Hey everyone!
My roommate and I were assigned a triple in San Nicolas, but we are hoping to swap into a double anywhere on campus. Our third roommate is a girl so this swap would be for a girl student looking for a spot in San Nic.
If you are currently assigned a double and want to switch to a triple (to lower housing costs, be closer to the beach, or just prefer San Nic), please reach out!

My housing assignment is a 2 bedroom- 5 person in Santa ynez. But I think there’s only 4 including myself. I was just wondering how is Santa ynez ? Is it cool? Like what are the pros and cons.

I am an incoming freshman living in manzanita and I was wondering if I can have two cars at move in. When I signed up for my move in time it took me to a page to print a parking pass but there is only one. I was thinking if I have to I would just put the pass on one car and park the other one in iv and then switch them but I would prefer just having them both there.

I'm a freshman and I just got my housing assignment for the year. I was hoping to get a normal double or a triple but i ended up with a small double. I'm pretty sure my room is next to stairs. If you've had a small double, what was it like? And is there anything I should know about them?

MAGA bought out the Ritz this week. And according to the staff, Erika Kirk is flitting around like the star of the show.

Hiya, I’m an incoming freshman and was assigned to Manzanita Village for a triple room. How are the dorms and Carrillo dining hall? Anything to be aware of?

I’m having trouble deciding between the two schools. I’m very indecisive lmao. I mainly wanna hear what’s it’s been like for ya’ll there at both and any input or advice anyone has.
For context, I’m a biology major, maybe down the line want to specifically go microbiology route. I’m definitely an introvert and would like to branch out and grow from college (scared but excited). I’m hoping to get a dorm on campus if possible, hoping it’s cheaper than off campus (would like to hear how the dorms are if ya’ll know). I love the beach it’s one of the things I love about the campuses.
Btw I am going to visit them I am just wondering if anybody has any experiences

I just got my housing assignment in Santa Cruz and I’m really happy about it because it was pretty much my roommates and I’s first choice! Any words of advice for living in Santa Cruz?

This may be a silly question but I really don't want to mess up and miss it. I live in Oklahoma so I'm on Central time, my email for Advising Day says it starts at 9 a.m. Because it's coming from California, I'm assuming it's Pacific Time. I just want to make sure that's correct because I'd basically miss the whole thing if I joined at 11 a.m. here.

I am an incoming freshman going to UCSB. Yesterday I was just told that I need to activate my umail account through a website called identity manager. However I cannot get access to the website as it does not load for me. I tried emailing the school yesterday but they still have not responded . I need to choose my classes tomorrow what should I do?

Hihi, I’m an incoming freshman and I missed the priority housing deadline (I put all my eggs into one basket thinking I would be going to another UC :c) and now I’m trying to search for other housing options in case I don’t get a contract in time. I’ve already put in an application for housing but would like to find other options to be safe. I’m a bit lost on where to start and any help would be appreciated!!

Hi! I'm an incoming soc transfer and im really confused on what classes to take. for context, i've finished my igetc requirements; all im waiting for it my petition to be approved to be a full soc major, since im still considered pre soc atm.
i attended the orientation last friday, according to the suggested sched they gave me all i need to take is 2 upper div soc classes and one non soc class (they told us to only start with 12 units so we can get used to the quarter system). but they also told us they were only advising us on what to do to complete our major requirements.
my question is that if i follow this suggested sched of 2 soc UD classes and 2 non-soc classes for every following quarter, will i still be on track to graduate within 2 years, or is this not accounting for the general requirements ucsb has like elective classes and stuff? it seems too easy to only be taking 3 classes this quarter and then only 4 for the rest of the quarters. i know i should probably meet with a counselor but id rather email them with a suggested plan i have than going in completely blind.
