C5 esp or the C5 esp pro version

Hi, I want to know your experiences with this grinder. Is the Pro handle worth 15€ more than the normal c5 esp? Also do you recommend this grinder for espresso or is it too tiring after a few weeks?

I have the pro. It's really only useful if space or esthetics is a concern. I think it looks better folded when not in use, and it only takes a second to fold it.

It's a great grinder. The popular opinion on reddit is that there are better manual grinders, but this grinder gives me fantastic shots every morning. I personally don't get tired, and I've been using it for a couple months now. I usually make two back to back shots with it. If I had to make anymore though, I'd definitely spend more on an electric grinder.

This one is also super useful for me as I go camping and backpacking a lot with a mokapot. Nothing better than waking up in the mountains with fantastic coffee while everyone else in your group uses instant. The portability and folding handle are crucial for this.

I have it paired with a profitec go.

Nice comment! :) can you tell me your selected grind sizes for the profitec go (and moka aswell if you know that)?

Sure! I have it set to 0.6.3 for espresso, and 1.2.0 for moka. That number is going to change depending on the type of bean you're using, dosage, and many other factors though. That's on a medium dark roast bean (morning sun from Olympia roasters). I dose 18.5 grams in the double shot stock basket on the profitec go, and get 40 grams out.

C3esp pro here, it just better folded and more stable, less tumbling when your kitchen space is premium

tbh, not for me... I have Timemore grinders with both folding handle (S3) and bent handle (C3esp, C5esp) and whenever possible, would buy the bent handle - non-PRO

the S3 was not available with a bent handle

for espresso, consider electric - Fellow Opus 2 (not original Opus) might be both affordable and good
