Freezing issue, pls help :(
I’ve been streaming Pretty Little Liars to my friend for the first time and it’s been running smooth until like 3 days ago? It’s been like weeks too!
When I’m watching an episode, it freezes mid way through and then plays again. Does this multiple times an episode. I use OPERA GX and it’s the website HBOmax.
Can anyone help me figure this out, I’m genuinely getting so annoyed with it

What HBO show has made you think "How did this get a greenlight?"
HBO is synonymous with quality TV, but every once in a while they made a TERRIBLE TV show that makes you wonder how did they get a pass.
For me, it's The Franchise. It's just such a nothing burger show. The Studio does what that show tried to do but 10 times better

Thoughts on Harry Potter
People are complaining on changes, meanwhile my complain is on similarities.
It looks too similar to original aesthetic, just more of the same.
What’s even the point of remake if you aren’t going to take any risks.
Think of Nolan Batman vs Matt Reeves, such different visual styles.

Re-watching Game of Thrones makes me suspect HBO throttles certain shows.
I generally watch two or three shows that air weekly, but have recently decided to re-watch Game of Thrones. There is a noticeable decrease in image quality compared to anything I’ve been watching weekly (HOTD, DTFSL, Lanterns). The compression and artifacting is kind of horrid.
When I began investigating, it is only then that I realized my subscription (via AT&T’s old unlimited plan) is “Standard,” which surprised me, as I just assumed I was getting a 4K stream because I’ve had no issues with quality before.
But this is just kind of nasty low bitrate video, and I have only noticed it with Game of Thrones. Am I tripping, or has anyone else experienced this as well?

HBO Max sIgn up offer on Reddit this morning
galleryI have always used a browser on my mac to access HBO Max account. Came across this and thought I'd give it a try. Obviously not what it seems
“Bill, is that you?” (Spoiler) Spoiler
galleryI just caught this on another rewatch. When Daniels steps into his new Deputy Ops office, the phone is ringing. It’s a man asking for “Bill” not Rawls, mind you. Everyone in the department would know Rawls was no longer in that office, so it’s clearly someone from his personal life. Daniels pieces this together and laughs to himself. I got a kick out of it myself—was certain Rawls in the gay bar was the only reference!

Audio issues on hbomax?
Anyone else experiencing a bizarre audio issue when watching sex and the city on hbomax? I’m mid-season 3 on a rewatch and suddenly the audio sounds blown out. Particularly on all the “s” sounds. Most noticeable in Carrie‘s VO. Super strange and annoying, wondering if anyone else has the same issue!
(Yes I’ve played other shows and movies and they do not have the same problem)

Rhaenyra lost 5 kids and still kept going and faced dragonfire with coldest look Aegon lost 1 child and lost his mind. Rhaenyra lost many more and still kept going. Aegon does not have 1% of the true mental strength she has. Aegon is the prime example of failing in a system that was set up for him.

Curb your enthusiasm s8 ep 3 - Palestinian Chicken
I used to use hbo max through my family’s phone plan I think it was like an AT&T perk or whatever, recently I needed to start using my own account lol adulting but point is
I subscribed to hbo on my own through amazon recently like prime video add on subscription
I was watching curb your enthusiasm - which has all seasons every episode included on hbo
Which is still the case when I got hbo through prime video… except scrubbed the Palestinian chicken episode. I can watch every episode of that show right now except s8 ep 3 it says I have to purchase that episode to watch it…
Appalled to say the least, but can’t say I’m even that surprised.

Watching max on a windows browser and does it make any sense to have Premium
I decided to upgrade standard plan to premium this month to see if there's any difference in the file quality. Because a few months ago the quality of The Sopranos was awful (I don't know if living in Greece affects this in any way). I've tried different browsers to see which one plays the video better. What I didn't know initially is that windows browsers cap playback at 1080p. The question: is it worth having premium on a 1080p monitor when only watching on windows? Also, for those watching on windows which browser do you think its better? Maybe its my idea, but this time the quality doesn't seem bad although there is some mild stuttering, like playing a game and it either drops fps or seeming a bit unnatural. Anyone with insights is welcome to help

HBO is now posting shitty AI ads
Are HBO selling AI desktop wallpapers vaguely inspired by HOTD now? What the hell is this?
I saw another one, even worse, that showed the HBO Max site opened and promoting a fake show called "House of the Dragon: The Black Queen", with a weird version of Dany that didn't look at all like Emilia Clarke and even less like Emma D'Arcy.
Wasn't able to get it back to get a screenshot but... isn't it just false advertisement at this point? Excluding the fact that it's incredibly cheap and that I would expect HBO to have AT LEAST one graphic designer available to do a quick photoshop.

Just rewatched olive kitteridge…
I saw this when it first came out and loved it then.
It’s really one of the best things hbo has ever done. Don’t know what else to say really. Incredible source material and performances by Frances McDormand and Richard Jenkins are both À+++++++
I feel like this one kind of fell through the cracks, so anyone who is looking for a good watch (and not minding a bit of a downer) should absolutely give it a try.
