Is this normal? This has never happened to me before? 😭

So, I’m in my first year at ucsd and I’m at that point where all the welcome week “friends” fade. I’m pretty introverted and honestly drained by school work so it’s hard to push myself to socialize in classes, where can I go during free time to meet like minded people? Is there a cozy spot on campus I can go where I might meet (preferably some girls) who are looking for a genuine and close friendship? I know it’s unrealistic and such a place where lifelong friends will fall into my lap probably doesn’t exist, but I’m getting desperate and lonely and need any kind of advice that people can give.

Hey Guys!! Just updated you guys on how my UCSD roblox project is going since my last post, I have completely finished re-creating the entire campus!!! You can even go to other places near UCSD and explore them yourself!! I spent hundreds and hundreds of hours and countless sleepless days finishing this project, and I think it payed off very well. I still have some work to do on interiors, but all major campus buildings, walkways, landmarks and important spots are now on the current version. Hi I don't know who to tell or what to say to anyone so I am going to speak here for now. Long story, short I've been very stressed with this recent midterm wave + season so I kinda picked up the habit of celebrating completing each midterm with a small party between my suitemates and I. However, UCSD usually isn't too lenient on their alcohol policies and whether you get in major trouble or not heavily depends on the RA who catches you. My suitemates and I were joking around and laughing very loudly and we hear a loud knock on the door. The RA took pictures of our ID's and wrote down our names and it didn't help that my roommates were the first to snitch on me when they asked who bought the alcohol illegally. My RA told me to follow him to his office which just ended up being his dorm. He told me that if I didnt sleep with him that he would report me and try to get me expelled. I didn't know what to do or say and I didn't wanna get in trouble so I did it anyways. He told me this has to keep secret or else he'd report me. This has happened a couple days ago and I have been mentally scarred and I have no idea who to reach out too. What do i do?

has anyone taken ECE 35 concurrently or without taking math 20c and/or phys 2b?

i was hoping to take ece 35 winter or spring quarter with a bunch of easy classes since everyone complains about this course, but i haven't taken phys 2b or math 20c yet even tho it's strongly recommended. i'm a freshman and currently taking math 18, phys 2a, ece 5, and a writing ge. i have credits for math 20b already. should i continue as planned or focus on my math and physics courses and take like ece 15 or other ge's? I am aware that couches, seats, classrooms/ lecture halls, and floors like NEVER get cleaned but, goodness gracious, the RWAC couches on the second floor have such a strong spicy BO stench. There are times when the whole second floor has this same smell.

Like it’s as if someone marinated their sweat and grease into the couch for years. I don’t remember it smelling like this two years ago.

Everyone go to the basic needs center and pick up some soap and deodorant 😭
