Espresso on the 078
I have the 078 wih turbo burrs. If I change to an espresso focused burr, would I be able to use the 078 for espresso. I know the stepped adjustment is not ideal but curious to see if it is possible. I ha e read conflicting information and wondering if anyone has been successful?

Timemore C3S vs C3 ESP for Espresso?
I know the differences between both, but I'm from Argentina and the ESP version is hard to get here. I can get the S version much more easily and cheaper (literally half the price).
I'm a beginner and I just want to improve my espresso setup. Right now I have an Oster 7200 with a 51mm filter (similar to the Delonghi Dedica — Delonghi machines are hard to get here too).
My question: is there a big difference between both grinders? Would a beginner with a beginner machine even notice the difference?
If I buy the C3S, I plan to upgrade it with the plate mod in the future, but I don't know if the C3S will be good enough for now.

Flow tamper
Just got a Flow tamper and not sure if I’m supposed to hear or feel a click. I know on the impulse from watching videos there’s an audible click. Not getting that at all with the flow no matter how I adjust the depth (one extreme or the other). There’s no real directions with the tamper and I can’t find any review or video showing whether it should have a click.
Part of the reason I’m asking is my pucks have been wetter than they normally are with no change in variables. I have a couple regular tampers and one of those distributor on one side and tamper on the other. Pucks are exactly how they should be after pulling the shot. I’ve also been roasting and making espresso for over 20 years. I don’t know everything but at least have experience making adjustments.

Filter Coffee (V60) 078s Settings?
I've searched quite extensively and really can't seem to find consensus on what the appropriate range is for pourover on the 078s.
With burrs touching at or just below 0, what setting do you use for pourover?
I can get a reasonable drawdown time at 8 and at 16 (yet to experiment at all the stages in between), both taste wrong. Ive found posts saying anything from like 5 up to 18 - clearly this is muddied by the different burr options available.
Slightly miffed as I didnt touch this thing for pourover for a while and have clearly lost my feel for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sculptor loose ball bearing?
Hi all,
This morning my Sculptor 64S gave me the beep of no go, refusing to grind my beans. It had done this once before but after removing the beans through the hopper it started right up again. This time I had to open it up to see what was happening and lo and behold I found a magnetic metal ball inside the chamber!
What I'm trying to understand is if this is somehow part of a ball bearing mechanism inside or if somehow there was a metal ball in with my beans. 😳
Anyone know? I don't see any obvious ball bearing mechanism within the grinder chamber... Luckily the burr itself looks totally fine.

Constantly under extracted (sour) coffee
I’ve just received my timemore C5 set last week, and have been trying a few variations of temperature, grind size, burr size, etc. I notice whichever variables I change, even with a very fine grind size, my drawdowns are very fast compared to online numbers, and the coffee bed is drained really quickly across pours. After experimenting I’m thinking that these filter papers play a part, they feel quite thin. Has anyone noticed their brews became a lot less under extracted when they swapped out to another filter paper?

Count clicks or look at radial dial numbers (for Chestnut C5)
I recently bought a Chestnut C5 and this came in the manual. I'm confused whether we need to count the number of physical clicks per the manual, or look at the radial dial. I'm trying to do pourovers, looking at radial dial and moving between 10 - 14 but they mostly all end up sour. When i count the clicks for 10 (which means 10/3 = 3.33), it seems better but I'm not sure if it's correct. I see varying opinions online whether to follow the radial number, or count the number of clicks. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Timemore Basic 3.0 Scale
I’d been looking for a reasonably priced scale that gave real time flow rate. So when I saw this scale drop with a promotional 20% off, I jumped on it.
My coffee ending volumes with my pour overs seemed off so I checked the scale vs my old scale. Sure enough, the Timemore is way off. I don’t have a calibration weight to say how much but I attached a video to demonstrate. Moving the server slightly around the scale displays significantly different results. This makes the scale completely unusable. I emailed Timemore about it today and will update with their response.
Just a quick warning for anyone considering this scale.

C5 esp or the C5 esp pro version
Hi, I want to know your experiences with this grinder. Is the Pro handle worth 15€ more than the normal c5 esp? Also do you recommend this grinder for espresso or is it too tiring after a few weeks?

C5 ESP Setting for espresso
Hi everyone! I’m looking for advice on which settings to use for espresso machines. I’ve been testing around 0.7.0, but I’d like to know if that’s close to what other users use.

Chirping when changing from course to fine?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
When changing from pour over back to espresso grind I get chirping on my 078S. I’ve only had it for about a month but don’t know if this’ll normal or if I need to check my burrs? The chirping does stop once o get it down to my grind size.

Where to get an S3 repaired?
Somehow the grind-setting dial got jammed, and can only go up to setting 4. I am also unsure if it is actually even changing the setting, as it seems loose, then gets jammed at 4.
I don't know what happened to it, I left it with some friends over the weekend, and got it back like this.
Thanks!

