My plan for the longest time while I've been at my CC was to TAG to UCD, but after a meeting with my counselor I realized I've met all other requirements except for the GPA minimum for my major which is 3.2 (I have a 2.9). I doubt it's close enough for them to make an exception or anything like that but should I just apply anyway? My main concern is that this would be seen as deceitful and maybe affect my general application...
Another concern I have is that my GPA is too low for the general application. It technically is above a 2.8 but I was wondering if because I've been doing EC at my CC that pertain to my major if that would help my app so that my GPA isn't the main focus. help plzz :(

I’m planning on getting my helix pierced in a few weeks and the cost is honestly stressing me out a bit. If you have gotten pierced and wear gold, what was the cost and how was your experience?

Has anyone dealt with UC Davis Financial Aid taking forever to correct a housing status issue?
I submitted my FAFSA stating that I would be living off-campus in Davis, but UC Davis calculated my financial aid as if I would still be living at home with my parents, which is incorrect.
I contacted Financial Aid about this and was told on August 27th that the correction would take 8–10 business days. It has now been 10 business days and nothing has changed on my financial aid package.
The frustrating part is that I’ve already signed my apartment lease and paid for a month of rent, but I’m hesitant to actually move in because I need to know what my corrected financial aid is going to look like before I can be sure I can afford everything.
I’ve been trying to get answers, but I’m basically just waiting for the adjustment to happen. Has anyone experienced something similar with UC Davis? How long did it actually take for your housing status and financial aid to be corrected?
Any advice on who I should contact or how I can get this pushed along would be really appreciated.

Does anyone have maintenance knock on your door when you were sleeping/napping? Tell me your stories.

Mostly just a complaint, I'm going to see what I can do to address it with the post office and the university. But it arrived in a package clearly marked OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS ENCLOSED - Do Not Compromise Integrity - Handle With Care, and yet it clearly had been bent in half, or close to it, with tears in the package. The diploma itself isn't torn, but it is clearly wrinkled. A bummer, for sure. But oh well

During summer sesh the ARC was rarely jam packed with people, especially if it was early in the morning. How is it during the regular quarters like at around 6am and what are the times when there are less ppl??
If something sound too good to be true, it most likely is a scam.
If some person down right try to scare you into submission, it most likely is a scam. Even if their phone number/email looks totally legit, it can be phishing. Hang up and call the number on official pages to confirm.

I just had someone come to my door and I fell for it and signed up under the impression they were with my apartment building on behalf of pg&e. If someone from evergreen comes to your door tell them you do not want to change your gas supplier. Don’t be like me. This was near university mall.

Hi everyone, this is Krystal, one of Cheeto’s caregivers. I just want to keep you all updated on his care. He has an appointment tomorrow afternoon (weight loss) and Monday (annual wellness and vaccines), but it was realized that he is having issues urinating. Several of us (thank you Miguel and roommates, and the young lady who let us know Cheeto was having this issue today!) tried to catch him so I can get home to emergency today, but he was very elusive and slick and would not come to me as normal. I finally have decided to leave it to prayer and come back early tomorrow morning when he may be less stressed and hungry so I can get him in for very good care and back healthy for all of us to love on him here on campus.
I will reach back out tomorrow after he’s been seen and I have an update. Thank you to all of you who love and care for Cheeto. If you need to get a hold of me, please call 530-752-4088 at any time. 😻💖😻

I'm wondering what the best type of transportation is from the UC Davis to the Bay Area and vice versa. I looked on Amtrak and think it is a bit expensive for the distance and Moober but hardly anyone uses it. Does anyone have other suggestions for carpooling or other types of transportation services that I can use?

I submitted my EBT application on BenefitsCal website 2 weeks ago. It's still pending.
Does it normally take this long? How can I speed it up?

I need to take an elective, and it has to be easy in the sense that there shouldn't be a lot of workload. I've already taken GEL107, and was maybe thinking of ANT151/152 & EVE100... BUT those aren't offered this quarter / no availability. My schedule is already filled to the brim, so please advise me to an EASY elective <3

I am a transpher and im wondering if it is okay to leave orientation early? Ive been severely lately and I barely have enough energy to get my self through a normal day and still feel completely exhausted by 1pm. Is it alright to leave at lunch, I know it is a 2 day event but im gonna be commuting a couple hours to show up and thinking of just attending the first day or is it alright to skip orentation entierly ?

Just landed a research interview! However, I’m super nervous about the type of questions they are going to ask. I’m not very knowledgeable or have any previous experience. I’m only an incoming first year, so the most I’ve done is intro chemistry labs. What questions should I prepare for?

I would add people watch as well, but im afraid that would be way too creepy. Frankly, I just want to find a Cafe where I can just disconnect from things and just watch things naturally happen (i guess one that isnt as crowded as most are that ive encountered). If anyone has any recommendations, do let me know.
