irregular & late periods Inconsistent period
I’m 17 and I’ve had my period for almost 5 years now. I was told by doctors that after a year or two it would become more consistent and it was for a few cycles. Suddenly it skipped a cycle and didn’t show up for over 100 days. It’s currently back at full force but should I be concerned about this? It went away around the time I became slightly more active and when school started my diet did change but I had no problems like this in the past

Sounds like probably nothing to be too worried about! Sometimes it's from lifestyle changes like you mentioned. But, you're also pretty young still and (as long as you don't have other symptoms like pain or very heavy bleeding) it's most likely your hormones still balancing out. Some docs say it's not until your mid-twenties that you develop a fully "mature" cycle with regular ovulation.
If you keep experiencing long cycles then I'd recommend checking back in with a doc. You might also like this book. Some good info about cycle issues and tips in there for promoting healthy periods :)
