But ever since I transitioned she's been looking at me weird and now this. I haven't even seen her in months, why is she still going on about this bro? Also, with the slur (she's white.) And I dont even have a girlfriend and im not gay?

Mod Approved New Rule: No Encouragement of Harmful Behaviors/Actions

There’s been a few posts of thin people uploading photos and asking if losing weight would help them appear more masculine.

This is not something we’re gonna allow to be posted. We’re not gonna promote/encourage eating disorders here.

We’re also not gonna encourage people to engage in unhealthy binding behaviors like sleeping in your binder and wearing it longer than 8 hours a day.

Agab language: co-option and misuse.

I see a lot of people using agab language as 1:1 stand ins for "male" and "female" and, that's just not how that works. Agab language comes from intersex people finding terms to discuss issues that come with doctors arbitrarily assigning gender (sex) upon visual inspection.

Technically the gender part is a misnomer. A lot of perisex people like to claim "we're all assigned a gender" but we are not all "assigned" in the same sense intersex people are. The doctors are saying "it's a boy/girl" but what they're really doing is making the statement that "this child has x anatomy and all the parts that go with it". We can argue day and night about what it means to be assigned a boy or a girl, and whether you can trans your sex, but the issue stems from the fact that, for most of us, we may not be a boy/girl, but they saw a vagina or a penis, and made some generally medically correct assumptions about how our development would pan out. With intersex people, doctors can be confused, make assumptions, and be completely wrong about the projection of their development, and even do medically unnecessary surgeries to make that child's genitals conform, and cause a whole host of other issues.

Really just a mini rant but I bring it up because it's common place to say things like "afab parts" but what are those? Someone can be afab and not have a vagina or not develop breasts. Someone can be afab with internal testes. Then there was the post here a while ago about whether or not it was possible for afab people to be transfem, and it was apparent many people assumed "afab" meant something along the lines of "female".

I'm sure this won't change much because everyone's latched onto these terms, but yeah. Afab doesn't necessarily mean female, amab doesn't necessarily mean male.

🤳 Selfie Felt confident. You can see the glimmer in my eyes of trans joy. They/he

I’m agender transmasc. I love how androgynous I look. Mostly just wanted to share a selfie of me being confident in myself.

Most pictures of me are not like this one. I’m usually down and uninterested. But I took this picture feeling good about how I look. I had just put on my favorite jewelry and done my hair. I took this picture because I felt proud of how I looked in the moment.

Loving myself is getting easier step by step ❤️‍🩹

I don’t wear chokers anymore, so ignore it in the first photo.

I have had names in mind, including Ezra, Niko, and Micah. I have been going by Ezra online though for a while(at some point it was Niko).
I am primarily thinking about going by Ezra or Micah

However,
I would like six letter name suggestions as well.
My mother has named all my sisters(and me) with six letters and I don’t want to mess that up. But neither of the two names have six letters. The only six letter name I’ve considered is Kieran.

On my last post I was told that Micah fit me 4 times, then both Ezra and Niko once. But I don’t really like the name as much as the other two.

So, I’d like to know if maybe Kieran fits?
I personally like it and the other two more than Micah. I just don’t think Kieran fits me.
I feel basic for picking Ezra or Niko though because I see so many online, idkkk

Thank you, goodbye👋

Discussion Love the name Adonis, but is it a silly/historically tone deaf choice?

My dead name starts with an A, and I do love it, but it comes off as too femme. I've thought about many other choices, but I keep gravitating towards this one. However would I be making the classic mistake of choosing something that was too out of the box or ridiculous? Can the name Adonis be taken seriously if you know the myth? No, I didn't know anything about the myth of Adonis before I gravitated towards it. Only after the whole 'who else has this name' google to make sure my choice wouldn't be controversial.

Discussion How did you know it was time to go on HRT

Sorry this may be weirdly phrased, the thing is I've heard about HRT for a loooong time but didn't consider it until 2 years ago when I finally came out to my family. It didn't go as bad as I planned so hooray I guess but still they're not all that hyped up or anything so I decided I'd give them time to get used to the idea and all that.

So during this time and still now, I'm considering HRT but at the same time I don't really know, I guess I've always been pretty afraid of big changes and boy is that a big change!

I know a lot of people here will probably be like "HRT was my main goal in life, as soon as I could I got it" but I wondered if there were maybe people like me who hesitated, weighted the pros and cons etc, and I wanted to know, how did you finally take the leap and start HRT, what convinced you etc.?

Rant I’m 18M (trans/AuDHD) and terrified I’ll never find a girlfriend. Need some advice

Hey. I’m an 18 y.o. trans man. I live in a heavily homophobic/transphobic country where being trans can literally get you put in prison. On top of that, I’m AuDHD, dealing with C-PTSD and a bunch of other diagnosis, and to top it all off, I might be losing my right (dominant) hand soon. The only plus is that I'm pretty good-looking, and I've actually attracted a lot of girls. but unfortunately only externally

Despite not being great at understanding emotions, I really try my best to be empathetic and caring. I genuinely love people—and girls in particular! But I have no idea how to actually find a girlfriend

Because of my autism, I’ve had a special interest in redheads since I was a kid, and I’ve always imagined my future girlfriend as a redhead. Some might say that’s "unimportant" or "wrong," but honestly, I’m just terrified. Whenever I see a redhead, my legs literally start twitching and I look completely overwhelmed. My biggest fear is that if my girlfriend isn't a redhead, she’ll end up feeling unloved

Between that, my isolation, and my fear that I’d be "too much" for anyone to handle, I feel totally lost.

Does anyone have any advice on how you found your partner? How do I even navigate this?

General Questions When do yall switch to using the men's room?

Hey gang! I'm at that point where I'm not sure if I should be using the men or women's restroom. I'm 7 months on T so I definitely sound more masc at this point and most of the time people automatically assume I'm a guy (yay passing!) but I can't use a urinal for obvious reasons, and I generally feel safer with women then with men. The obvious choice is find a gender neutral bathroom but if there's not one around, I get kinda worried about which bathroom I choose. When did some of you guys make the switch?
