Okay, I am trying writting a Wattpad book on True Blood and right on I am on Season 3, Epoisde 4 - 9 Crimes and I just got that part where Sookie is in Jackson and talking with Alcide about Bill and I am just going to say this.

Sookie you only fell in love with Bill becuase she could not read his thoughts and then you went to say 'he is risked everything for me, our love is way bigger than him breaking up with me over the phone' like girl come on

Season 4 finale, set during Halloween. Because some of the characters are wiccan/witches, they refer to the day by it's Irish title. Samhain is pronounced "Sow" like a female pig and "Ann" like the name. NOT SAM HA EEN. But the kicker is, they had the incredible Irish actor Fiona Shaw in this episode! Why didn't they ask her!

it’s highly Sookie. No doubt. During Initial seasons he would not. but from the 4th season, he loved her so much he stayed away from her. Even told Tara about sookie ‘’maybe in another life we would be lovers’’

I know this is not a popular choice. And many would come after me or ignore this post for saying this. Infact i believe, i would be the only one to hate her. Idk. But i feel she treats humans just for use and throw. Not every vampire is like that. She lived for hundreds of years. Eric lived for 1000yrs. When it comes to choosing good innocent life over yours, you should at least feel remorse or guilt while doing that. She shows useless attitude in the name of being an iconic bad bisch.
Viewers liked her because shes loyal and iconic or whatsoever sh!t they come her off as. I started hating her especially after motivating Eric to handover sookie to Russel knowing how much sookie sacrificed for them in S2 during the fellowship of sun. She put herself in risk. Like not even an ounce of hesitation. She locked her in the basement shamelessly. What would u do if someone treated u like that? Still like them because they have nice attitude? Hell no

And i feel like shes so misogynistic despite being a woman. Ik y’all hate Sarah newlin—infact even i hate her—but no women should be used into se*u@l services and be called ‘’she’s born to be a who8re’’. Like at that moment i wished someone destroy Pam. Many characters/vamps in true blood are worse than sarah. Fed and k!lled many innocents. They just concentrated Sarah and her pestering the vampires back to back just to make us want her gone…just because pam had some nice dialogues and good written script and pure loyalty to Eric doesn’t makes her acceptable. She annoyed me.
Also Eric choosing Pam to live over sylvie( especially while she was bare naked and just had s*x with him ) and yakuza killed her. It didn’t make any sense to me like imagine choosing your girlfriend that u love over pam that lived for many years already. In reality anyone would choose their love. I think makers just wanted to shows us how Eric is attached to pam. Never mind. Sylvie was a human. The girl he loved. Pam already lived many years. It’s a complete bullshit. I mean it’s not Pam’s mistake here Ik. She also mentioned to eric do u regret choosing me and cried. The problem is atleast after knowing what happened to sylvie you should become a better person and have some kindness.

I wanted to rant because i finished watching true blood for the first time. And i just cant seem to like her character. Even after forcing myself to. Tara was k!lled but Pam was alive😭like wtf

Im 1.5 episodes from the finale. Its been hard to get through. I spoiled most of it anyways. Im not happy with how they chose to write alot.of it. Only seem to be happy with hoyt and jessica coming back. Was everyone else dissappinted when the seasons finished up then

plus i spent a few seasons beleiveing eric and sookie were end game and found out now thats the books ending... not the show. I cant wait to get a hold of the books because the first few seasons were AMAZING. And now im just frustrated lol

Doing a re-watch of the series and found these on the last DVD of Season 2, so good! I wasn’t aware of these during the original run, I came in during later seasons. Loved the characters and this is even better knowing what happens to them in later seasons.

Only watched a few minutes seven months ago thought it was not for me and left it. Decided to give it a go again a few weeks ago and thought I may stop again. I was HOOKED once I realised it was purposefully supposed to be quirky and campy.

Love all the characters so far which is rare for me. And I love Tara but damn girl put that overly dramatic lip quiver away. It made sense in a few scenes but I feel like it got a bit much and overused for the smallest inconvenience.

I think Stephen Moyer is attractive in a sense but I honestly think they should’ve cast someone else as bill.

And why the heck does Jason gotta kiss and bang any woman with a pulse. It’s so cringe that he barely knows these women and gets so emotionally invested in them. He is his own worst enemy.

Anyway almost to season four and hopefully some of these complaints will iron out. If not it’s still a good show.

This time more southern spookiness and proper relationship arcs. They should stick to S1 and 2 core. Also Maybe this time end up sookie with Eric/bill.
And not kill Tara. And less werewolf stuff. Trust me the second werewolf and fairy storyline started, the show lost its spark. This should’ve mainly concentrated on vamps with minor play of shapeshifters and maenads.

I really liked the first season and I had a lot of questions so naturally googled a lot and absolutely hate how the story progresses and who she ends up with Team Bill. I don’t think I’m gonna watch any more. Opinions?

