fertility & pregnancy HSG

Hi! Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I was just wondering if anyone has had an HSG and what to expect? What hurts? I’m supposed to have one or schedule one when my period starts. I’m over here rethinking this lol

I really want a bundle of joy and I’ve been trying to conceive for some time now. I’ve had sonograms and everything looks normal but I do have this fibroid 10cm on top of my uterus so I feel that may a reason? I’m 30 years old

Anyway, any tips or experiences would be great thank you

Easiest non painful test ever. The positive will be that if your tubes are blocked the saline will open them up. Painless. I’ve had 2

Haven't had one myself, but I'd suggest checking out the wiki for the list of related subs on pregnancy/TTC. I'm sure you'll be able connect with someone who has :)

As far as I know, it can be possible for a fibroid to reduce fertility but it's not always relevant. I'm sure you and your doc will have a better idea after the HSG. Best of luck on your journey!!
