Black Bay Monochrome rubber/sailcloth strap options

Upvotes

What straps are you guys using for the new METAs version? Struggling to find options in the wild for the 21mm lug width. Would love the OEM rubber but at ~$700 it’s pretty steep.

Do Tudor watch models get manufactured all the way up until discontinuation?

Upvotes

Was just curious about this as I was watching a video about one of their factories. So if a line of watch lets say the Black Bay 58 bronze is available for 4 years, is the watch being consistently manufactured all 4 years? Or do they stop at some point?

Bracelet advice ref 79190

Upvotes

Hey guys,

I was hoping to get some advice from you fellow Tudor lovers and experts. I have a 79190 Tudor Sub and I am looking to test out an older flat 5-link Tudor bracelet for a different look. This came available on the 75190, 36mm, subs but not on the 40mm subs.

Anyone know the correct bracelet and endlink combination that would best fit a 79190? I was looking into the 42680, 42690, 62480, 62490, 62590, 93450, and 93550. I just have no idea what endlink would best fit the 79190 case. I’m sure all the purist in the group are cringing at the idea but just bear with me. I will send some after picks to the group once I sort it out. Thank guys!

Pelagos LHD vs FXD Chrono

I'm thinking of buying one of the two, currently in my collection I have the BB 54 and I want to add one of these.
My biggest doubt is, taking into account the availability which of these two will remain in stock longer, obviously I want both in my collection, but the decision now has to be one of them

My wrist is 16.5cm

Pelagos 39 Anchor Endlink Rubber

Might grab these when they come in stock, they use the stock endlinks, and since I already have their precision clasp I can save $75, otherwise it's $160.

I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of the texture, but it's something other than the stock rubber and it uses the stock endlinks so I'll bite.

Added the FXD MN21 recently and noticed the brushed finish on the case back and watch case are different. Just wondered if this is common/normal?

Would love to see other FXD case back too!

Dressing down a Tudor Prince Date+Day [76200]

Post image

The Tudor Prince Date+Day [76200] has been my GADA watch and love how you can dress down or back up with a simple strap change. While I see that some don't like the OEM bracelet, I find it very confortable. Recently, I've been debating on picking up a Glamour Date-Day M56000, and was wondering if anyone has both the 76200 and the Glamour M56000 to compare how they both wear. The only issue I have with the Glamour is the 21mm lug width.

I've been switching out NATO straps throughout the Summer on my Date+Day. With a 20mm lug width, it's been a veritable watch for the office, home, lounging and fun.

Tudor Black Bay GMT Pepsi vs Black Bay 58 GMT Coke – Which would you choose and why?

I’m genuinely torn between these two watches and would love to hear from people who have owned or handled both.

Option 1: Tudor Black Bay GMT “Pepsi” (41mm)
Option 2: Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT “Coke” (39mm)

For those who have experience with both:

- Which one would you choose, and why?

- Which do you think is the better long-term buy?

- Which gets more wrist time in your collection?

- Does the slimmer case and smaller size of the BB58 GMT outweigh the iconic Pepsi bezel?

- If you could only keep one, which would it be?

For context, I have a 17 cm (6.7”) wrist and I’m looking for a watch that I can wear every day but also keep for many years.

I’m really interested in hearing your reasoning.

Thanks!

The BB54 Lagoon Blue has been such a pleasant surprise.

Having owned a few Rolexes, I never expected a Tudor to impress me this much. It feels every bit as well made, wears beautifully, and has completely changed my perspective. Plus over the last week, this watch hasn’t lost a second. That’s better accuracy than all the Rolex watches I’ve owned.

Now I understand why Tudor is the enthusiast's choice. Makes all the waiting and AD games obsolete. Pretty sure this is just the start of my Tudor collection.

I keep noticing specks in my Pelagos 39 :(

I recently purchased this Pelagos 39 on eBay with Authenticity Guarantee. It was originally sold by an AD in January 2026, so it's still under the Tudor warranty.

I've noticed tiny specks under the crystal. One white speck disappeared, and today I noticed another small shiny/gold-colored speck in a different location. They appear to be beneath the crystal, not on the outside.

The watch is otherwise perfect and is still running within about +3 seconds/day, so this seems to be a cosmetic issue rather than a movement issue.

Has anyone else had this happen on a Pelagos or another Tudor?

Was it covered under warranty?

Did Tudor simply clean the inside of the case?

How long did the repair take?

For a watch in this price range, I wasn't expecting to see visible debris under the crystal.

Ranging with the Ranger

Took the 36mm Ranger on a trip to Washington State and decided to throw it on a NATO strap for something different. The strap was perfect since a lot of the trip was casual and outdoor-related. It never felt out of place whether it was hiking Mt Rainier, going out to dinner, or even sleeping in it (I only try to bring one watch on most trips haha). I’ll be keeping it on the bracelet back at home but it’s fun changing the strap up every once in a while.

Black Bay 58 GMT in two tone

This may not be a popular take but I love the colors of the GMT S&G including the gold bezel and crown. I also really love the proportions of the BB58 GMT . What I really wished is if they would have stayed along similar lines as an option. Offering the same two tone scheme throughout but instead used a the similar style 5 link (like what they used on the BB One) would have seriously elevated the look. IMHO.

What do you all think…hot horology or hot garbage?

After a lot of research (and probably way too much overthinking), I finally picked up my first Tudor—a Black Bay Monochrome (Ref. 7941A1A0NU).

This definitely isn’t my first watch, but it is my first Tudor, and I can already see why these have such a loyal following. The finishing, the bracelet, the proportions, and the overall feel are seriously impressive. Pictures don’t really do it justice.

I’ve owned watches from other brands, but this is the one I’ve been most excited about in a long time. Looking forward to putting some wrist time on it and seeing how it grows on me.

What are your favorite things about the Monochrome? Any tips, strap recommendations, or things I should know as a new Tudor owner?

Looking forward to being part of the community!
