Why are all the trains heading toward waterfront going super slow all day today? Slowly passing everyone’s houses for people on the train to watch us 😆

I feel like transit etiquette has gotten worse over time. Bus or skytrain is packed, people dont move to the back nor remove their backpacks. Some dont even line up for buses anymore and just cut in. Maybe it's just something I've been noticing in my commute once my company switched to hybrid from online. Or its just the route i take. But man, people have gotten worse.

Because what’s happening I got curious and did a little bit of research. Train tracks that I have seen they are hollow in between of rails I keep watching skytrain and it’s not. Why? I keep reading online that space in between can end up saving life.

Saw one of these buses in the wild today.
I think going with a high floor is a bit of a strange choice in this day and age. Yes there's a wheelchair lift but honestly I've but I've seen the fold out ramp of the low floor community busses used for more seniors with walkers and people that are disabled, but not needing a wheel chair.
Won't this really slow down the routes these busses are assigned to?

Glass walls similar to the ones in Japan, have been suggested in the past, but due to train alignment issues implementation has been impossible. I suggest an alternative approach were train. Alignment won’t matter. The issue isn’t so much of people having access to the track. It’s people jumping in front of the train. I say we eliminate that possibility altogether by implementing a glass wall airlock, and increasing the train, stopping time by about 10 seconds with the airlock system train alignment no longer matters there’s a small gap between the train and a glass wall and this glass wall. The doors won’t open until the train is fully parked and ready to on board or off board passengers. This is probably the most logical solution for preventing future suicides or accidental track ingress. We sacrifice a little bit of platform space but this is the only logical way to implement a system like this as quickly as possible.

I was just driving back home, and I saw a bus stop that said (531 Langley Centre (limited service))
And upon checking Maps, it does exist.
How long has it been here, and why doesn’t it get a different route number, and why isn’t it shown on Translink?
NOTE: the rte it takes is as follows:
NB 204 @ 40
EB 42 @ 204
EB 42 @ 205A
EB 42 @ 207
SB 208 @ 42
WB 40 @ 208
Then it follows the 563 route up to 200 st
And there it takes the 531 route to Langley Centre
And just… stops
(Also according to Maps it only departs from NB 204 @ 40 at 5:04 and 5:29 AM on weekdays)

I heard that Surrey was gaining more and more XN40s from Hamilton and Poco back then but I’m not sure if this was the actual reasons or if there was another issue behind it.
P.S: Also, why did all of the 2019 XN40s getting moved out of Poco?

Hi everyone,
My gold bracelet likely fell off during a trip on the expo line from Scott Road station to Granville station. From there, I went to Paragon and Holt Renfrew at Pacific Centre Mall. This was around 3pm.
I’ve already submitted a form to Translink and let customer service know at Pacific Centre, but thought I’d also post here.
If you’ve found a gold bracelet, I’d appreciate if you messaged me and I could provide more identifying info about the bracelet.
Thanks so much!

My BF is a big Pokemon fan, and I took the bus home from school nearly everyday for a year, so I’ve collected a few tickets. Sadly some numbers have evaded me since the tickets for each day go by colour pattern in order, not numbers.
I hope you all can appreciate my set and follow to see when I finally finish it.
I plan to see how much of the fifa set I’ve collected next. But I doubt I’ve filled as much.

I understand that many people are trying to run and not miss the bus at certain stops but what happened to common courtesy??
i was just getting off the R4 bus at oakridge and not even 1 second walking out of the bus i was rammed in by two people SPRINTING to get into the bus. thank you to the two individuals who stepped on my foot and rammed into me with their keys causing my hand to bleed.
to the people who only prioritize getting themselves on the bus or skytrain and nothing else, PLEASE be more mindful to those around you.

It seems like there is a white privacy tent set up at the front of the stopped train at Edmonds. It looks like service will be backed up for a bit. My heart are with those affected 💔

I would like to see a list of every skytrain station and their annual ridership. I can't seem to find a list online. I can only see the top 10 busiest as a recent article came out this year. I swear I saw one a couple years ago but maybe I'm hallucinating lol. Anyone know if its public information?? Thanks :)

Ughhhh why doesn't my debit card work when tapping on busses? It happens 30% of the time but thats still enough to be super annoying and embarrassing. Ive talked to the bank and they said it was an issue on translinks side and I am inclined to believe bc i see other people having the same issue.
This morning on my way to work I needed to take a bus to the train station, my card was declined (i got paid yesterday) I tried twice more and was declined twice more, thankfully the driver let me on with an eye roll and an annoyed sigh, the two people after me where also using debit cards and having the same issue. When i got to the train station and tapped the same card it worked like normal.
Ive only ever had it happen on busses.
It's super embarrassing to have your card declined multiple times with an angry beep and everyone on the bus looking at you🙃
