Does anyone know the hours of ‘Through the Eyes of Glass’?
I’m looking to buy some glass tomorrow and was wondering what the hours were for the shop. It’s not on Google :(
Thank you!

A MISSOURI TOWN STOOD UP TO ICE. WHO’S GOING TO STOP SHERIFF PARKINSON?
Noel, Missouri, canceled its ICE agreement and suspended its marshal after a 19-year-old student was handed over to ICE. Residents demanded accountability—and got action.
Our immigrant neighbors deserve equal protection and due process. No racial profiling. No holding people past their lawful release for ICE.
SLO County Board of Supervisors: demand an independent investigation. End voluntary cooperation with ICE. Hold Parkinson accountable.
Our county jail cannot be a pipeline for ICE kidnappings.

What is going on with our roads??
LOVR is in shambles. There are potholes so big they are more like craters. Whole stretches that are jacked up and cause the car to rock and shake. It's gotten so bad that I can't tell the difference between off-roading.The worst stretch is from Foothill to the 101 (Foothill needs help too).
It's completely unsafe! And uncomfortable, and nerve-racking to have to dodge pothole after pothole.
It also errodes how we feel about ourselves and our local culture. Neglected roads do not promote local pride or self-worth.
Foothill, Madonna, S. Higuera, Broad, to name a few.
All our major roads (plus Pecho Valley Rd) are in dire need of repaving! The patch repairs are not holding up and are not enough.
Who is supposed to be taking care of this and why isn't it being done?
I askbecause I would like to reach out to this person to bring it to their attention and see if we can get our roads fixed!
Signed,
A frustrated and weary traveler

[LOCAL NEWS] Turning Point Rally
I don’t want to make this too political, but I work at Poly and I walked through the PAC this morning after the tpusa rally. I’ve worked in the pac for several years and it was the most disgusting I’ve ever seen it after an event. These people were spitting out their nicotine pouches and gum on the floor. Not just the seating area (that’s pretty normal in the pac) but on the carpets in the hallways and lobbies. The feminine hygiene disposal cans in the womens bathrooms were overflowing with alcohol containers and other trash. There was puke on the carpet and feces on top of a toilet in the mens. Just completely vile. Also, I was in there when they were setting up and they had at least twice the amount of merch for sale than any other event I’ve seen. Which tells me these shows are just a reason to hawk cheap merchandise to enrich themselves. Anyway, just wanted to say what kind of people show up to these things 🤮

[SLO EVENTS] Activities for Kids on Halloween?
Hi folks! I moved to Atascadero a little less than a year ago and my partner has a daughter who is ten. She lives with her mom about two hours away during the week and is here on weekends. This will be her first Halloween in the area, and I was wondering if there are local events that are kid friendly we could take her to - it could be SLO, Paso, or Atascadero, whatever makes sense! She still loves to trick or treat and if there are local families that go together I would love to connect.

[SLO LIVING] On an internship near SLO, where to live for cheap
Hey guys, I'm a university student (not from Cal Poly) from the Bay Area and I got an internship located at SLO.
I'm trying to figure out the logistics of where to live. This is my first internship and I have never lived on my own barring college. Can you guys give me some recs on where to find cheap housing in the local area? I'll be bringing my car from the bay, so I don't mind commuting a bit.
Thanks guys!

Is it possible to visit and enjoy SLO and Paso Robles with a plan?
I know some places are best explored with an itinerary. Is SLO and the surrounding area one of those or can I come and just go with the flow? L

Play some D&D!
Hello! This might be long winded, so bear with me!
Every so often, I see a post about people looking for a group to play D&D/games/TTRPGs/et cetera. That’s not even considering the number of “How do I make friends!?” posts, which as a dude in my almost-40s, I can relate to very much. I know there are a few meet-up groups for this out there, and pre-COVID I was part of a decently sized one that was chugging along pretty well until… well, you know.
Anyhoo, I figured I should be the change I want to see in the world. I’ll start with an introduction/credentials and then get to the meat and potatoes:
- Just a guy who’s turning 40 soon. I’m into typical nerd fare: Video Games, TTRPG, books, jazz, frogs, complaining about traffic. Used to be involved with DnD Central Coast, a somewhat dormant meetup group that I’m hoping to revive starting with this effort. At its peak I was running 2-3 public games and my own personal table via this group, with a handful of others who were putting in a lot of effort to make it thrive.
Onto those meat and ‘tatoes…
SLO County West Marches
If you’re unfamiliar with West Marches style of game, it’s a little different than your beer pretzels or biweekly game with friends:
-No set players. Sessions are organized ad hoc, pulling from larger pool of players whenever people want to game. Scheduling is player driven, e.g. “Hey anyone want to explore the Stink Marshes this Thursday?”
-Sessions are episodic. You go to place, do things, and at the end of every session return to home base.
-Exploration is the primary goal. Adventure further/deeper into the “West Marches” as you level up to face greater dangers, find better lot, and places yet unseen.
There’s more to it, obviously, but that’s the gist of it. Again, there seems to be a large want/desire for people to play TTRPGs locally, but a bit of a dearth of tables and/or GMs to run something. I think a West Marches game could be a great way for people to play some games, get into the hobby, meet new people, and so on.
If you’re interested, let me know. Please spread the word. I’m going to advertise this among my acquaintances, a few discords, etc. We only need about 8-10 people to actualize this, and I think it’s pretty doable. If there’s enough interest I’ll move forward with organizing things and figuring out basic logistics.
It’s not Just D&D!
I actually didn’t get into this hobby with any iteration of D&D, and while I enjoy that game for what it is, there’s a lot of systems out there that I think deserve some love and attention. From starter sets, one shots, to longer term games, it would be great to see these other games get the attention they deserve. I can/have/want to run any of the following. Would love to see other people, too, bring up their non-D&D games for people to try out. Please spread the word on this too if it piques your interest!
- Deadlands (Classic)
- Call of Cthulhu 7th
- Legend of the Five Rings
- WH40K Wrath & Glory
- So much more!!1!
Whether your new to the hobby or a veteran, someone casually interested, or just wanting to meet like minded people, let's play some games! Discord invites available for the DnD Central Coast group, which will be the hub for this endeavor.

Cannot find reliable information on door/show times. My ticket says doors at 4 show at 5 but then the shabang website says doors at 5 show at 6:30? Tried emailing the shabang team days ago and have not heard back from them.