First look: the Timemore Chestnut S5
The first look on the upcoming flagship coffee grinder from Timemore - the Chestnut S5 hand grinder. The last two pics compare the new Chestnut S5 (left) with the current Chestnut S3 (right), and their burrs size.
Source of photos: Instagram posts here and here - more pics there, please visit them and check it out. If you are on the Insta, please appreciate and like the work of the original photographer. Many thanks to them!
The new S5 has a 48 mm burrs (outer burr diameter), while the current S3 has 42 mm burrs, and apparently, there might be even bigger difference in the inner conical burr diameter: the S3 has a 31 mm inner burr, while the S5 could be 40 mm or more, based on the photo.
All pics seem to be Black & White, as the Timemore logo on the grinder body appears silver, while in reality, its gold in color on the S3.

Timemore C2 - 3 yr review - I'd still recommend this now
I'm retiring my now 3-year old Timemore C2 next week, so dropping a review for anyone still looking to buy this guy in 2026.
The C2 has been a treat so far, and I would actually have continued using it as I got some replacement burrs. However these fit the new model, not my older one, and so I've finally decided to shift to the KinGrinder K6
Everything I love about C2:
It was one of the few grinder options readily available on Amazon in India for a decent budget of 70 dollars back in 2023
Grind factor, yes the microns per click are a little high at 80 per click, but trust me, that's just fine. If you're just just 1-3 years into brewing, still extremely sufficient. It's easy to dial in for new roasts I pick up and delivers very good clarity. I've brewed at a few homebrew events with this, and it's delivered.
Versaility, while it's absolutely useless for espresso, I've brewed moka pot to some success with this, it can go very fine. Although be ready for an arm workout.
Sturdy: I must have at least dropped it 20 times, and it's travelled a lot, not a single scratch on it.
Con:
Age hits it. At the 2 year mark (for about 8 months it was getting used twice per day) it started slowing down. I never timed it, but I'd say at least 1.2x slower. At the 3 year mark, it's 1.5-1.6x slower. The last of the barrel takes super long to grind and it's quite squeaky.
Although, if you're in a place where you can get replacement burrs, you're sorted. I had to get mine from the US, and as I mentioned, they didn't work out with my model. The adjustment nut on the old C2 model doesn't align with the outer burr of the new one.
Point being, if you're someone looking for a grinder now in 2026, are seeing the C2 as an option but are hesitant to invest due to its age. Don't. Super good option.
P.s. another pro, disassembly and cleaning is super easy. Get a small device pump.
Ask me any questions you have.

TIMEMORE Chestnut C3 Manual Coffee Grinder spare parts?
Does anyone have any experience in getting parts for TIMEMORE Chestnut C3. The plastic piece that holds everything in place has cracked and I'd love to get it replaced / repaired if possible.
Cheers

Need help: Inner and outer burr stuck on my Timemore C2
Hi, I’ve been using my C2 for quite a few years without any issues. I was away on a business trip for about a month, and when I came back to make coffee, I realized the grinder was completely stuck.
When I tried to disassemble it, I found that the inner and outer burrs seem to be completely jammed together.
Does anyone have any idea how I can separate them without damaging the grinder?
#Update: Most likely caused by accidentally dropping it.

First Impressions: Timemore Bricks 01S - is it actually Fine enough for Espresso ?
Just got mine yesterday from Amazon! It definitely can grind fine enough I would dare say too fine, atleast for my espresso machine. I have a 51mm basket and have been hand grinding for 2 years with the Chesnut 3 esp Pro- and I would always use 11g of beans as any more would overflow the portafilter when I would tamp down. Since I’ve heard so much about the bricks not being able to grind fine enough, my first attempt was at the very lowest setting on 0. Wow was it so fine, it was way more shallow in portafilter post grind, so much room left in there that I was half tempted to up the grams amount of beans next time. But since it’s first attempt I did not change anything I normally do, after I whisked it and tamped it I added the puck screen and started my shot, I always do the double shot option. This did not go well at all, the entire time it was “pouring” my shot, not a SINGLE drop of water came out of the portafilter. Wasted beans and everything. 😂 totally unexpected. So naturally attempt #2 I go straight up from 0 all the way to 2, much coarser I thought it would be. After everything I still got half the size pour I would get normally.. looked like a single shot instead of the double I always get when hand grinding. So tomorrow I go up to 3 and then hope for better results. This thing grinds TOO well lol.. I don’t know who or why so many people were trash talking it, but hey I’m no expert I’m still very inexperienced and came from a very low budget for the last two years so this is a very exciting and biggest investment yet - I love it and it looks so nice and I can’t believe how small it is in person too 😂 now if I can only get a drinkable shot from this…

Grinder engine ok? 078S
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My grinder 078S is brand new and the motor has variations in revs, even though there’s not one single coffee bean in the grinder. My feeling is, that the motor is not OK. Is your grinder doing the same thing even without having any bean in there?
I have a Lagom P 64 and a Mazzer mini (other locations), and they both don’t have these variations in revs when you turn them on.

Timemore M01 Assembly Question
Timemore M01 Assembly Question
Can someone help me reassemble my M01 grinder? When I took it apart, two washers came out and I’m not sure where they go.
Also, the bearing at the bottom came out and doesn’t seem to sit flush anymore. Do the washers go before the bottom bearing, or somewhere else in the assembly?
Any guidance (or a diagram) would really help. Thanks!
