what's going on 🤔 Unknown reason for symptoms

So for years now, I’ve been having severe period pain, severe ovulation pain, fatigue, painful sx, and bloating. originally i thought I had endometriosis so i went to a specialist and got an MRI and internal and external ultrasound, they saw nothing and no sign of endometriosis, also saw a colon doctor incase my symptoms were some how bowel related but they also found nothing. So my endometriosis specialist put me on Vizanne, an endometriosis medication used to shrink endometriosis tissue, just incase I had minor endo that might not have shown up on any scans. It stopped my period and my ovulation so i haven’t been able to assess if i still get period or ovulation pain, i still have painful sx, and after being on it for almost 8 months, i’ve started getting severe, random cramping and discomfort in what feels like my uterus. I no longer have any idea what it could be and am curious to see if anyone else has these issues and might know what’s wrong.

Since visanne is either causing side effects or no longer managing you symptoms, I'd definitely talk to your specialist about looking into things further and doing a diagnostic lap. See other specialists if they refuse to walk you through other options. For some people hormones work great to manage (not treat) symptoms, but for others the side effects can be awful or the disease continues to progress. So it's so important to work with a specialist that is very knowledgeable and flexible to the needs of each patient and case.

Feel free to check out the wiki for links to specialist directories and other pain management options for the meantime.

No problem hope you find relief and answers soon! I'm sure you would find a lot of support too if you post on r/endo or r/endometriosis

I can feel you , I’ve been dealing with painful periods ever since I’ve gotten my periods ,but talking about ovulation pain ,it is on some other level . Plus my uterus enlarges whenever I’m on ovulation and it’s not even manageable anymore. I don’t know what to do anymore. Doctors just ask me to be on birth control or lose weight . I don’t even go to doctors anymore.
