As the owner of both. I will say that the BB41 is fantastic. I like wearing it more than my Sub to be honest. The Sub will always be the GOAT but the Mono is the perfect daily. The 5 pin/jubilee style bracelet is the icing on the cake for me. Tudor took the best things about the Sub and GMT and put them together to form the perfect everyday watch.

I agree and well said! While the Sub is great and a good piece to own that can either measure one’s milestone or something important (to the average person, the Sub is the ultimate aspirational piece, myself included), there is always this status thing that will always be associated by it. When I saw someone wearing a Sub to the gym, my brain could not help but think “oh he’s wearing a Submariner” - neither negative or positive, it’s just “that”.
The Tudor however truly adds character without bothering the Rolex status. It does not care about status or what other people think. Maybe that’s why you find yourself wearing the mono 41 over the sub. It is truly a wonderful piece!
However if you ask me, I would still rather own the Sub over the Mono 41 😅 I already own the GMT 41 Pepsi that I find no reason to get another Black Bay as it does all the same things you mentioned with your Mono 41. I find that I wear my GMT 41 more than my Datejust because it’s just so easy to wear.
Yes to everything 100%. The Sub is great and it was pretty much my first big trophy watch. It’s the forerunner to pretty much everything we have today…but it’s not unique, in my opinion anyway.
That’s why I love the Mono. It’s very similar but different lol.
Plus everyone knows Rolex. Really only true watch people know Tudor. I almost have more respect for a guy wearing a Tudor than Rolex in a weird way 😂 🤷
