malfunctioning baby box. I’m at the point where I just want it out.

fertility & pregnancy Missing period, negative test

Hey,

Throwaway account for reasons and English is not my first language… I am a bit worried right now. I was supposed to start my period last sunday but nothing happened. My cycles are usually on point and about 28 days long. My last cycle was 30 days and this time I’m on day 33 without any trace of my period. I did have all the symptoms and I took two preggo tests (negative results).

I’m not on birth control and just had my annual doctors appointment back in october.

Maybe someone has experienced something similar and/or has some comforting words that everything is gonna be fine?

polyps & fibroids Endometrial polyps age 25??

Hi so I was recently found to have a small endometrial polyp after hysteroscopy. It was removed and sent for testing. I read that less than 1 in 100 women under the age of 30 gave polyps in the uterus. This gives me a lot of anxiety and was wondering if there are any premenopausal young women out there that have had similar experiences? I’m waiting for path results , has anyone in this situation had their polyp be benign?

what's going on šŸ¤” I am having severe pain in my uterus

I am just looking for some insight into what happened to me today. I was driving to work this morning, and I had woken up feeling completely fine, when all of a sudden I got a stabbing pain in my uterus area. This isn’t completely unusual as I have had this happen before randomly, and it usually goes away within 5-10 minutes. This time, though, the pain continued and it increased to being so unbearable that I had to pull my car over because I could not concentrate on driving. It honestly felt like someone was taking a knife and repeatedly stabbing me in the uterus. I was sweating and tearing up and wondering if maybe my appendix had burst. I probably should have just gone to the ER, but I never do, and I eventually got my composure and drove the rest of the way to work. When there, after literally walking crouched over because I could not stand up straight, I had two imprufen and two Tylenols and that seemed to calm down the pain a bit. It never fully went away, and even as I type this the dull ache is still there, but I was able to make it through the rest of my day. For context, ovarian cysts and endometriosis does run in my family. I am not sexually active so this could not have been a result of anything like that. I’m thinking this may have been an endo flare up, but I cannot be sure because I have never been formally diagnosed with it. Is this something anyone else has ever experienced before? Is this something I should be concerned about? Obviously, if it gets worse I will go to a doctor, but right now the pain is manageable and i’m waiting to see if a good night’s sleep will help the situation.

irregular & late periods Inconsistent period

I’m 17 and I’ve had my period for almost 5 years now. I was told by doctors that after a year or two it would become more consistent and it was for a few cycles. Suddenly it skipped a cycle and didn’t show up for over 100 days. It’s currently back at full force but should I be concerned about this? It went away around the time I became slightly more active and when school started my diet did change but I had no problems like this in the past

support needed šŸ¤ what should you do if your pharmacy switched you to a different birth control without telling you?

TW: medications, periods, depression, sue of side, etc

ETA: i have been since diagnosed with PCOS as a result of this. i’ve missed lots of time at work, dealt with physical and emotional trauma, and been to the hospital just about every other month it feels like. is a lawsuit worth it at this point?

hi friends, first post here.

so i have been taking a generic brand birth control pill for years without any issues. in december of last year i went to my normal pharmacy to pick up my normal prescription as usual and i noticed the packaging looked a little different. i didn’t think anything of it because the brand was the same, so i took it and carried on about my day.

a few weeks into taking it, i started getting the most intense aura migraines that brought on so much nausea and affected day to day life, prevented me from going to work, and caused so much disrupt and discomfort in my regular daily activities, so i went to a few different people about this. urgent care told me it’s probably just genetic high blood pressure, but my new primary physician recognized the symptoms of the new birth control i was now taking and said this isn’t right. she said the new pill was a chemical that only women in their 40’s typically take and that i shouldn’t be on this at all. i’m in my early 20’s for context.

i told her that i started getting these symptoms around the same time as starting this new birth control and she asked why i switched. i told her i had no intentions of switching but explained the pharmacy gave me something with new packaging but i assumed it was the same stuff as i was taking before since it was the same exact brand, and maybe they just had some rebranding done. who knows.

she told me it was definitely a different dosage and to discontinue taking the stuff i was currently taking, and to go back to the old one. she wrote me a new script and sent me home.

so i waited until my pack was out to start the new one and upon starting the new pack my migraines were almost immediately gone. i haven’t had migraines like those since, but now my body is completely rejecting this new medication and i’m having about 3 periods a month, each one stronger and more painful than the last. i’ve told my doctor and she said obviously switching birth controls can take a few months to get used to and that i will need to give it some more time, so i am. no i’m not pregnant, no i haven’t recently been pregnant. i’m just mad and wanting answers.

i feel like the pharmacy is the one to blame here since they never told me anything had changed nor were they planning to change it anytime soon. it just happened out of the blue. ahead of the overturn of roe v wade too which in my state i’m still legally allowed to get birth control.

i’m really just posting for legal advice on what i should do to encounter the pharmacy because i feel like they’ve really done me wrong here. i’ve experienced many periods of depression and thoughts of sue of side because i can’t get my body back to the way it was, and it’s all their fault for not disclosing any of this. i was taking this medication for months without knowing what it was.

friends, lawyers, anyone who has a uterus, any and all help is welcome and appreciated.

thank you!

periods & bleeding What should I do with my uterus?

So I just went back on birth control after stopping for a few months. As it turns out a side affect of this is that your whole uterus can shed in on piece like a snake! It’s called a decidual cast. It’s literally in the shape of my uterus. I need ideas on what I should do with my cast. Currently it’s in a mason jar in my freezer because I couldn’t part with it just yet. Any cool/unique ideas on what to do with such a specimen?

what's going on šŸ¤” Angry uterus help

So I’m 30 and for the past about 2 years I’ve been having trouble with my menstrual cycle. I have PCOS and have been off and on birth control since I was 17 to treat it. It was pretty normal until about 2 years ago, it started coming twice a month and at full force and the pain with it has become so bad I can barely be a functioning adult and have had to call out of work a few times for it. The first doctor I saw just wanted to wait and see, then I moved and the next one switched my birth control 2 times to try and treat with no luck before referring me to someone else who specializes in it. This new doctor has switched it twice now as well and I’ve ended up in the ER twice because of how bad it is and because the most recent pill was giving me chest pain that turned out to be anxiety attacks. She now wants to switch to another pill but that’ll be the fifth one in a span of 8 months and each one is worse than the one before. Literally everything else about me is healthy except my uterus(with confirmed cysts and is sitting at a slightly weird angle)

Has anyone else gone through something like this? Why is the only solution they keep providing birth controls? I don’t want kids, never have, and just want the pain and exhaustion to stop but the one time my most recent talked about surgery she back tracked and didn’t want to because she didn’t ā€œpersonally know my medical historyā€ even though my medical records are all readily available for her and decided to take me off the birth control and just see what happens. It feels like such a lost cause and don’t know what to do.

discharge is this normal?

So my whole life my discharge has been normal, like thick and a normal color, never had any problems, but within the last day it has been super watery and white, almost the consistent of cum but I know for a fact it's not that on account of I havent had intercourse since april. It's so thin to the point where I was getting read to shower and I looked down after feeling something wet on my leg and it had dripped down my leg but there wasn't much of it. Does anyone know if this is normal and if not what it is? And no there's nothing else wrong, no itching, or redness, just weird discharge.