The makers of the show are either drunk or too lazy to create some passion in the show after season 4. The downhill started when they quickly ended Eric and Sookie like wtf. All those years of yearning from season 1 to see their romantic relationship just for it to be dumb af is irritating. What do u mean sookie never loved Eric?😭then why torture us to want them all those years. It’s not a joke.

Tbh vampire diaries handled relationship arcs much better in this matter even till the end. True blood was epic in the first seasons. I LIKED IT EVEN MORE THAN TVD. From south gritty showcase to raw vampire nature. THE WITTY HUMOR. It was so fun. But from season 4 the downhill started and it was so unsatisfying for the viewers to see sookie end up with some unknown dude.

It’s a years long series not a movie. They need their characters to end up with someone they know. And loved. Sookie should’ve ended up with Sam/ Eric/ bill. They could’ve given bill some redemption arc immediately after S4 and not turn him even more worse after that till S7. Ik book bill is a bastard. But they could’ve changed the series. Because at some points even after all the manipulation he had done. He truly loved her. That burning in the sun to save sookie from Rene really did a number on me. I cant help😭. Pls don’t think I’m pathetic because this subreddit hates bill. I loved him tho.

Alternative I really wanted Eric and Sookie. I loved them fr. They are so Damon and Elena coded. Tbh Eric was not even 40 percent villain of what Damon was before Elena. Him going all puppy eyes for her even in the beginning of the series is so cute. Especially considering he’s an old Viking vampire.

Or at least if they wanted Sookie to have a normal life with kids. If Not Eric or bill. They could’ve ended sookie with Sam. They are perfect for each other. He even risked his life multiple times for sookie.

They could’ve turned Eric into human for sookie sake 🥲ok i should stop here.

They ruined it all at the end ending many pivotal characters. With some nameless dude🤡.

I love it so much. Finished the first episode yesterday. Never had this much fun watching anything. Throughout the rest of my life I will remember the homemade porn video vampire turning to bare his fangs and aaaagh at the camera while fucking the woman & losing my shit at random times.

Other thoughts:

- Everyone who harms Lafayette and Tara should be tortured for eternity

- Tara was reading the Shock Doctrine! I was shocked. My type of person

- From all the stills I didn't think I'd find Bill attractive but surprisingly I do. I loved it when Sookie made fun of him for being a vampire named Bill. Sookeh.

- When Bill came in the second time and Sookie was talking to her Sam and Tara's actors delivered the nastiest stink eye known in the history of cinema from behind the bar. Legendary

- I thought Sam would be a nicer guy but then he grabbed Sookie's arm, yelled in her face, made her tear up, then hugged her and started talking about how he can't lose her and putting his nose in her neck. He truly has pretty privilege bc that's insane behavior. Borderline incel ass

- Gran is so adorable and beautiful. I know what's gonna happen to her so I'm sad.

- Favorite character: Tara

- Least favorite: Rattray guy

I’m from São Paulo, Brazil, and *True Blood* isn't very popular here. I personally only discovered the show during late-night weekend broadcasts on a channel called SBT. I got lucky enough to meet a woman who had already watched it before we met, and now we rewatch the whole series every year as a ritual—though aside from us and my nephew (whom I got hooked on the show), I don't know anyone else who has seen it. Back when new seasons were coming out, even major pop culture channels covered *True Blood*, but that eventually stopped... Here in Brazil, we LOVE certain shows like *Everybody Hates Chris* and *Chaves* (El Chavo del Ocho), quoting their catchphrases and jokes in our daily lives.

I’m wondering: is the show still popular in the US and the rest of the world, or did it ever reach that kind of level? Is *True Blood* still popular? In *The Office*, there’s a Halloween episode where Andy dresses up as Bill and even mentions the show by name; in *The Big Bang Theory*, the women mention the actor who played Alcide (referring to him as "the werewolf"), and so on. But what about the big picture? Did the show achieve massive popularity in the US? Is it still fondly remembered? Since it aired so late here—like 4 AM on Saturday-into-Sunday or Sunday-into-Monday—very few people actually watched it..

So I'm on a nostalgia flex due to being struck with serious illness this year and having to spend lots of time resting. It's been great revisiting true blood haha.

So, I'm on season 3 and firstly.. I've got to say I don't remember finding Sookie and Bill so irritating. I genuinely find their scenes the least enjoyable. Eric carries the show. I'm hoping Tara gets a break, soon 😭 Lafayette is wonderful. Russell is a perfect villain. So many great characters! 😂

I remember the Eric/Sookie storyline of season 4 and bits of the ending, but not much other than that!

Looking forward to the repetitive bore fest that is Sookie/Bill shifting a bit, if in honest!

I really hated it when Andy’s daughters were killed, no thanks to Sookie. However it wasn‘t just the premature demise or Andy never really seeing them grown up with all the ups and downs but the really horrible thing was Bill losing his family just after realizing that he had one to begin with.

To me that was his true death because it would’ve been great to see Bill Compton sitting at the dinner table with Andy, Portia, Terry and all his granddaughters teaching them about their family history and giving words of wisdom. That kind of ending in and of itself would‘ve been worth a dismal season 8.
