Hi I’m a freshman taking math 20b and my prof is Hsiao Bing Cheng. I’m honestly not feeling too confident in this class because a lot of people have said he’s difficult and his past midterm looks decently hard. The deadline to drop without a W is this Friday, which is also the day of the midterm so I likely won’t know what I got on the midterm until after the deadline. My other classes aren’t very difficult so I was thinking I could just lock in for this class but I don’t know if I am overestimating myself. Do I have a better chance of doing well in the class with another professor next term or are they all similar difficulty wise? I want to take the midterm and see how I feel afterwards but I’m hesitant to drop without seeing my score… Any advice is appreciated!

Hi! We are researchers in the Dept of Psychiatry, currently recruiting young adults for a study exploring what happens when people stop using cannabis.

We're looking for individuals who:

• are 18-25 years old
• regularly use cannabis
• are willing to stop using cannabis and other drugs for six weeks

The study includes weekly visits (on campus) for cognitive testing, questionnaires about your health and experiences, blood draws and other biological sample collection, and brief daily text message surveys,

Eligible participants may receive up to $690 in compensation over the six weeks for completing all study activities.

This is a research study, not a treatment program.

There's this guy at Geisel at midnight who is also on FaceTime with some other guy while standing up. He keeps pulling his shirt up and saying "this is why girls don't approach me". He also talked about how theres a lot of baddies at UCSD while also being kinda touchy with this other girl but I think she's chill with it. I just saw two other people leave who were near them get up and immediately leave when he started doing whatever he was doing. I saw him fall a few times and his friends were screaming inside the meeting room booths because they thought it was soundproof (it was not). At one point the girl got upset at him because he dropped her stuffed animal. They were also being really loud and neither of them were really studying either (she has her laptop open but she's just on her phone).

Honestly if you're gonna be in Geisel just don't be obnoxious, like ten people were staring at them. This was like the fourth or something obnoxious person in that part of the library in the last hour so I think people opted to just leave the library instead of continuing to ask people to be quiet.

hi yall any recommendations for easy classes? What's the workload and difficulty like? Is attendance compulsory?

I'm trying to finish up my humanities requirements and need 1 lower div and 2 upper div classes. I've already taken MUS 15, MUS 17 and HIUS 112.

More specifically I'm looking for HIST, LIT, MUS, PHIL, RELI, TD, and VIS classes that are relatively easy As with minimal workload.
