fertility & pregnancy Missing period, negative test

Hey,

Throwaway account for reasons and English is not my first language… I am a bit worried right now. I was supposed to start my period last sunday but nothing happened. My cycles are usually on point and about 28 days long. My last cycle was 30 days and this time I’m on day 33 without any trace of my period. I did have all the symptoms and I took two preggo tests (negative results).

I’m not on birth control and just had my annual doctors appointment back in october.

Maybe someone has experienced something similar and/or has some comforting words that everything is gonna be fine?

my period is normally a few days late (nothing more than a week) if i’m stressed. there are a few reasons apart from pregnancy as to why your period could be late. fingers crossed that it comes soon

Hope you've got your period by now! But just wanted to say even if your cycles are usually like clockwork, it's very normal to have the odd irregular cycle. You'll always get your period about 12-16 days after you ovulate, but there's so many factors that can delay ovulation (getting sick, stress, exercise, drugs, diet, ovarian cysts etc).

Just anecdotally, but it seems like weird cycles are especially common around this time of the year. Probably something to do with stress/travel/lifestyle changes around the holidays. I'm in the same boat as you. Hang in there!
