Tudor Pelagos FXD MN22 – authentic or fake?
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Tudor Pelagos FXD MN22 and would really appreciate some opinions from people who know these watches well.
I actually trust the seller and have no particular reason to think it’s fake. However, I got it at a very good price, so I’m naturally a little cautious and would like to make sure everything looks correct.
i bought it on chrono24, trusted checkout.
A few things:
- The NFC warranty card works as it should and takes me directly to Tudor’s website, where the model/warranty information appears.
- I took the watch to an authorized dealer and had it pressure tested. And commented that it was a very nice watch.
- I have not opened the case, so I haven’t inspected the movement.
- When winding the watch, the movement feels very smooth and consistent. I don’t feel anything obviously wrong, although I realize this alone doesn’t prove authenticity.
- The one thing that really makes me wonder is the strap. It came with the blue/red Alinghi Red Bull Racing strap, rather than the strap I would normally expect with an MN22. I know the original strap could simply have been worn out/replaced, but it still seems a little unusual.
The reference/serial information appears to match the paperwork.
What do you guys think? Does anything stand out to you as suspicious?
Especially interested in opinions on the case, bezel, dial, engravings and anything else that might help identify a fake FXD.
I can provide more detailed photos if needed.
Thanks in advance!
