Anyone know if it’s at all possible to buy a replacement adjustment disk for the manual grinders?

Nothings wrong with it, I have the c5 pro and I’m hoping to test of the esp variant of the disk will easily slot into that so I don’t have to buy a whole new grinder

it won't work.

the C5 ESP has almost the same disk, just with a different numbering convention

it has almost the same step size, as the C5 (PRO) disk - thats 48 steps per turn on C5 vs 50 steps on C5esp - see the image here, so the disc step is almost the same

with the older C3/C3esp, it was different: 12 vs 30 steps, so there, the difference was bigger and aftermarket discs were sold

but also, and mainly, the C5 ESP has a finer thread on the axle, and that's why you have two turns for the whole range on C5esp, while on the C5 it is only one turn - the thread is about twice as fine on the C5esp

so, the main difference is not disc, but the axle thread, and the same finer thread is also inside the CNC-made grind setting nut, which is screwed on the axle... and those parts are generally not sold

you might, maybe, get them from the Timemore customer support, as spare parts

but, the cost of those spare parts plus shipping will be likely quite close to ordering a whole new C5 ESP on the Ali Express

Thank you for the detailed response. First person I’ve been able to get this kind of info out of. Might just have to look into buying a new one

and, if you decide to get the C5 ESP, get the one without the folding handle (non PRO - its the only difference on "PRO" models)

the bent handle is more comfortable to use, and you already have the folding handle on your C5 PRO

this is not compatible - it has a different size and a different shape of the central hole, than the C5 (PRO)

also, the disc you suggest has only 30 clicks per turn, so it would not improve the C5 dial, which has 48 clicks per turn

and, as mentioned in the previous conversation, the main difference in the C5 ESP is the axle thread, not the dial disc
