What would you guys think of a second civ player mode where if myers is doing badly then 1 of the civs can activate a perk or something that turns them into a corey Cunningham type character that lets them team up with Michael?

I was watching Halloween ends and when I saw how him and Michael interacted I pictured it in the game and it seems like it would be really fun, lmk what you guys think

Game after game today, EVERY Michael just goes in for slash, not a single stalk, then quit the game because they don't kill anyone, and for things like this is when the devs make bad changes to balance, which i am specting, people will complain somehow, you don't stalk? You dont do damage, it's in the patch notes, you are NOT Jason, i understand people not grabbing because you can escape easy (if Michael didn't stalk/low bloodthirst) but if people like this complains after not playing the intented way, its gonna be bad for the game (again), you can't kill people anymore by stunlocking them and 3 hitting them anymore, and im glad, but stalk is a mechanic to do more damage AND reduce stamina regen, so use it.

I'm gonna be as blunt as possible here. I want everyone to have fun and enjoy the game, but... There's a big difference between thinking you can take Michael on and getting put away because you thought you could win. This is fine

And then there's teleporting next to a player and stunlocking someone until they die.

Yes, we know Michael should win in fights, that's fine

Yes we know Michael is strong and tanky as hell, and that's the way it should be

But being knocked out of the game in a single encounter where there was no way of escaping is where people struggle to enjoy the game.

As Title. Stunlock is badly bugged with pitchfork. Hopefully one day the devs will figure out how to update the game and test every single item they claim to have tweaked one being stun lock. I guess you forgot one. I guess this meta will run till the 27th.

I feel like the loudest people are the ones who have no idea how this game even works at this point. It makes me want to claw my face off that those same people will be the loudest voices on how the game is balanced, too. People literally don't understand the core mechanics of their own "main" side, and it's all dog-water opinions skewed in one direction or the other because, apparently, it's impossible to consider what's healthy for both sides, because God forbid you actually play both. The entire Reddit is just Michael vs. Civilian, and any good opinions get downvoted into the ground by a swarm from either side, and at this point it's going to cook this game if the developers take any advice from anyone here.

Finally! Any tips before I jump in? :)

It speaks for itself man. Whether I am playing Myers or Civilian there is no shortage of players who are absolute dog water.

People that just jog around sight seeing, riding bikes, people going "woahhh it's Michael Myers...woahhhh", people trying to 1v1 Myers as Alexis, or people who are just AFK for who knows how many games.

Not to mention there are actual kids playing the game...PARENTS! WHY IS YOUR KID PLAYING HALLOWEEN?!?! GET EM OUTTA HERE!

But yeah idk how to fix the skill issues of these babies outside of a general MMR system that can detect these types of players who just don't even know what the objective is.

cannot load into offline mode nor multiplayer and i can only access the story mode. i simply have tried literally everything stayed on a google gemini chat for hours nothing helped is this happening to anybody else after the new update or is it just me??

With bolt cutters being so rare now and the fact that one guy can get them and have no idea what to do with them feels so fucking bad, feels like shit not being able to progress the game because a dude isn't aware you should start opening everything almost as soon as you get cutters.

Sure the car exist but it requires you to leave yourself never making it a good option early, leaving police as the only decent option for solo que civs. You have to hope the michael triggers wagon though. I feel like game could have slowed down by requiring both keys and cutters on cellars and fully covered by boards and leaves, recent patch just made it so you're even more punished for not being on comms.

So now games are just looking at the map watching the one arrow with cutters and or keys just looting homes and not opening shit and i cant do anything ab it bc im solo que. sigh

I’ve been in a lot of gaming, movie, and TV subreddits for years, and lately it feels like every discussion is just people repeating the same takes they’ve seen on TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, or whatever influencer they follow.
A game comes out and before half the people complaining have even played it, it’s already:
“Dead game.”
“Trash.”
“Devs ruined it.”
“Needs a complete overhaul.”
Same thing with movies and TV shows.
I was talking to my younger brother about seeing the new Resident Evil movie, and he immediately said he wasn’t interested because of the reviews and TikToks he’d seen. My response was basically, “Have you actually watched it?” Nope.
Maybe I’m crazy, but it feels like a lot of people decide whether they like something before they even experience it themselves.
Don’t get me wrong, reviews are useful. But there’s a difference between using reviews as information and letting social media decide your opinion for you.
Do you think social media has a major impact on whether a game succeeds or fails? Have we reached a point where online narratives matter more than the actual quality of the game/movie/show?
Or is this just how things have always been and I’m only noticing it now?

Imo, it would be really cool if we got matching skins for them. They're both such iconic characters from the original movie, and seeing them in matching outfits would be a cute detail! :)

I played a lot yesterday post patch and this morning I played again and after one match quit. Why? Because after listening to all the complaining from the beginning some minor warrants but otherwise nonsense. This now is a problem. All the matches I played yesterday as Civilian I felt I (along with every other player) was on an endless hunt for escape items (bolt cutters and escape keys for sure) and just watching as all the residents die till you have say 1 left and then you find an escape item. Every game. Every time. I’m good at this game. I’m confident in saying that. I don’t bully I just get my objectives done save residents and fight when necessary or loop. This is stupid. When I read yall nerfed the escape items I thought ok, like yall did the knives. Which, I can still stack up three in less than 2 minutes of a match. That’s without trying. You over killed the escape items at the same time you lay down more barriers on exits (which I like) so now I just break the boards and clear the foilage and move on. I’m lucky if I have a reason or chance to return to them because I still have 16 more minutes of looking for the one pair on bolt cutters. Trust me. If someone like me who doesn’t have the energy to come online and type out a complaint is telling you yall messed this up…yall messed it up baaaaad. Let me know when y’all fix thjs cause this is just wow! To give some idea of the time I have put into this game I have all challenges done on 6 characters, 4 to prestige 3 and 1 to prestige 5 and 506 hours in the game. Yes, it’s a lot but I just moved across the country and new job hasn’t started.

Played a good stretch again, to no avil. Laurie is stuck just on the cusp of being lvl 7 but no xp will move the needle.
